Development possible only with CBN: MP Vemireddy
The Nellore MP along with Venkatagiri TDP MLA Kurukonda Ramakrishna has visited Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple on the occassion of ongoing Brahmotsavams at Penchalakona and performed special poojas on Monday.
Later speaking to media people, the MP had said that during the 10 months rule of TDP led coalition government, state had witnessed much development with the initiative of Chief Minister coordinating with central government.
The MP said that it was Chandrababu's commitment for the completion of assurances given to the people during 2024 elections. The MP said that all election promises would be completed in a phased manner.
Vemireddy said that he prayed to the Lord Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy to bless the Chief Minister for initiating a capable administration in the interest of people.
Earlier the MP has received warm welcome in a traditional manner by temple authorities Pandits chanting Vedic hymns. Party leaders were also present.

Reaffirming the NDA government's commitment to safeguarding public interest, Andhra Pradesh Energy Minister Gottipati Ravi Kumar has said there is no intention to increase power tariffs in the State. Participating in the door-to-door outreach being conducted as a part of the 'Suparipalanalo Tholi Adugu' programme at Balayapalli in Kadapa district on Sunday, Mr. Ravi Kumar criticised the previous YSRCP government for severely damaging the power sector, burdening it with over ₹1.30 lakh crore debt during its five-year tenure. He said, 'While the TDP government had added 7,000 MW of solar power during 2014-19, the successor YSRCP government failed to generate even a single megawatt during its term.' The Minister further said the coalition government was focused on promoting large-scale green energy projects, particularly in the Rayalaseema region, which offers immense potential. He added that the government would actively bring green energy investments to the area, leading to massive employment opportunities for the youth. He also appealed to the people to take advantage of the Central government schemes such as PM Suryagarh and PM Kusum. Later, he held a review meeting at the camp office of Badvel TDP in-charge Ritesh Reddy. He assessed the progress of Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS) works in the district. Discussions were held on the construction of new substations, agricultural power connections, and distribution of transformers to farmers. Power for farmers Stressing the importance of uninterrupted quality supply, Mr. Ravi Kumar directed the officials to ensure nine-hour daytime electricity for farmers and 24-hour power for households and industries. Mr. Ravi Kumar emphasised that all manifesto promises were being fulfilled, citing examples such as the Deepam scheme, under which three gas cylinders were being given free of cost. He also announced that around ₹10,000 crore was deposited in a single day under Thalliki Vandanam scheme. He said the free bus travel scheme for women would commence from August 15. Similarly, ₹20,000 would be provided to the farmers soon under the Annadata Sukhibhava scheme.

Tensions rise in Andhra's Gudivada as TDP, YSRCP cadres clash
VIJAYAWADA: Tension gripped Gudivada in Krishna district on Saturday as TDP and YSRCP cadres clashed over organising parallel events on the same day. The TDP has been conducting its 'Suparipalanalo Toli Adugu' (First Step in Good Governance) door-to-door campaign in the town for the past few days under the leadership of local MLA Venigandla Ramu. Meanwhile, the YSRCP had scheduled a constituency-level meeting at K Convention in Lingavaram, with party district president and former minister Perni Venkataramaiah (Nani) as the chief guest. Ahead of the event, the YSRCP erected flex banners with slogans like 'Babu Surety – Mosam Guarantee.' In retaliation, the TDP put up posters mocking former minister Kodali Venkateswara Rao (Nani), showing him polishing Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu's shoes, a reference to remarks he made during the 2024 election campaign. The situation escalated further when Perni Nani made controversial comment s against the TDP leadership. While addressing YSRCP workers at Pamarru in Krishna district on Friday, Nani reportedly made controversial comments that drew sharp criticism from TDP leaders. When some party activists shouted 'Rappa Rappa', Nani discouraged them and allegedly said, 'If something needs to be done, let it happen silently in the dark.' In response, TDP and Jana Sena workers tore down YSRCP flexes at Nagavarappadu Junction and staged a protest. They also attempted to obstruct the movement of YSRCP leaders heading to the party meeting. During the unrest, a vehicle belonging to Krishna district ZP chairperson Uppala Harika was damaged.

Andhra CM to meet Amit Shah, Nirmala Sitharaman during two-day Delhi visit
VIJAYAWADA: Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu will visit New Delhi on July 15 and 16 to meet Union Ministers and discuss critical development issues and Central funding for Andhra Pradesh. Naidu will push for pending fund releases, progress on major infrastructure projects including the proposed Polavaram- Banakacherla Link Project, and issues related to the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA). He is scheduled to meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah on July 15, followed by meetings with Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, IT and Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, Jal Shakti Minister CR Patil, Union Labour Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, NITI Aayog member Dr VK Saraswat, and the MD of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation. Later in the evening, he will attend a memorial meeting held in honour of former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao at the Prime Ministers' Museum and Library in Delhi. On July 16, the Chief Minister will continue meetings, including a key session with the Finance Ministry in the North Block and will participate in a business conference hosted by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). He is expected to return to Amaravati on the morning of July 17.
