Jon Richardson 'quits comedy' after divorce
According to The Mirror, Jon Richardson shared with fans that he would be becoming a teacher, before later clarifying that he was only playing the role of a teacher on Waterloo Road.
Taking to social media, he said: 'I just thought I'd give you a little update. I don't really do social media updates, and I'll tell you why - because I don't think anyone cares.
"But I have a little bit of news. I've obviously been taking a little bit of a break from stand-up and it's really made me… want to carry on taking a break from stand-up.'
He added: 'I've been thinking a lot about a diary entry that I found from 1997.
'It's this one. I was 14 years old, it says although I would love to be a stand-up comedian, I'll probably end up being a teacher. And I've been thinking a lot about that.'
"I've loved being a comedian, it was absolutely the right choice. But I've decided it would've been nice to try the other option, so that's exactly what I'm gonna do."
The comedian went on to share that he had accepted a teaching job, telling fans: 'I've been doing some training, I've taken a teaching position. I will update you as and when I can. But that's all from me for now, just to let you know where I've been. I'll keep you posted.'

Now, the star has apparently signed up for the Great British Bake Off's next Stand Up To Cancer special.
A source told The Sun: 'Bosses are over the moon that they signed up Jon.
"He is hilarious, so will bring the laughs to the tent, and he's hugely popular with viewers."

The world makes sense when I am working on my art.' Johnny took a year off work amid his health battle before he returned for his debut art exhibition. His new documentary, titled Johnny Vegas: Art, ADHD and Me, will see the star embark on a 'creative endeavour' that ends up being a 'journey of self-discovery'. The documentary delves into 'an honest and heartfelt conversation about mental health and understanding yourself'. Previously speaking about the new show, Johnny revealed he was once a 'dedicated wannabe ceramicist'. He said: 'I used to sit at a potter's wheel on stage. People thought it was a gimmick but I actually started out as a dedicated wannabe ceramicist. 'Art was my educational saviour. Over years of witnessing what felt like an ongoing decline in educational commitment to the very same arts I felt it was time I threw my hat back into the ring. 'To kickstart a debate about culture in general, whilst giving something of a visual a symbol of gratitude back to my honestly beloved town.' Channel 4 boss Shaminder Nahal revealed the documentary had been filmed over years and added: 'This series brings to life the power of art for everyone – how it can soothe, help, energise and inspire. Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a behavioural condition defined by inattentiveness, hyperactivity and impulsiveness. It affects around five per cent of children in the US. Some 3.6 per cent of boys and 0.85 per cent of girls suffer in the UK. Symptoms typically appear at an early age and become more noticeable as a child grows. These can also include: Constant fidgeting Poor concentration Excessive movement or talking Acting without thinking Inability to deal with stress Little or no sense of danger Careless mistakes Mood swings Forgetfulness Difficulty organising tasks Continually starting new tasks before finishing old ones Inability to listen or carry out instructions Most cases are diagnosed between six and 12 years old. Mark Labbett paused Celebs Go Dating filming due to health
Channel 4's dating show sees celebrities try to find love with a new group of famous faces looking for 'the one' in each series. Labbett, known on the quiz show as The Beast, admitted he had been 'single for most of my life', before adding: 'I'm a little bit on the spectrum.' The quizzer has diabetes and it was this that forced him to take a break while filming, reports The Mirror. He said: 'One night, I had a hypoglycaemic attack,' adding: 'I might have been a bit grumpy that night. I apologised to everyone after.' The Beast said a nap on set afterwards helped him out. Also while filming, Labbett was reportedly asked 'to read social cues', the newspaper says. Labbett said: 'I went, 'What do you mean?'' He added: ''You don't notice people's emotions when in the room?,' and I said no. There was shock on both sides.' What is a hypoglycaemic attack? The NHS explains: "Low blood sugar (hypoglycaemia or a hypo) is usually where your blood sugar (glucose) is below 4mmol/L. It needs to be treated quickly to stop it getting worse, but you can usually treat it yourself." Symptoms of hypoglycaemia include feeling hungry, dizzy or anxious, sweating, shaking and more. Katie Price in another pet tragedy as kitten dies after birth
Katie's cat Doris gave birth but one of her kittens didn't make it. Katie Price has opened up on social media about her latest pet tragedy. The sad news comes after the 47-year-old told her fans that her pet sphynx cat was pregnant. Sadly, Katie's cat Doris gave birth to "so many" kittens but one of them passed away. Katie was previously blasted by animal charities for welcoming three of the bald cats to her home in October last year, writes The Mirror. Speaking to her Snapchat followers, the former glamour model explained that she decided to skip a family trip to the Isle of Wight to look after the new kittens. Katie went on to say that she was keeping regular feeding patterns and using electric blankets. However, elsewhere in the cat update, the mum-of-five said she had "sad news" and added four emotional emojis. She explained: "An update on the kittens, one unfortunately died. That's the one wrapped in tissue, two hours after we fed it. "Luckily, I'm trying to help the kittens latch on to the mum; two are just about doing it, but I'm having to put them on it, because they are so premature." She went on: "As you can see how knackered I am, every two and a half hours through the day and through the night I'm feeding them for the mum. "She's a good mum, and then she keeps bringing one to the bed with her; she did that earlier. I think that was a sign to come and look in the box, as one had died." Katie then added that she thinks Doris trusts the family's actions. "So I've got two latching on to her now, so thats the update." After panning the camera around to Doris, Katie is heard cooing: "Hey Doris good girl." Just days earlier, on her podcast, Katie had told her sister Sophie that she was "scared" of what might happen during her pet's pregnancy. She said: "Doris is pregnant, and I don't know how many weeks she is but her belly has gotten bigger and bigger. I've noticed she's been nesting and she keeps wanting to get on me. "I've gone and bought a separate cat litter, another bed, and all of that. I'm going to set it up in my room and leave her in my room because I've got the other cats, and I'm scared that if she goes into labour they might eat the kittens." She later said: "I don't know how many she's going to have but I know the kids want me to keep one. And then I know what I'm like, I can't." Katie had previously been criticised by Peta, with Elisa Allen of the organisation claiming the star has repeatedly ignored advice on pet care.
