Tensions rise in Andhra's Gudivada as TDP, YSRCP cadres clash
The TDP has been conducting its 'Suparipalanalo Toli Adugu' (First Step in Good Governance) door-to-door campaign in the town for the past few days under the leadership of local MLA Venigandla Ramu.
Meanwhile, the YSRCP had scheduled a constituency-level meeting at K Convention in Lingavaram, with party district president and former minister Perni Venkataramaiah (Nani) as the chief guest. Ahead of the event, the YSRCP erected flex banners with slogans like 'Babu Surety – Mosam Guarantee.'
In retaliation, the TDP put up posters mocking former minister Kodali Venkateswara Rao (Nani), showing him polishing Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu's shoes, a reference to remarks he made during the 2024 election campaign. The situation escalated further when Perni Nani made controversial comment s against the TDP leadership. While addressing YSRCP workers at Pamarru in Krishna district on Friday, Nani reportedly made controversial comments that drew sharp criticism from TDP leaders.
When some party activists shouted 'Rappa Rappa', Nani discouraged them and allegedly said, 'If something needs to be done, let it happen silently in the dark.' In response, TDP and Jana Sena workers tore down YSRCP flexes at Nagavarappadu Junction and staged a protest. They also attempted to obstruct the movement of YSRCP leaders heading to the party meeting. During the unrest, a vehicle belonging to Krishna district ZP chairperson Uppala Harika was damaged.

Minister Kollu hits back at YSRCP for its divisive tactics
VIJAYAWADA: Mines, Geology, and Excise Minister Kollu Ravindra accused the YSRCP, led by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, of orchestrating violence and conspiracies to destabilise the State and defame the TDP-led coalition government. Speaking to media personnel at the TDP national office in Mangalagiri on Sunday, Kollu lambasted the YSRCP for resorting to divisive tactics to create unrest and obstruct the State's progress. He warned that the public is aware of YSRCP's tactics and predicted the party's political decline, stating, 'From 151, to 11, YSRCP's downfall is evident, and soon it will vanish from Andhra's political landscape.' Regarding the recent incident involving Krishna district ZP chairperson Uppala Harika, Ravindra clarified that her vehicle was released by police, but she returned and verbally abused TDP leaders and law enforcement, provoking a reaction from locals. He accused YSRCP of attempting to falsely pin the blame on the TDP leadership to tarnish their image. 'YSRCP's efforts to create chaos and attribute it to TDP have failed,' Kollu asserted, alleging that Jagan's leadership is fostering lawlessness across Andhra Pradesh. Kollu claimed that during its five-year rule, the YSRCP regime 'ruined' the State, creating an environment of fear that deterred investors.

Expose TDP's betrayals to public, Botcha tells cadre
Vizianagaram: Botcha Satyanarayana, Opposition leader in Legislative Council, launched a strong attack on Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and the coalition government, branding them as 'masters of deception', who failed to fulfill electoral promises. Speaking at the constituency-level meeting held here on Sunday, Botcha blamed that Chandrababu Naidu has repeatedly deceived public by not implementing even a single promise from the party's election manifesto. 'As the main opposition, it is now our responsibility to go to the people and fight to ensure that those promises are fulfilled,' he added. He questioned the government for not implementing 'Super Six' welfare programmes, asking, 'Isn't it cheating the public?' He demanded clarity on the status of promises like free bus travel for women, Rs 15,000 assistance to women, and ₹3,000 unemployment dole. He further criticised both Chandrababu Naidu and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan for issuing sworn affidavits during the elections, only to betray the trust of the public. 'That is why we must take this campaign to the people under the slogan 'Babu Surety – Betrayal Guarantee,'' he said. Botcha urged YSRCP cadre to organise awareness meetings in every village and ward to expose the failures of the coalition government. District YSRCP president Majji Srinivasa Rao said that YSRCP cadre should put untired efforts to fight with TDP and work for the public. He advised them to don't scare of false cases imposing by the TDP leaders.
