New York Giants' Tyrone Tracy Jr. named to 2025 NFL All-Breakout Team
Although the task at hand was an impossible one, Tracy held his own and gave the Giants some light at the end of the tunnel in the post-Barkley era. In the future, they expect the former college wide receiver-turned-running back to be their featured option out of the backfield.
Many in the national media see Tracy as an emerging star. This offseason, he was a frequent guest on podcasts and other football-related programs. He is becoming a name, and that has not gone unnoticed by experts who are predicting big things for him.
In his latest All-Breakout Team for 2025, Bucky Brooks of NFL Media included Tracy on his list.
After rushing for 839 yards as a rookie, the fifth-round running back has an opportunity to surpass the 1,200-yard mark in an offense that features more efficient quarterback play with veteran leader Russell Wilson set to take over from Daniel Jones. The improved passing game will lead to more light boxes (six or fewer defenders) and wider lanes for the former college wide receiver to scoot through on off-tackle runs and designed cut-back plays. With Wilson also expected to target Tracy frequently on swing, screen and option routes in the pass game, the Giants' unheralded RB1 could put up massive scrimmage yard totals as a multi-purpose threat from the backfield
Tracy is a versatile back, and he will get first touches out of a promising group that also boasts veteran Devin Singletary and rookie Cam Skattebo. This issue will be Tracy's usage here. Since he is an excellent receiver, the Giants may opt to use him more on third downs and give the early down touches to the others.

Steelers' replacement for Minkah Fitzpatrick named biggest bust in 2025
The post-Minkah Fitzpatrick era has received its first red flag — as Bleacher Report believes his potential replacement in the Steelers' secondary could be in for a rough 2025. Bleacher Report's Kristopher Knox recently predicted the 2025 biggest busts for all 32 NFL teams — and for the Pittsburgh Steelers, he chose FS Juan Thornhill — the next man up after Fitzpatrick was traded to the Miami Dolphins: "The top candidate to take over Fitzpatrick's role will be free-agent addition Juan Thornhill. He's unlikely, however, to play up to Fitzpatrick's Pro Bowl level," Knox wrote. "The 29-year-old has struggled to stay healthy in recent years and has allowed an opposing passer rating above 100.0 in five straight seasons. Thornhill was drafted by the Chiefs with the 63rd overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, where he would spend the next four years of his career — earning two Super Bowls as Kansas City's starting safety. He signed with the Browns in 2023, but his tenure with Cleveland was a far cry from the success he found with the Chiefs. Over the past two seasons, Thornhill has missed 12 games due to injury — and even when healthy, he struggled in pass defense, leading to his eventual release this offseason. It's not all bad predictions for Thornhill, who signed with the Steelers in March, as one former DB turned analyst argued his leadership and championship-caliber pedigree will work wonders for Pittsburgh in 2025. Steelers fans will get their first glimpse at Thornhill's involvement in the retooled secondary when training camp action kicks off on July 24.
