Punters rave over 'insane' headliners for Aussie music festival Spilt Milk: 'You deserve the biggest kiss'
Organisers of the biggest single-day festival in the country revealed this week it will make a triumphant comeback this year after a 2024 hiatus left music fans heartbroken.
Going one better on Friday, Spilt Milk took to social media to reveal the formidable lineup which boasts two of the biggest rappers in the world as headliners.
Multiple Grammy winner Kendrick Lamar, fresh from his Super Bowl half-time performance will lead the charge alongside fellow US rapper Doechii, across all four festival dates.
Florida-based Doechii is currently riding high off the back of an Australian number one for her track Anxiety.
The announcement comes as Kendrick's rival Drake, who was also recently Down Under, launched legal action against the Like That hitmaker alleging his Super Bowl performance was defamatory.
The impressive lineup will also include the likes of Sarah Landry, Dominic Fike, ScHoolboy Q, d4vd, Nessa Barrett, Sofia Isella, Skin On Skin, sombr, Rebecca Black, The Rions, South Summit, and many more.
Festival fans took to social media to issue their joy over the impressive lineup.
'Oh you deserve the biggest kiss,' one fan offered, while another chimed in with a similar, 'Screaming crying throwing up omgggg.'
Another gushed: 'Okay boo you really outdid yourself with this one, proud,' while another deemed it the best Aussie festival lineup in recent memory.
'This is THE LARGEST Lineup I have seen for an Australian festival in YEAAARSS,' they exclaimed.
'Ya'll really waited a year to take GOAT status like that huh?'
Others were quick to urge organisers to be careful where they place Kendrick and Doechii on the anticipated bill.
'Don't u dare put Kendrick and doechii on at the same time,' one fan directed, to which organisers replied with an assuring, 'They won't be clashing.'

Making the announcement of the festival's return on Thursday, organisers shared a clip which captured Spilt Milk's highlights from previous years and captioned it with some exciting words.
'Spilt Milk summer confirmed. See you in Ballarat, Perth, Canberra and Gold Coast this December,' they began.
'Lineup droppin' crazy soon, sign up in link in bio to get it to your inbox.'
The festival will kick off in Ballarat on December 6, setting the stage for a series of epic performances.
Perth's Claremont Showground will host the festivities on December 7, followed by Canberra on December 13 and the Gold Coast on December 14.
These dates mark a return to some of the festival's favourite destinations, promising to bring music lovers together once again.
Speculation about the lineup is rife, with fans eagerly anticipating the reveal in the coming days.
Past festivals have seen a stellar cast of performers, including Post Malone, FISHER, Khalid, Lorde, Flume and Latto ensuring each year delivers top-tier entertainment.

In 2024, the festival took an unexpected break, leaving many wondering about its future.
In July, it was cancelled in a major blow to Australian music lovers.
It was the latest in a series of festivals to be cancelled as the industry endured a tough year.
The organisers broke the sad news on Instagram.
'Sorry pookies, we couldn't get you the Spilt Milk you deserve this year. Sooo imma dip for a bit and come back when I can make all ur dreams come true. i miss u xx SPILT MILK,' the statement said.
Spilt Milk 2023 was headlined by Post Malone and Dom Dolla.
It was unclear why the festival was called off, however others struggled to sell enough tickets.
Splendour in the Grass, Groovin the Moo and Falls Festival were all cancelled last year, as were Sunshine Coast's Caloundra Music Festival, Victoria's Coastal Jam and Adelaide 's Vintage Vibes Festival.
Fans were upset to see Spilt Milk cancelled, but were relieved by early signs suggesting it would be back next year.
'I think I'd rather see you guys take a year off than drop a lineup people would be disappointed with. Hopefully you'll come back with a bang next year,' one said.

For Women Scotland 'Irresponsible for EIF to promote choking show'
They told The Herald: "The last thing we need is a respected international festival endorsing it." However the International Festival said the work "does not explore violence against women" but rather a "deeply personal reflection on the artist's own experiences of consent and sexuality". The Dan Daw Show is due to be performed across three nights at The Lyceum theatre next month as part of the Edinburgh International Festival and is billed as a fuse of "sexy choreography and touching theatricality" to "take a stand against ableism". The festival's programme says it sees the Australian dancer "turn the spotlight inward, to find his own truth through a subject that holds the power to both challenge and liberate: kink". Content guidance for the show adds: "During some of the physical interaction between Dan and [collaborator] KrisX, KrisX puts a hand around Dan's neck as if choking him. Dan is placed into a latex vacuum cube, that is tight around his neck." Read more Posting online For Women Scotland, the campaign group which successfully took the Scottish Government to court over the legal definition of a woman, said: "It is absolutely disgusting that [EIF] is promoting a 'performance' which features the dangerous practice of 'choking'. "It should NEVER be entertainment! We really think this show should be pulled as a matter of urgency." Speaking to The Herald, the group added: "It is recklessly irresponsible for the Edinburgh Festival to promote dangerous and abusive acts in the name of art. "Organisations tackling violence against women have been warning about choking in particular, and the outcomes which can include brain damage and fatalities. "Sadly, this practice is widespread among younger generations and the last thing we need is a respected international festival endorsing it." Last year Beira's Place, the Edinburgh-based women's protection charity funded by J.K. Rowling, warned sexual choking was "becoming very normalised" among teenagers who increasingly saw it as a routine sexual act. It said a growing number of young women were turning to its counselling services after experiencing unwanted choking during sex. Rape Crisis Scotland similarly warned strangulation was often raised by pupils in consent and pornography workshops in schools. A spokesperson for the International Festival said: "We take the safety of artists and audiences very seriously. The detailed content descriptions for this performance are provided as guidance for those audience members who seek more information in order to make informed decisions, to feel safe and prepared. "This work does not explore violence against women. Instead, it is a deeply personal reflection on the artist's own experiences of consent and sexuality. "We encourage audiences to contact us directly if they would like to discuss the performance further." Dan Daw was approached for a response.
