Lewis Capaldi announces 2025 Australian summer tour dates
After keeping a relatively low profile for the past two years, the Someone You Loved hitmaker is back with a vengeance after a bravura set at the recent Glastonbury Festival.
Keeping the momentum going, Lewis, 28, will return to Australia in December for five headlining dates.
Kicking off his antipodean run with two New Zealand shows, Lewis will begin the Australian run at Brisbane Entertainment Centre on December 4, before hitting Sydney 's Qudos Bank Arena on December 6.
The tour will then roll into Melbourne 's Rod Laver Arena and Adelaide Entertainment Centre on December 12 and 15, before finishing at Perth 's RAC Arena on Wednesday, December 17.

Lewis, who was last in the country for the Falls Festival in 2019, left Aussie fans heartbroken when he was forced to cancel an Australian tour.
To make up for the heartbreak, fans who bought tickets for the 2023 shows will have exclusive access to a past purchaser pre-sale from 11am on Thursday, July 10.
Meanwhile, Secret Sounds pre-sale gets underway from 11am on Friday, July 11, while general on sale is from 12pm on Monday, July 14.
News of Lewis' return to Australian shores was met with much excitement from fans on Instagram.
Commenting on the Live Nation announcement, one wrote: 'The world is healing. We've missed you @lewiscapaldi.'
Others were hopeful that more shows would be added with the likes of: 'One show in Melbourne won't do anything lol all the previous people will get the tickets before anyone else can.'
Back in 2023, Lewis apologised profusely to Aussie fans on Instagram as he announced he would no longer be touring 'for the foreseeable future'.
He was initially slated to play shows in Sydney, Perth, Adelaide and Melbourne, before heading to Byron Bay for Splendour in the Grass.
However, the Scotsman cancelled all shows in Australia due to persistent struggles he was experiencing with his Tourette's symptoms.
'I'm so incredibly sorry to everyone who had planned to come to a show before the end of the year but I need to feel well to perform at the standard you all deserve,' he wrote in a lengthy message.
He added: 'Playing for you every night is all I've ever dreamed of so this has been the most difficult decision of my life. I'll be back as soon as I possibly can.'
The move didn't come as a shock to fans, as the Someone You Loved hitmaker had difficulties completing his 2023 Glastonbury set.
Lewis became emotional during the set as his tics made it difficult to complete songs, prompting fans to sing along in a heartwarming show of support.
He had taken three weeks off before his gig on the Pyramid Stage, but admitted it was not enough as he cancelled the remaining 24 live dates he had scheduled.
'I used to be able to enjoy every second of shows like this and I'd hoped three weeks away would sort me out,' he explained in his message.
'But the truth is I'm still learning to adjust to the impact of my Tourette's, and on Saturday it became obvious that I need to spend much more time getting my mental and physical health in order, so I can keep doing everything I love for a long time to come.
'I know I'm incredibly fortunate to be able to take some time out when others can't and I'd like to thank my amazing family, friends, team, medical professionals and all of you who've been so supportive every step of the way through the good times and even more during this past year when I've needed it more than ever.'
Reflecting on his 2023 Glastonbury performance, Lewis – who has teamed up with BetterHelp, the world's largest online therapy platform, for a new promotional campaign – recently admitted he thought it would be the last of his career.
'I think I probably knew two songs into the set at Glastonbury that I couldn't do it,' he said. 'Glastonbury's obviously a big deal - it's kind of like the biggest deal - and it was the Pyramid Stage, so it was a big old gig.
'Second song in I was like probably like, I can't keep doing this to myself and other people as well. People are coming to gigs, it's not how you want to watch a show. And as far as I was concerned, I was like "I'm done indefinitely."'
The singer-songwriter subsequently announced a hiatus from music while he prioritised his mental health, but looking back he believes he also needed a complete break from the industry as a whole.
'I didn't take a break to just focus on getting better,' he said. 'I took a break because I needed a break, and to sort of release the pressure valve a little bit.'

Kmart sends nostalgic shoppers racing over $29 gadget: 'OMG I need it NOW'
Shoppers are racing to Kmart Australia stores to get their hands on a mini version of a retro item that's made an unexpected comeback. Alongside a resurgent interest in all things Y2K fashion and style, early 2000s inspired digital camera have suddenly become trendy again. This is despite most people already having a digital camera available at their fingertips via their smartphone. Kmart have jumped on board the trend by offering a range of standalone digital cameras. But the latest addition to their range - a cute key-chain sized Mini Digital Camera, priced at only $29 - has quickly earned legions of fans. The mass retailer released a TikTok video this week that showcased the camera being clipped onto a set of keys, emphasising its petite size. But despite its adorable stature, the video also demonstrated that it is a 'real' functioning digital camera with surprisingly good picture quality - and video recording capability to boot. The mass budget retailer's latest social media video is captioned: 'Yes, it's a real camera and yes, we will be bringing it everywhere with us these school holidays'. Within a day of being released, the TikTok video amassed over 400,000 views and 20,000 likes. Kmart fans couldn't contain their excitement about the mini-sized version of the retro item. 'OMG THATS SO CUTE,' exclaimed one shopper. 'I NEED THIS NOW!!!!!!!!!!!' excitedly declared another. 'I bought it when it just landed I love it! Can't stop using it,' another happy customer added. The online product description explains that the camera has a 'compact design and user-friendly features'. It also suggests the tiny device is 'ideal for travel, vlogging or spontaneous everyday snapshots'. The dimensions of the miniature gadget are 4.24cm (L) x 2.92cm (H) - and the screen display size is 2.43cm. The compact camera also comes with a USB charging and data cable, keychain, lanyard and 32GB memory card. It also has an built-in flash for night time photographers, as well as six filter options to jazz up images. But among the hundreds of replies to the recent viral video were confused remarks about 'why' demand for digital camera existed given that most people own smartphones. 'Other than for kids who don't have phones… why? We have camera's with us every day,' questioned one person. To this, a commenter offered a simple one-word explanation: 'Nostalgia'. Another added: 'Digital cameras are making a short comeback with the youth, just like bad fashion.' A third person confirmed that even though we've all 'got cameras in our pockets' they were certain 'plenty' of people are 'going to want' this cute buy. The comments were also filled with questions from curious shoppers about some of the functionality aspects of the camera. In reply to queries about the 'quality' of the pictures taken on the camera, one person confirmed that it 'is actually really good'. Others asked whether the device could capture videos, to which Kmart's own social media account confirmed that the camera had the capability to record videos. However those who haven't previously owned digital cameras were stumped as to how images taken on the camera could later be transferred to a phone or laptop. Some helpful replies explained that the camera's SD memory card could be inserted directly into some laptops to extract the images, or that you could transfer the files via the provided USB data and cable cord. Photos taken on the camera can also be printed out by placing the memory card into a photo printing machine – like the ones found in-store at Kmart. A recent statistic from eBay Australia revealed that searches for digital cameras have surged more than 48 per cent in the past year alone, with iconic 2000s-inspired models particularly in high demand.

Kneecap fans at Glasgow gig rally around trio after TRNSMT axe
The three members of Kneecap arrived at the O2 Academy in Glasgow on Tuesday evening ahead of their gig there, where they were greeted by pro-Palestinian demonstrators waving flags. KNEECAP fans gathered outside the band's gig in Glasgow have spoken of their support for the Irish rap trio despite them being axed from festival slots. Kneecap were axed from the line-up of TRNSMT in the city amid a row over an investigation by counter-terror police into Liam Og O hAnnaidh, who performs as Mo Chara, who is accused of allegedly displaying a flag in support of the proscribed terrorist organisation Hezbollah at a gig in 2024. The rap group have been outspoken critics of the war in Gaza and with censorship of their Glastonbury performance linked to their views on Palestine. READ MORE: Insider lifts lid on workings of Corbyn-Sultana project in Scotland A number of fans and demonstrators spoke to The National outside the venue about their support for Kneecap. One woman from Lanark said: "I'm here for the music, but I'm also here for support. I'm here for Palestine. I'm here for a united Ireland. I'm here for a better future and for free speech." She went on to add: "I'm hoping Glasgow can tell the world tonight that we're unified, that we stand together against hate, and that we stand together against anybody that thinks oppression is acceptable." One couple from Arbroath said they had originally planned to go to TRNSMT just to see the band, but So were "glad" they hadn't "they were just going to go to waste". They added: "Everyone's here for the same reason, there's no one here for a different reason other than the music and their views." A father had brought his teenager daughter to the gig from Airdrie, telling The National Kneecap reminded him of American rappers N.W.A from the 1980s. N.W.A are among the most significant figures of the rap genre, and were considered to be controversial for their explicit lyrics, as well as their consistent accusations of institutional racism within the police. He said: "They all sang about where they grew up and I think it's a lot of similarities between them, they're singing about their life in the streets and things like that. "I'm not very politically minded, but I do understand where they're coming from." TRNSMT cancelled Kneecap's performance at the end of May over safety concerns from Police Scotland. The police force said it has a 'proportionate and considered policing plan' ahead of Kneecap's gig in Glasgow, which replaced their cancelled slot at the TRNSMT festival. As well as Kneecap's sold-out gig, Billie Eilish and Kendrick Lamar are also performing in Glasgow on Tuesday. READ MORE: Ex-Irish taoiseach says he's 'never been so glad' Ireland out of Nato In May, Scotland's First Minister John Swinney called for TRNSMT to cancel the performance on July 11, saying that 'organisers of TRNSMT have got to consider that issue'. O hAnnaidh was charged under the name Liam O'Hanna by the Metropolitan Police in May, over the alleged display of a Hezbollah flag at a gig, and appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court on June 18. The furore led to calls from Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer and Conservative Party leader Kemi Badenoch for Glastonbury to cancel a performance from the Belfast rappers on June 28, which the festival organisers did not do. Ahead of the Glasgow gig, superintendent Paul Douglas of Police Scotland said: 'We are aware of a number of events and concerts due to take place in the Greater Glasgow area in the week beginning Monday July 7. 'A proportionate and considered policing plan is in place within the city and we are working with a number of stakeholders to ensure the safety of all those attending these events and where possible minimise disruption to the people of Glasgow.'
