19-year-old charged for deadly Gainesville crash, hindering investigation
The deadly crash happened on April 24. Gainesville police said Jose Ruben Acosta Turcios was driving his Infiniti G37 at a high speed when he lost control and hit multiple fixed objects, flipping his car.
His passenger, Paquito Turcios Galvez, 35, died.
According to police, Turcios 'willfully hindered the investigation by fabricating information surrounding the details of the crash.'
The teenager was charged with homicide by vehicle, obstruction, reckless driving, racing, failure to maintain lane, driving too fast for conditions and driving on the wrong side of the road.
Jail records show he was arrested on Tuesday and was given a $3,670 bond.

The photos show a smiling Cutler crouching over a dead giant sable antelope — a massive hoofed mammal known for its large, curved horns. 'Kicked off the Africa hunt with a beauty. Sable down,' the first post reads. Another post included a video montage of the hunt and Cutler shooting the animal. Cutler uploaded more pictures of a seemingly dead antelope on Monday with the caption 'Another great day.' While some commenters congratulated Cutler, and noted the meat from the animals tends to be donated to locals, the trophy hunting got some criticism too. 'Wow, Jay you killed a wild animal in a place it's rarely hunted and it had zero idea you were a threat,' one Instagram user commented on the first post. 'Super impressive.' 'I went to Africa on a safari and saw the most incredible wildlife and never once thought about murdering them,' another wrote. The giant sable antelope, which is considered critically endangered and nearly extinct, was considered 'rare and impressive animal' in its native Angola, according to the Carnegie Museum of Natural history. 'Never numerous, today the Giant Sable is critically endangered, threatened by habitat loss, civil war, and poachers. Active conservation efforts continue, but population estimates indicate there are less than a hundred mature individuals,' the museum's website reads. However, the International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources' Red List, which tracks species, classifies the giant sable antelope as 'stable' overall. While Cutler's hunting appears perfectly legal, he's run into trouble in the past. He was arrested for DUI and gun possession in Tennessee last October. Cutler, 42, played 12 seasons in the NFL with the Denver Broncos, Chicago Bears and Miami Dolphins.

Browns rookie Quinshon Judkins accused of punching woman with ‘closed fist' as new details in arrest emerge
Cleveland Browns rookie Quinshon Judkins allegedly struck a woman in the mouth with a "closed fist" during a physical altercation that led to his arrest in Florida earlier this month, according to new details. Judkins, who was drafted by the Browns with the 36th overall pick following a standout season at Ohio State, was arrested by the Fort Lauderdale Police Department over the weekend and charged with battery and domestic violence following an incident that occurred with a romantic partner on July 7. The couple began arguing after flying into Fort Lauderdale Airport, the NFL Network reported, citing a police report. The woman claimed that Judkins was seemingly upset over text messages that he received from family members while the pair was waiting for their luggage at baggage claim. The police report did not detail what was said in the text messages, but the woman told law enforcement that she was attempting to dispel whatever was said in the messages. After getting in their rental car outside the airport, the woman claimed that the argument turned physical. "The victim stated that the defendant then punched her in the mouth/chin area with a closed fist," the police report read, noting that the woman still had visible bruising on her chin area. The argument continued in the vehicle, and according to the report, the woman at one point sat in the back of the car. "The victim stated that the defendant turned around while he was driving and struck her additional times in the left arm and leg," the report stated, noting additional bruising in those areas. The woman contacted the police days later on July 12, telling law enforcement that she did not report the alleged incident immediately because she "felt bad due to the recent success and career of the defendant." Judkins was released on Sunday after he posted a $2,500 bond. The judge ordered the NFL player not to be in contact with the alleged victim and have no access to firearms.
