. Set to release on May 6, 2025, the new season looks promising, with the highlight being the
new legend Sparrow
, being introduced to the game. Furthermore, the developers addressed several major community complaints and drawbacks of the game, including Anti-Cheat, audio, matchmaking, and more. Arenas is making a comeback as the new limited-time game mode, but with a completely different twist.

Ultimate: Stinger Bolt
Shoot a large arrow that will anchor where it lands. After it charges up, it will shock anyone within its range, causing damage and slowing any opponent it hits.
Upgrades: Level 2
Extra Traps: gain an additional Tactical charge and +2 traps in world
Hunt Target: Sparrow gains a speed boost when running towards a marked enemy

Alternate Mode: Ult now has 3 charges that fire fewer pulses in a smaller radius
Life Siphon: Sparrow's health and shields are recovered if enemies are damaged by his Ult

Every player is given the meds they need for the round free of charge, Supply Bins have been removed from the maps
Each weapon can only be purchased once, try new combinations and plan your loadouts accordingly
Rounds 2 and 4 feature discounted weapons to help you experiment with powerful new loadouts
All Legends have a 1 Round cooldown on their Ults, and store economy and Ring have been tuned
Care Packages have been boosted with Armor, select Boost Kits, and a couple surprise weapons
Bot Royale
A difficulty selector will be available to all players shortly after the release of S25, allowing players to test their skills against various levels of Apex Bots. Access and adjust this setting during the match to update the Apex Bots difficulty level.
'Auto' option attempts to adapt the Apex Bots to what is known about your skill and is the default setting at the start of every match
The difficulty selector can only be updated by the squad leader
The difficulty selector can be accessed via the 'Customize Bot Royale' tab in the player's inventory menu OR via the Customize Bot Royale button in the in-game menu
RANKED
Start of Season Placement
The starting Ranked tier and division is now based on your hidden skill value from previous Ranked seasons
If no skill value exists for Ranked, the Unranked Trios skill value is used to set initial placement
The rule that reset any player that skipped a season of Ranked back to Bronze IV has been removed and all initial placements are based on skill value
Ranked Ladders (coming later this split)
When a Ranked Ladder is active, all players in Ranked will compete on a personal skill-based leaderboard for bonus rewards
Your best 10 RP scores during the Ladder will be counted for your leaderboard position, which will determine your final placement and rewards when the Ladder ends. Your lowest score will always be replaced by a higher RP score, so additional matches are beneficial
10 Ranked matches must be completed to be placed on the leaderboard and to qualify for Ladder rewards
All Ranked play continues as normal, allowing promotion and demotion as normal
Ranked Challenges (rolling out over this split)
Reward requirement: all players must now play a minimum number of Ranked matches before they can earn end-of-season Ranked rewards based on their highest tier earned.
Ladder Champion: players who reach champion a minimum number of times in the same split will gain access to the Ladder Champion Dive Trail for a limited time:

Players may not notice the difference since the overall map content has not been changed, but this system improves CPU rendering time, fixes lighting artifacts throughout the map, and allows for much greater texture fidelity through virtual texturing
Xbox One and Playstation 4 have been migrated to the Rendering Hardware Interface (RHI), which is now being used on all platforms. As a result, Xbox One and Playstation 4 leverage the same multithreaded rendering architecture as PC and current-gen consoles.

But the legend balancing changes have to be the most significant part of Season 25 Split 2. In this recently launched mid-season update, Respawn Entertainment has laid emphasis on Wattson, Vantage, Ash. Despite being picked regularly in the competitive scenarios, Wattson wasn't liked by casual players. On the other hand, because of Vantage's sluggish Echo, her pick rate was dipping day by day. And Ash has always been a 'mid-tier' Legend, so her kit needed some changes as well. Besides them, Alter, Ballistic, Conduit, and Mirage got their fair share of buffs and nerfs as well. (Image via Respawn Entertainment) The meta just got shaken (again). Apex Legends Season 25 Split 2 is here, and Respawn has dropped some slick weapon tweaks to keep the gunplay spicy. From subtle buffs to key nerfs, these mid-season changes are all about making sure no one gun dominates the lobby. Here are all the buffs and nerfs to weapons in Season 25 Split 2. All Weapon Buffs and Nerfs in Apex Legends Season 25 Split 2 Here are all the weapon buffs and nerfs in this update. Assault Rifles (ARs) Havoc AR (Previous Hotfix) The energy beast just got even spicier. Recoil improved – Way easier to beam now. Damage increased to 20 (from 19) – That extra point adds up fast , especially with turbo. EVERYTHING NEW in APEX SZN 25 SPLIT 2 (Wattson BUFFS + Ash NERFS & More!) Hemlok Burst AR Trying to make burst guns cool again? Maybe. Reduced burst fire delay – You'll feel the bursts hit quicker, making it smoother in fights. Marksman Weapons 30-30 Repeater This one took a Skullpiercer slap. Uncharged headshot reduced to 80 (was 86) Charged headshot reduced to 120 (was 130) Headshot fans might feel this one. Still deadly, but less punishing now. Bocek Compound Bow (Previous Hotfix) This silent killer just got deadlier. Explosive arrow hit damage increased to 55 (from 40) Increased fire rate – Faster spam if you've got the arrows. Max charge damage upped to 65 (was 55). Shotguns Mastiff No damage buffs, but smoother feels. New ADS firing animation – The weapon now returns to center screen quicker. While it doesn't change the damage, it smoothens the feel of ADS play, especially for close-range duels. SMGs Prowler Burst PDW The burst SMG got a much-needed glow-up. Better horizontal recoil (burst + full-auto) – More stable during both burst and full-auto. Reduced burst fire delay – Tighter follow-ups and higher DPS potential. BEST WEAPONS TO USE IN APEX LEGENDS SEASON 25 | APEX LEGENDS Sniper Rifles Sentinel A small, but impactful buff. Energized rechamber speed increased – Firing feels quicker now when you've juiced it up with a shield battery. Expect more follow-up shots in shorter timeframes. Not a huge update in terms of weapon count, but the changes are impactful if you're someone who actually pays attention to gun behavior (aka not just grabbing R-99 and winging it). Most of these buffs and nerfs are about smoothing things out and keeping guns viable without being broken. Also worth noting: devs have been rolling out small patches across Season 25 so far, so don't be surprised if more tweaks land before Split 3. Captain Jack Sparrow dropped anchor in Madrid not to find treasure but to lift spirits. Johnny Depp brought a wave of pirate magic to Nino Jesús University Children's Hospital in Madrid earlier this week. The actor, dressed head-to-toe as Captain Jack Sparrow, surprised young patients on Monday, June 16. He visited the hospital after taking a break from filming his latest project Day Drinker in Spain. The video of the heartwarming visit was shared by the president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso. It showed Depp in character roaming the hospital's oncology ward. He is seen laughing with children and bringing pure joy to their hospital rooms.
