Al Hidd Primary School Successfully Integrates Autistic Students Into Regular Classrooms
According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Mohamed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education, highlighted the school's efforts and commended the special education teachers, Haya Jassim Hassan, Fatima Falah Al Asfoor, Fatima Ibrahim Ashour, and Nasaem Khalifa Al Maqahwi, for their key role in this accomplishment, under the supervision of School Principal Hanadi Mubarak Isa.
The principal highlighted the school's specialised educational programmes designed to develop autistic students' abilities in Arabic, mathematics, English, and science, alongside nurturing their personal, artistic, and social skills through the I Am Creative project. This initiative aims to develop independence, confidence, and positive integration into society.
She explained that the school's Future Champions class, dedicated to autistic students, employs diverse teaching strategies, including play-based learning to enhance engagement and comprehension, individualised instruction tailored to students' needs, and a focus on 21st-century skills to promote independence and effective communication. Students are also encouraged to participate in school competitions.

The exhibition underscores the pivotal role of the Holy Quran in standardising and enhancing the Arabic language. Through its linguistic precision and aesthetic excellence, the Quran has significantly influenced the tools of writing and pronunciation, helping Arabic evolve into a comprehensive and eloquent language. Rare manuscripts and artefacts from the Holy Quran Academy's collection are on display, showcasing the artistic diversity of Arabic calligraphy. These exhibits reveal how the written word has preserved heritage and served as a mirror of societal and intellectual shifts in the Arab and Islamic worlds. Eman Bushulaibi, Director of SPL, said: 'The exhibition is part of SPL's ongoing efforts to introduce the public to the rich artistic and cultural heritage embedded in Arabic writing. The development of Arabic script reflects a cultural movement that played a key role in the intellectual and scientific renaissance of the Arab and Islamic world.' She added that despite the limited tools available to early scribes — just reed pens and inkwells — they succeeded in creating a legacy of knowledge that continues to inspire. 'We hope visitors will reflect on this enduring power of writing and its vital role in preserving identity and sharing ideas across generations.' SPL encourages residents and visitors of all ages to explore the journey of the Arabic letter, from stone inscriptions to printed books, in this unique celebration of a living linguistic heritage.

2025 Summer Enrichment Program Registration Underway
The Ministry of Education has announced the opening of online registration for its 2025 Summer Enrichment Program, with the registration window set for today until July 10, accessible via the National Portal ( The annual program is a key initiative by the Ministry to provide students with constructive and enriching activities during their summer break, focusing on academic, cultural, and social development. This year's program will feature a diverse array of workshops and in-person lectures spanning various disciplines, including science, culture, sports, arts, entertainment, scouting, and girl guides. Activities will be hosted at 10 dedicated summer centers strategically located across the Kingdom's governorates. Centres These include five centers specifically for boys and five for girls, alongside the Gifted Student Care Center, which will accommodate both male and female students. The program is designed for children aged 9 to 15 years, with daily activities scheduled from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The enrichment program is set to run from July 13 to August 7, 2025. 60% of textbooks distributed
The first two days of textbook distribution for the upcoming academic year — which began last Sunday — saw 60% of textbooks successfully distributed to students and their parents. His Excellency Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education, noted that the high turnout reflects the strong awareness and commitment of parents to the educational process and their deep partnership with the Ministry and the education sector as a whole. This came as the Minister chaired the Committee for the Start of the Academic Year, with the attendance of officials from various educational and support sectors. Dr. Juma, expressed pride in the tremendous efforts made by the Ministry's multiple teams — starting with the Curriculum Sector, the Logistics Services Sector, and extending to schools and their staff who are actively engaged in the daily distribution of books to students and parents. He extended his sincere thanks and appreciation to all involved. The Ministry of Education also calls on parents to take the initiative to collect their children's textbooks. Distribution will continue at all public schools until Wednesday, June 25, 2025.
