Jay-Z Joins Beyonce on Stage on Cowboy Carter Tour in Paris, Omits Kanye West's Name in Hit Song
Jay-Z reunited with his wife, Beyoncé, for their first live performance together in six years on Sunday, June 22.
Jay-Z — real name Shawn Carter — joined his superstar spouse on stage for her third and final Cowboy Carter Tour performance at Paris' Stade de France. The couple reeled off a string of their biggest hits, including 'Crazy in Love' and 'Drunk in Love,' which was remixed with Beyoncé's song 'Partition.'
The rapper also treated Paris to a live rendition of 'N****s in Paris,' his hit collaboration with Kanye West from their 2011 Watch the Throne album.
Jay-Z notably tweaked one specific lyric referring to his longtime collaborator. Instead of rapping, 'Just might let you meet Ye,' he said, 'Just might let you meet Bey,' per fan footage shared via social media.

While Jay-Z, 55, and West, 48, were once close friends, they appear to have had a falling out in recent years.
In a since-deleted X post in April, West claimed that the drama stems from their collaboration on the song 'Jail,' which appeared on his 2021 album, Donda.
'Why did Jay Z have to say 'no red hat' on Jail,' West wrote via X. 'That s*** tore me to my soul. We fought about it and he told me either leave that line on there or take my verse off. Me wearing the red hat was the most stand out example of me going against 'the program.' Do you guys think he was instructed to say that?'
In Jay-Z's verse on the track, he rapped, 'Told him, 'Stop all of that red cap, we goin' home' / Not me with all of these sins, castin' stones / This might be the return of The Throne (Throne) / Hova and Yeezus, like Moses and Jesus.'

The lines were a reference to West's support of President Donald Trump, which often saw the rapper wearing a red 'Make America Great Again' cap.
In March, West made headlines for disparaging posts about Jay-Z and Beyoncé's twins, Rumi and Sir, 8. (Jay-Z and Beyoncé, 43, also share daughter Blue Ivy, 13.)
Shortly after his tweets about Jay-Z's kids, West apologized in additional X posts, writing, 'I LOVE JAY Z AND I DO FEEL BAD.' He also claimed he was hurt by Jay-Z not attending his 2014 wedding to now-ex Kim Kardashian.

Barcelona is once again using its weapon of choice, the super soaker water gun, to drench tourists. The movement is more active and up in arms than ever, although the New York Times makes a joke out of it. 'Will there be water guns? Very likely, at least in Spain. Noting that 'these toys have become a popular symbol of resistance,' organizers have encouraged participants to bring their water guns.' Tourists might not find being attacked so amusing. Admittedly, the hordes of foreigners can provoke long-suffering local people. A crescendo of resentment built up in Venice, as the long-awaited nuptials of Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez finally took place there. All the good yacht parking was taken, and there was no room room at the inn at a 500 year old, $2000 to $10,000 per night Venetian hotel. One activist said, 'We can't miss a chance to disrupt a $10 million wedding.' Nonetheless, the plan to block Bezos and bride from the wedding venue by lining the streets with protestors, or blocking the canals with boats, came to naught. But the resentment is clear. Over-tourism suddenly stopped being an issue from 2020 to 2023, thanks to COVID-19. From spring 2020 to fall 2022, quarantines, airline and border shut downs, and fear of travel kept the streets of hot spots like Barcelona, Ibiza, Majorca, Dubrovnik and Venice empty. Lack of income replace over tourism as a major urban woe. But by 2024 vaccinated, maskless tourists intent on 'revenge travel' had returned in force. In 2019, there were a total of 1.465 billion tourist arrivals worldwide according to Statista. In 2020,that number dropped to just 407.8 million. By 2024, the number had reached 1.465 billion. The Barcelona airport handled a record 55 million passengers in 2024. Although it already serves 200 destinations, there's talk of expansion. Barcelona also has a new cruise port, with 800 ships arriving each year. Most tourists come ashore when the ship docks in the morning, tour the town, and sail off in the afternoon. This makes Barcelona's famous La Ramblas pedestrian area and adjoining areas congested with tourists and low-end tourist shoppes. A union that won the nation's highest minimum wage for Los Angeles hotel and airport employees, hitting $30 an hour by 2028, is now seeking to win the same rate for all employees in the city. The American Hotel and Lodging Association estimates the $30 wage rate will cost 15,000 tourism jobs. Meanwhile, tourists already look askance at a city torn by rioting and devastated by fire. I must say I was treated well at our hotel (Le Meurice), walking the city, or hanging out at the Rodin Museum. On the other hand, I've been to Barcelona a couple of times. I loved it. Instagram Improves Spotify Music Sharing Options in Stories

Instagram's rolling out the ability to actually listen to a preview of a song that you've shared from Spotify in IG Stories, as opposed to just providing a Spotify link, further refining its music engagement elements. So now, when you share a Spotify music sticker within your IG Stories, viewers will be able to listen to it in-stream. Up till now, you've been able to share Spotify music stickers, but that only provided a link back to the Spotify track. The updated sticker now also includes audio, which is a big improvement. Yet, at the same time, functionally, it's not really new, as you've been able to post music in Stories since forever. But you haven't been able to combine Spotify song sharing within Stories in the same way, to it builds on that functionality. Though you have been able to share songs to your Stories via 'Add Yours' music stickers, while you can also now share songs from Spotify to your IG Notes, a feature that Instagram added last month. And now, you can also share what you're listening to on Spotify direct to Stories as well, adding another music engagement option in the app. WhatsApp added the same for its version of Stories, in WhatsApp Status, last month. The option adds another means to counter the rising influence of TikTok, and potentially replace TikTok's presence in this respect, if TikTok ever ends up getting banned in the U.S. TikTok has become a key platform for music promotion, with music publishers now focusing on the app as an essential connector, with some even changing their artists' song names to better align with TikTok trends. But if TikTok goes bye-bye, as a result of the 'Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act,' then all that music engagement will have to go elsewhere, and IG seems to be setting itself up as the best alternative in this respect. Though YouTube is also adding music features to tap into the same opportunity, and with TikTok continuing to get extensions from Trump, it doesn't look like it's going anywhere either way. But still, it's another music engagement option, which will provide more ways for IG users to share their favorite tracks.
