WWE SummerSlam 2025 Night 1 Preview, Start Time And Streaming Info

Forbes7 hours ago
WWE SummerSlam 2025, Night 1, advertised three title matches and three high-stakes tag team matches. It seems that WWE is trying to incorporate as many Superstars on SummerSlam as possible, because despite sticking to its five-to-six match formula, the multiple tag team matches means more bodies on the Premium Live Event.

Tiffany Stratton Vs. Jade Cargill
Tiffany Stratton vs Jade Cargill is a battle of promising WWE stars who are better off as babyfaces. Cargill has adapted to her role as a babyface since her return at Elimination Chamber, and is now one win away from winning her first world title in the promotion.
Tiffany Stratton got her biggest career win at WrestleMania 41 over Charlotte Flair, in a heated grudge match, and SummerSlam feels like the end of the road. 'Smart' (read: Internet Wrestling) fans will be out in full force in New York, so it'll be interesting to see where their loyalties lie as Stratton is very popular with that group.
Randy Orton and Jelly Roll vs. Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre
WWE has done a great job building up this celebrity tag team match, and Jelly Roll has been a natural as a humble, likable babyface looking to give Logan Paul his comeuppance. Orton defeated McIntyre in a singles match with Jelly Roll and Paul, respectively, at ringside. Jelly Roll has taken his wrestling training far more seriously than Travis Scott, and is a lock to overdeliver come SummerSlam.
The Judgment Day vs. Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss
Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair have blossomed as frenemies on SmackDown. Their unofficial battlecry is 'We're Not Friends.' Bliss and Charlotte were reportedly scheduled to face off in singles action at SummerSlam, but after catching on with fans, they're now in their second Tag Team Title match in the last two PLEs.
Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss are just getting started as a babyface tag team as well as a successful rehabilitation project for Charlotte.
Roman Reigns and Jey Uso vs. Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker
Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker absolutely destroyed Roman Reigns and Jey Uso on Raw. Both up-and-coming Paul Heyman guys go into SummerSlam with as much heat as they've ever had, not to mention Roman Reigns' Jordans. In Reigns' return match after just having been laid out by two rising stars, it's impossible for me to believe Reigns and Uso won't get their get-back at SummerSlam.
Sami Zayn vs. Karrion Kross
The rise of Karrion Kross continues with Kross receiving his first singles match at SummerSlam. Last month, at WWE Night of Champions, marked Kross' first singles PLE match since 2022. Karrion Kross, playing the role of Brian Pillman, is in a stipulation match against Zayn, where if Kross wins Sami must utter the words 'Kross told the truth.' I expect this to be a chant throughout the match with a pro-Karrion crowd filled with smart fans. Even as a sizable underdog, Kross defeating Sami Zayn would be a feel-good moment at one of WWE's biggest shows.
Gunther vs. CM Punk
CM Punk is pursuing his second world championship within a month, and this match could go either way. Gunther shockingly defeated Jey Uso to regain the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Gunther successfully defended his world title last month, retiring Goldberg, while Punk is coming off a Gauntlet win after coming up short to Cena.
Seth Rollins will likely be waiting in the wings to cash in his Money in the Bank contract after a dubious knee injury, which suggests CM Punk will be the world champion if and when that happens.

This Is What Kyla Pratt's Daughter Looks Like Now, And It'll Make You Think You're Seeing Double

This is the phenomenal Kyla Pratt, and she's a mommy. No, she's a mom. She has a daughter, a human child, and she's seriously a spitting image of her parents. Related: Kyla and her longtime boyfriend, tattoo artist Danny Kirkpatrick, have been together since 2008, and share two daughters, Liyah, born in 2013, and Lyric, born in 2010. Before her adventures in motherhood, Kyla had the late '90s/early 2000s on lock, reprising her role in sequels to 1998's Dr. Doolittle, starring in One on One, and voicing Penny Proud in The Proud Family. ©Paramount Television/Courtesy Everett Collection, 20th Century Fox Film Corp. All rights reserved. / Courtesy Everett Collection Kyla's currently reprising her role as Penny in the revival series, The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder on Disney+. But, even with those most impressive acting credits, Kyla's most groundbreaking role is co-starring in her daughter Lyric's TikTok because why do they look so alike, and why do I feel ancient now? Related: Back in 2023, Kyla and Lyric made their TikTok debut together for the first time, and everyone was stunned by their identical appearance. Now, Lyric has posted new videos with her mom, and people are even more flabbergasted at how much they look like each other. In a TikTok shared on Aug. 1, Lyric and Kyla were joined by internet personality and actor Charles Brockman III to recreate an iconic moment from the very first episode of The Proud Family, "Bring It On." In the video, Lyric looks just like her mama, and she's mastered her mother's iconic sassy neck rolls and hilarious face expressions. @lyric_k_ / Via Related: People are rightfully losing it over the similarities. One person even joked that Lyric "literally looks like Penny" from The Proud Family. Related: Another said that she "could play penny proud in a live action" version of the animated series. And like most millennials who grew up with Kyla, this person said, "this just healed something in me," and I get it. Lyric really looks JUST LIKE her mother!
