Entering the 2025 NFL season, the Cleveland Browns are going through a major quarterback competition. While there are four players competing for playing time, Shedeur Sanders has become the talk of the team.
While he may not begin the season as the starting quarterback for the Browns, many believe that he will end it in that role.
Sanders was an electrifying player throughout his college career. He was projected by most to be a first or second round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Seeing him slide to the fifth round was one of the biggest surprises in NFL Draft history.

To that end, he has been a great teammate so far in Cleveland. He has learned as much as he possibly can and is competing hard for playing time.
With that being said, a new projection would see Sanders end his NFL career as a Hall of Famer.
DraftKings took to social media to share their career projections for Sanders. What they have put forward is nothing short of jaw-dropping.
They believe that Sanders will throw for 62,804 yards and 454 touchdowns throughout his career, completing 68.7 percent of his passes and winning 144 games. In addition, they have him winning a Super Bowl, an MVP, making it to seven Pro Bowls, and becoming a Hall of Famer.
As for which teams they think he'll play for throughout his career, he's projected to play for the Browns from 2025-34, the New Orleans Saints from 2035-37, and the Las Vegas Raiders from 2038-39.

Clearly, they are buying all of the hype when it comes to Sanders. There would be no better way for him to fire back at all of the critics, haters, and teams that passed on him in the draft than by going on to have this kind of career.
Making these kinds of projections for a quarterback who hasn't played a snap in the NFL is also wild. It's fun to think about, but these are over the moon expectations for the young signal caller.
It will be interesting to see how Sanders looks during preseason action. He has the talent to become a special NFL quarterback, but now it's up to him to prove that he actually has what it takes on the field.

Candace Parker did it her way and the Sparks retire the 2-time MVP's jersey

Associated Press LOS ANGELES (AP) — If Candace Parker could put music to her jersey retirement ceremony, it would be 'I Did It My Way,' the Jay-Z remix of Frank Sinatra's hit. Parker's No. 3 Los Angeles Sparks jersey was raised to the rafters of Arena before Sunday's game against the Chicago Sky. After being the No. 1 pick in the 2006 WNBA draft out of Tennessee, Parker had a standout 16-year career, winning championships with three teams — the Sparks, her hometown Sky and Las Vegas. She was MVP of the WNBA Finals for LA in 2016. The 39-year-old Parker is the third Sparks player to have her jersey retired, joining Hall of Famer Lisa Leslie (No. 9) and Penny Toler (No. 11). The five-time All-Star has always had big dreams. 'I mean, what's possible,' Parker said. 'I represent coming from a family that told me I could do and be anything. I'm really proud of that kid. I think I'd do things exactly the same way because it's why I'm sitting here. I made mistakes and took two steps forward and one back, but I was always moving forward.' Parker, who wore an orange outfit as an ode to her college days, walked onto the court during the first timeout and got a standing ovation. Fans were given yellow jerseys that read 'That's our Ace' with the number 3 incorporated into the design. This was the first of two jersey retirement ceremonies for Parker. Chicago will retire her jersey later this summer. 'When I got drafted out here, it's become home,' Parker said. 'I've lived here longer than anywhere else. It's super important to see this jersey in the rafters before any others because my 13 years here were super special. It was ups, downs, wins, losses, heartaches and rewards but it's super special to share that with my teammates and coaches with an organization that bet on me with the first pick in the 2008 WNBA draft. That was a long time ago.' Parker was a two-time WNBA MVP with the Sparks, in 2008 and 2013. She's the franchise's career assists leader with 1,331 and is second in rebounds and points. She averaged 16.9 points, 8.6 rebounds and 3.9 assists along with 1.6 blocks and 1.3 steals. During her second season, Parker gave birth to a daughter. She returned to practice weeks later, and Lailaa Williams, now 16, was a welcome addition at practices and games throughout Parker's years in LA. 'Candace Parker's impact on the WNBA is immeasurable. From the moment she stepped onto the court as a rookie, winning both MVP and Rookie of the Year in the same season, she has continually redefined greatness,' WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelberg said. 'Beyond her accolades, Candace has been a leader, a mentor, and a trailblazer — inspiring the next generation of athletes with her skill, resilience, and passion for the game. She has used her platform to elevate women's sports, leaving a lasting legacy that transcends the court.' Parker, who also has two young sons, has worked has a broadcaster and author since her playing career ended in 2023. Her book, 'The Can-Do Mindset: How to Cultivate Resilience, Follow Your Heart, and Fight for Your Passions,' was published this month. ___ AP WNBA:

Pickens' Drama in Dallas gets first episode out of the way before training camp

When the Dallas Cowboys first acquired George Pickens from the Pittsburgh Steelers, many decried the move as desperate and a controversy waiting to happen. Pickens had a well-earned reputation for a certain degree of drama over the years. Incidents in college impacted his draft stock and incidents in the NFL reaffirmed those concerns, ultimately contributing to his trade. Playing in the bright lights of Dallas has a way of magnifying things, both good and bad. Many felt it would only be a matter of time before some sort of controversy arose with the Cowboys' newest weapon. As fortune would have it, skeptics didn't have to wait long for validation. Pickens allegedly backed out of a previous commitment catching the ire of organizers of a Pittsburgh area youth camp. TruEdge Sports didn't mince words when they released a scathing statement about Pickens. They said his actions display a 'disappointing lack of accountability' that 'shows a disregard for the families and children who were excited to meet him.' They've since backed off such statements after clarifying their communication was filtered through his representation and not with the receiver himself. Clarification was good but, in some ways, it was too little too late for daily news cycle. The headlines had been printed, and the damage had been done. Anyone looking for controversy had found it, and the first bit of Pickens drama was officially in the books. Drama is far from foreign for Cowboys fans. Boisterous personalities like Dez Bryant and Terrell Owens regularly drew headlines for reasons other than catching the football. Distractions come with the territory 'round these parts, so it's safe to say as long as Pickens is getting along with his teammates and producing on the field, there's no reason to sound the alarm. The change in culture from Pittsburgh to Dallas is rather significant. Things like this may be cause for concern up in the Steel City but down in Big D they're old hat. If Pickens hasn't noticed, it's production on the field that matters on the Cowboys. It's why many fans have grown so irrationally frustrated with Dak Prescott's lack of success in the postseason and why after 30 years of struggles it's still somehow 'Super Bowl or bust' in Cowboys fan circles. It takes a lot to rock the boat in Dallas. Fans here are accustomed to drama and controversies; all they seem to care about is producing on the field and postseason success. If Pickens can provide that on the Cowboys, he'll notice patience runs extremely deep. Shedeur Sanders Projected to Make Colorado History in Mock NFL Career

Shedeur Sanders Projected to Make Colorado History in Mock NFL Career originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Shedeur Sanders has yet to take a real NFL snap, but there are already projections on how his career in the league will end. While DraftKings typically sticks to sports betting, they took a shot at Sanders' future. A few takeaways from the graphic would put him in the conversation as the best Colorado player in NFL history. All of the firsts for a former Buffaloes quarterback, but NFL MVP would be an untouchable honor. DraftKings also predicts he'll be part of the 2046 class to be inducted in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. If this happens, he'll likely be the second player in CU history to receive football's highest honor. Advertisement Cliff Branch will forever be known as the first former Colorado player to be enshrined in Canton. The three-time Super Bowl winner with the Los Angeles Raiders left his mark on the game. He still holds the record for longest touchdown from scrimmage in NFL history and put the league on notice with his 'Speed Kills' mentality. The receiver from Houston, Texas compiled a 14-year career in the NFL, including wins in Super Bowl XI, Super Bowl XV and Super Bowl XVIII for the Raiders. A four-time pro bowler, who led the league in receiving in 1974 with 1,092 yards (18.2 Avg.) and 13 touchdowns. Unfortunately, Branch went into the hall posthumously after passing away at the age of 71. There was a time when Raiders owner Al Davis was viewed as a thorn in the NFL's side. Branch believed he was subject to scrutiny by Hall of Fame voters because of the relationship between Davis and the league. Advertisement "I think it's a political thing because a lot of the players are blocked from being in the hall of fame with the Raiders because of Al Davis, Branch told SB Nation's Ralphie Report in 2016. "(He) was the most hated owner because of his lawsuit against the NFL and he won lawsuits against the league. The sportswriters have always had hatred towards Mr. Davis because of his pioneer way and being very successful. You think of all the people that went into the hall of fame and all the times Al Davis presented players from not only the Raiders. I think there's a lot held against Mr. Davis because of his players." Related: Shedeur Sanders retirement being 'forced' by Deion, says Denver reporter Sanders is one of six players to have his jersey number retired by Colorado, including his teammate and Heisman winner, Travis Hunter. If Shedeur can pull off a legendary career in the NFL, there's a chance he'll join Branch to represent CU Football in Canton.
