Drake'sOctober's Very Ownis stepping further onto the fairway, linking up withCallaway GolfandVessel Golfon a capsule that infuses on-course essentials with streetwear attitude. The collection spans a Callaway Chrome Tour ball set in a black-and-gold monogram box, anOdysseyAi-ONE #7 mallet, Opus wedges, a logo-heavy towel and glove and a Vessel stand bag. Each item carries OVO's signature owl and cursive script for a distinctly Toronto stamp.
While Callaway and Vessel bring the technical credibility, OVO's creative direction positions the capsule as more of a cultural play than a technical innovation push. Case in hand: the campaign images which featureOVO Nikoleaning fully into the aesthetic with Jordan golf shoes on foot and cigar in hand. It's a reminder that golf's new audience is equally attuned to streetwear cues as they are to more conventional polos and chinos.
And while this isn't Drake's first golf crossover (that distinction belongs to Nocta), it shows OVO's commitment to weaving golf into its lifestyle orbit. The drop is available now viathe brand's online shop.

This $7 Old School Powder Perfects My Skin

For as long as I can remember, I've had an unwavering fascination for vintage aesthetics, be it midcentury furnishings, Old Hollywood films, or old school beauty products that you can still purchase in the modern day. It's no surprise then that, after discovering this one affordable and perfect-in-every-way setting powder several years ago, the Coty Airspun has remained a steadfast staple in my own makeup routine and probably always will. With a formula harkening back to 1935 — but now updated to be talc-free —the Airspun loose powder offers skin a silky soft veil, truly befitting a silver screen starlet of yesteryear. It manages to blur imperfections and enlarged pores, secure cream and liquid foundations in place and absorb any excess oil — all while feeling imperceptible on the skin.A major upside to the Airspun powder, which I've often seen compared to the luxurious (and expensive) likes of the Laura Mercier and the One/Size setting powders, is that it won't settle into fine lines. Even when I dab a light layer of this under my eyes and around the creases of my nose, it almost absorbs into and fuses with my skin, rather than lying on top of it and creating that dreaded cakey layer.I should also point out that, as someone with naturally very dry skin, I tend to steer far from any skin cosmetics that claim to be mattifying. Not only is my skin not compatible with these types of formulas, but I also detest the chalky finish that ultimately exaggerates any flaking or dryness I might have. Though advertised as a product to mattify, this cloud-like powder doesn't dry my skin out to an inch of its life. Rather, it gives it a soft and smoothed-over appearance that subdues any unwanted shine and almost airbrushes the complexion. Other fans of this vintage icon authenticate my Coty Airspun experience. 'I use this to set my foundation, and it doesn't crease, budge, move, or FLINCH all day,' one Amazon reviewer wrote. 'I am 47, with fine lines around my eyes, but everything else is rather oily. I set my foundation in the morning with this powder and literally don't even have to look at the rest of the day. ' Here's how I use it: After I finish applying my liquid foundation and cream products, I dab my trusty BeautyBlender Power Pocket Puff into a small amount of the loose powder shaken out into the lid, then press it into the skin on my T-zone only, specifically on around my nose, chin and center of the forehead. If I'm wearing a pencil or cream eyeliner, I'll even take a fluffy eye shadow brush and buff a very thin layer on top of the applied eyeliner and before my mascara to keep things completely is also one of the most economical cosmetic products in my kit. As I mentioned, I use the powder quite sparingly (you might want to use more if your skin is more oil-prone), so one 1.23 ounce-sized container literally lasts me years, and it only sets me back $7. I would be remiss if I forgot to mention one other component of this retro powder that, for me, adds to its signature nostalgia: the scent. While some may wrinkle their nose and cry 'granny smell!' I can't get enough, and I'm actually saddened when the slightly floral and distinctive powdery smell dissipates after just a few minutes. Imagine your great-grandmother's dressing table adorned with lipsticks and ornate bottles of perfume somehow captured in a fragrance — that's what Coty Airspun smells like. The Coty Airspun's beauty history runs deep, and so does its dedicated fanbase, which turns out to comprise more than just me. Read what other fans of this timeless and lighter-than-air powder have to say or grab yourself a compact from any of the featured retailers. Get it from Amazon for $6.74 (available in three shades and in two-packs).

Anthony Mackie Says an Unreleased Film From the ‘Worst Director to Ever Direct' Almost Cost Him His ‘Hurt Locker' Role: ‘They Offered It To Somebody Else'

Anthony Mackie is opening up about how he almost lost his role in 'The Hurt Locker' because of another director's unreleased film. During a recent episode of Variety's 'Know Their Lines,' Mackie shared the backstory behind being cast in the 2009 Oscar-winner. 'We shot that in 2007, and I remember I was doing a movie in North Carolina with quite possibly the worst director to ever direct. Ironically, because of that the movie never came out.' He continued, 'Because of that, the movie went over and I had to pull out of 'Hurt Locker.' They offered it to somebody else, and he said no because it wasn't enough money.' Despite Mackie being tied up with the other film, the production offered him the role again and was willing to wait until he wrapped the unreleased project. 'I went from this sucky director who had no business in being in the business or in the director's chair to Kathryn Bigelow,' Mackie said. 'The moment I landed in Amman, Jordan, we hit the ground running [with] cultural research, military research, character studies – the real work a director does. It really was poignant to me the type of people I want to work with and the type of people who shouldn't be working.' Mackie's performance in 'The Hurt Locker' was a career-defining role as he played Sergeant J.T. Sanborn, a soldier and member of the fictional bomb disposal unit in Baghdad, Iraq. The film received widespread critical praise for its portrayal of the war in Iraq. At the 82nd Academy Awards in 2010, 'The Hurt Locker' took home six awards from its nine nominations for best motion picture, best achievement in directing, best writing, original screenplay, best achievement in film editing, best achievement in sound mixing and best achievement in sound editing. Sofia Richie Grainge Swears By This $14 Lip Stain for Long-Lasting Color

Known for her minimal makeup hacks—and most recently, her chic take on this summer's French bob—Sofia Richie Grainge is now blessing us with a fresh wave of beauty inspiration. In her latest Vogue Beauty Secrets interview, the influencer dishes on her full routine—from her go-to Vanicream Cleansing Bar to the One/Size On Til Dawn Setting Spray she uses to top off her looks. Alongside splurge-worthy picks from Chanel and Lancôme, the 15-minute tutorial also features plenty of affordable favorites, including a $12 Maybelline mascara and Sacheu's TikTok-viral peel-off lip liner in shade Noohde. Grainge says she was influenced to try the popular K-Beauty lip stain after seeing Billie Eilish wear it on stage. 'I was at her concert, and my thought was: 'How did her lip stay on all night?!' Then when I saw her 'get ready with me' video, I was like purchase, genius, obsessed.' (FYI, Alix Earle and Doja Cat are also fans.) In the tutorial, Grainge uses the doefoot applicator to casually line her lips, then later peels off the deeply tinted film to reveal a natural-looking flush. For a glossy finish, she layers on Merit's Shade Slick Tinted Lip Oil in the sheer brown shade Mapleton. According to Sacheu, the wash of color is designed to last all day—no reapplication needed. It's also formulated with hyaluronic acid and vitamin E to keep lips hydrated. (For the best results, the brand recommends applying on clean, exfoliated lips and letting it set for up to 20 minutes.) In addition to Grainge's go-to nude hue, the lip liner comes in nine other gorgeous shades, including a vibrant red, pink, and deep brown.
