Two teens rushed from TRNSMT festival to hospitals in Glasgow
TWO teenagers were rushed to hospital after taking ill at TRNSMT festival.
Emergency crews raced to Glasgow Green yesterday following concerns for the welfare of the boys, aged 16 and 17.
They were rushed to hospital, but it is unclear what led to them becoming unwell.
One was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, while another was raced to Glasgow Royal Infirmary.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: 'A 16-year-old male youth was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and a 17-year-old male youth was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary after becoming unwell at a festival in Glasgow.
'Enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.'
TRNSMT revellers basked in the sunshine for a second day as Scotland's summer heatwave reached fever pitch yesterday.
Scotland's biggest ever music weekender has coincided with soaring temperatures across most of Scotland.
The wall-to-wall sunshine, with temperatures hitting high 20s and low 30s, led to some music fans struggling to cope in the heat.
They turned out in their thousands to give a raft of top acts including headliners Biffy Clyro, Fontaines D.C, The Kooks and Inhaler the warmest of welcomes last night.
Many fans have already hailed the weekend a success after two days, despite a hiccup when security guards were found to have confiscated some fans' suncream at the site entrance due to a policy regarding bottle sizes and aerosols.
After criticism from parents, the rule was rescinded.
Media and communications graduate Claire Monaghan, 21, from Balloch, was among those giving Saturday's music bill the thumbs up.
She said: 'I've been going to TRNSMT since I was 14. Obviously, it's local so it's good and the Scottish community feeling of everyone being united. Also, the line up is so good. They've managed to hit it out of the park. I love Fontaines D.C. I'd much rather this than be poured on in the rain.'
Guy Dudman, 16, from Dunfermline, went taps-aff with his pals on arrival.
Schoolboy Guy said: 'This is my first festival. I'm looking forward to Fontaines. They're my favourite. It is definitely tops off weather.
'I've got the sunscreen on and I think it's amazing with it being warm and everyone out enjoying the sun. It's brilliant.'
Emma Scott, and Emily Gillespie, both 18, from Dunfermline, enjoyed a spot of sunbathing between sets.
Emma said: 'This is our last year in school. I'm off to do a graduate apprenticeship and we're on our holidays. This is our first time together. I love it. The sun is amazing. I'm going to get a nice tan.'
Emily added: 'I want to see Fontaines and Inhaler and we are mostly going to be at the Boogie bar and definitely the main stage.'
Fine art student Alisa Campbell, 21, arrived on a day trip from Belfast, with pals Alanna McGann, 20, and Claudia Black, 20.
Other acts performing yesterday include Miles Kane who stepped in for Wunderhorse after the group cancelled at the 11th hour due to illness.
Underworld will close the King Tut's stage before Biffy Clyro round up the second day of the festival.

'I've worked with Lorraine for three decades this is what she's like off-screen'
Dr Hilary Jones has worked with Lorraine Kelly on ITV for over 35 years, and has shared what the Scottish presenter is really like behind the scenes after they both released books ITV's Dr Hilary Jones has opened up about his long-standing colleague Lorraine Kelly, sharing insights into their 35-year working relationship and the Scottish presenter's character. The health expert, who is celebrating the release of his third novel Under Darkening Skies, spoke candidly about their mutual appreciation for each other's written work and gave a glimpse into what it's like to work with Lorraine off-air. In an exclusive conversation with he disclosed: "Oh, she's lovely. Lorraine - people often say, 'What is Lorraine really like?' and I say she's exactly as she comes across. "She's engaging, she's interested in people, she's genuine, and she's great fun. I've worked with her for over 35 years, and she's written her books as well, so we've read each other's books." Park and Ride options for Oasis at Murrayfield as hotly-anticipated gigs near
Getting to the gig will be busy, but there are a few Park and Ride options available. Oasis' Murrayfield gigs are just a couple of weeks away, so it's high time fans started planning how to get there. With over 67,000 revellers attending each of the brothers' three gigs in Edinburgh, which are taking place on August 8, 9 and 12, it's safe to say that traffic will be BUSY. And what's more, the Scottish capital will already be overrun with crowds due to Edinburgh's Fringe Festival, which coincides with the three Oasis tour dates. We've outlined how to get to the gig by public transport and what road closures fans can expect, along with which items are allowed or prohibited from the venue. But another way of getting to the stadium to consider is making use of Edinburgh's many Park and Ride services. Those brave enough to tackle the traffic may wish to opt for a Park and Ride service over driving the whole way to the gig to save themselves from the worst of the jams. Here's everything you need to know about getting to the gig via Park and Ride. Park and Ride options to get to Murrayfield Stadium Citylink is offering several special bus services from various cities, including some Park and Ride spots. Halbeath Park and Ride and Kinross Park and Ride will see these extra Citylink services that will deliver you straight to Murrayfield's doorstop. But because these are special additional services, Citylink has warned that NEC cards such as the Young Scot Card or Over 60s concession card will not be valid on these particular buses. Ingliston Park and Ride is a great option for those taking the M8 from Glasgow or elsewhere in the central belt, due to its proximity to the motorway. The Edinburgh tram can take fans straight to Murrayfield from there in under 20 minutes, or the Airport Express bus also goes through Ingliston and stops outside the stadium. Also just off the M8, Hermiston Park and Ride is another option, from where you can hop a number 25 bus to Restalrig. If you get off on Gorgie Park Road, you're a mere 13 minute walk from Murrayfield, according to Google Maps. Other Park and Ride facilities in Edinburgh include Straiton and Newcraighall, but these both involve longer and more complicated bus routes to get to Murrayfield. Of all the available options, Ingliston or a specialist Citylink Park and Ride service are the quickest and most convenient, but beware to give yourself plenty of time to get to and from the gig as things are guaranteed to be extremely busy. With so many fans expected to descend on Murrayfield, and with Edinburgh already seeing thousands of holidaymakers and crowds for Fringe, planning out your journey to and home from Oasis is vital to avoid frustrating delays and traffic.
