Tom's Guide19-05-2025

Waiting for the Nintendo Switch 2's release has been tough. But you can always distract yourself by shopping these deals on some of the best Nintendo Switch games, and fill out your library with awesome titles for less!
Nintendo is offering some massive discounts on Switch games right now. For example, you can grab Immortals Fenyx Rising on sale for $7. This is an awesome game that plays similarly to the super popular Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild, so it's a must play if that game left you hungry for more.
Over at Amazon you can score Nintendo Switch games on sale from $19. Or you can grab deals like Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom on sale for $44 at Woot.
My favorite Nintendo Switch game deals are listed below. Plus, check out our Memorial Day sales coverage.
Get in the groove to a collection of 40 songs in Samba De Amigo Party Central. You need to shake your Joy-Con controllers to the beat to get the best score, whether you're playing alone, with a friend or with up to 20 players online. You can even customize your character with unlockable costumes and accessories.
The sequel to 2017's Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, Sparks of Hope once again reunites the residents of the Mushroom Kingdom with the zany Rabbids. This time the unexpected allies are venturing into the stars for an intergalactic adventure. Offering colorful strategy combat, and plenty of planets to explore, Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope is one of the most overlooked games on Nintendo Switch.
A full remake of the original Super Mario RPG released in 1996 for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES), this role-playing game sees Mario, Bowser, Peach and some new friends embark on an adventure to repair a wish-granting star. With updated graphics, gameplay and new cinematics, Super Mario RPG has never looked (or played) this well, but the original game's charms have been carefully retained as well.
Persona 5 Royal is part turn-based RPG and part high-school simulator. You play as a new student who has recently moved to Tokyo. Soon you discover the ability to transverse a strange alternate reality and form The Phantom Thieves in an effort to fix the corrupt society around you. Just be warned, Persona 5 Royal will consume all your free time once it gets its hooks in.
Take up arms against the forces of evil in Blizzard's action-packed loot-collecting slasher. You and up to three friends can slay your way through both the core game and Reaper of Souls collection as one of 7 different fantasy classes.
If you have fond memories of the classic Yu-Gi-Oh video games, you'll definitely want to pick up this Nintendo Switch game. It features an extensive collection of 14 remade Yu-Gi-Oh games, which is an awesome nostalgia trip for fans. This pack even includes an exclusive Harpie's Feather Duster trading card to add to your deck.
Another classic RPG collection makes a welcome addition to your Nintendo Switch library. With improved visuals, music and art, Suikoden has never looked or played better.
If you're getting through Mario games faster than Nintendo can make them, then this is the game for you. Build your own levels in the style of several different 2D Mario games, share them online and then test out others.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is the highly-anticipated sequel to Breath of the Wild, and it doesn't disappoint. Step back into the world of Hyrule, and embark on Link's most perilous quest to date. You'll need to master new abilities such as Ultrahand and Fuse in order to unravel the mystery of what happened to Princess Zelda and defeat the sinister Ganondorf.
This side-scrolling adventure is a wonderfully refreshing spin on the classic Mario formula. Venturing to the Flower Kingdom, you'll discover stage-altering Wonder Flowers which can warp levels, create new platforming challenges and even turn Mario into an elephant. Playable in up to four-player co-op, Super Mario Bros. Wonder is a platforming marvel for the entire family and one of the very best Nintendo Switch games you can play now.
If you can't get enough of farming sims, Fae Farm should be the next game on your list. Featuring super-cute visuals and solid farming gameplay, this is a great title for those who want to relax. You can also decorate, tend to animals and hunt for rare items in the mines.

Lauren Sánchez Touches Down in Venice for Star-studded Wedding With Jeff Bezos Wearing Vintage Alexander McQueen

Lauren Sánchez and her fiancé, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, have arrived in Venice, Italy, on Wednesday, ahead of their three-day wedding event. For their first appearance in the city, Sánchez wore a vintage Alexander McQueen dress from the brand's spring 2003 collection. Sánchez donned a black one-shoulder evening gown by McQueen with a fitted, floor-length silhouette. The dress featured diagonal white beaded stripes that create a dynamic pattern across the entire garment. Originally, the dress had a mermaid-style cut that hugged the body and flared out at the bottom into a train. The former TV news anchor has a penchant for McQueen. She notably wore a white McQueen bustier top to Donald Trump's second presidential inauguration on Jan. 20, paired with a suit. Bezos' fiancée has been working with celebrity stylist Molly Dickson for the past year. Dickson dressed her in a white Oscar de la Renta gown for the 2025 Vanity Fair Oscars party in March. Sánchez and Bezos are celebrating their wedding with a lavish, multiday event in Venice, Italy, drawing global attention and a star-studded guest list. Leonardo DiCaprio, Kim Kardashian, Oprah Winfrey, Eva Longoria, Katy Perry and Ivanka Trump are among the expected attendees of the event. Bezos' and Sanchez's wedding in Venice continues the city's custom of hosting extravagant ceremonies and is planned to wrap up on Saturday, culminating in a final evening celebration at the Arsenale. Bezos' and Sánchez's relationship began in 2016 when they met through Sánchez's then-husband, Patrick Whitesell, but their romance became public in January 2019 after both announced separations from their spouses. Over the years, they have maintained a close and affectionate partnership, often seen together and sharing a strong bond marked by mutual support and shared interests, including aviation and philanthropy. They got engaged in May 2023 after nearly five years together. Peter Thomas Roth Teams With Prime Video to Launch ‘The Summer I Turned Pretty' Eye Patches

Peter Thomas Roth has partnered with Prime Video to launch a limited-edition version of its 24K Gold and Cucumber De-Tox Hydra-Gel Eye Patches inspired by the fan-favorite drama series, 'The Summer I Turned Pretty.' This collaboration comes just a few weeks before the third and final season of the show, which sees a teenage girl named Belly grapple with the consequences of being in love with two brothers (Jeremiah and Conrad), premieres on the streaming service. 'This project has been in development for almost a year. The author and showrunner of 'The Summer I Turned Pretty' picked a few of her favorite brands sold on Amazon, and my skin care line happened to be one of them,' he said. As part of the partnership, customers will be able to purchase the cult-favorite hydrating under-eye agents in travel-sized containers with a packaging design inspired by the romance-steeped series set on the fictional Cousins Beach in Massachusetts. 'They're the perfect addition to your beach bag or tote,' Roth continued. 'We worked very closely with the Amazon teams to incorporate the show's amazing intellectual property into our own branding. The goal was to match the energy of the show and create summer-ready versions of my Hydra-Gel Eye Patches, travel-sized for all your adventures.' While it hasn't played out on screen, Roth's vision of the show's characters using this specific product before a party or a date night, and the morning after, is at the crux of this collaboration. Online, Roth's ardent customers have raved about the brand's eye patches, wearing them beyond the confines of their bedroom. Videos show fans wearing the cooling pads in the airport, the nail salon and on the sidewalk. 'They're also fabulous for soothing and cooling the delicate eye area,' Roth explained. Roth debuted his skin care line in 1993, trailblazing the clinical side of the beauty industry. The idea sprang from his own experience with clogged pores and acne, which left Roth struggling to soothe his skin for years. For a while, Roth's products were only sold in high-end spas and salons, but by 1998, the business had reached just under $15 million in retail value from the distribution of products under major outlets such as Bloomingdale's, Sephora and Nordstrom. A decade after his product line debut and just four years after it was ushered into department stores, Roth ventured into the fragrance sector of beauty with the release of a scent called 'It.' At the time, Roth told WWD: 'I always wanted to do a fragrance and have been dabbling in it for about 20 years.' In addition to the Peter Thomas Roth eye patches, 'The Summer I Turned Pretty' author Jenny Han tapped drugstore beauty brand Kiss to debut specialized press-on nails and lash clusters in celebration of the season premiere. 'The Summer I Turned Pretty' will return to Prime Video with new episodes on July 16. Squid Game creator reveals he wants to create a spin off

The final season of Squid Game just dropped and we have mixed emotions. While we're buzzing to be reunited with Seong Gi-hun as he fights for survival in the ever-deadlier games, we're also gutted that this is going to be the last series. Or is it? This comes as the show's creator, Hwang Dong-hyuk, reveals that he has an idea for a spin-off in mind. And, that he knows exactly what it's going to be about. Plus, with Squid Game being one of Netflix's most popular shows of all time, who's to say that his vision won't be turned into reality? In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, the showrunner revealed that his "faint ideation" involved a spinoff "about the three-year gap between season 1 and season 2 when Gi-hun looks around for the recruiters." Dong-hyuk continued: "There is that three-year period, and maybe I could have a portrayal of what the recruiters or Captain Park [Oh Dal-su] or officers or masked men were doing in that period, not inside the gaming arena, but their life outside of that. So that is some vague ideation that I have that could possibly be developed in the future." While this all sounds amazing (petition for Netflix to pick this up immediately), the creator also confirmed in the same interview that season 3 of Squid Game really is going to be the end. He also said that it'll be obvious that the show has come to a close. ICYMI, the latest - and last - series sees Gi-hun on a mission to end the games completely. Dong-hyuk expands: "Season 3 is indeed a finale, and you'll be able to feel that once you watch." But the hope that we're clinging on to? "I'm not trying to say that I'm going to close the door to spinoffs or sequels altogether because they say never say never," he concludes. Squid Game season 3 is now streaming on Netflix.
