The Traitors Finale: After weeks of drama, strategy, and surprises, the finale of The Traitors aired on Thursday, July 3, and it had a shocking twist. Uorfi Javed and Nikita Luther were declared the winners of Season 1, walking away with the trophy and the prize money.
The show, famous for its mind games and betrayals, ended with both Uorfi and Nikita, who turned out to be 'innocent' players, cleverly outsmarting the 'traitors,' Harsh Gujral and Purav Jha. Even though Purav was seen as one of the most trustworthy and steady contestants throughout the season, he was voted out during the final round table.
How much prize money did Uorfi Javed and Nikita Luther win on The Traitors?
In the last episode of The Traitors , Uorfi and Nikita voted out fellow innocent Sudhanshu Pandey, as well as traitors Harsh Gujral and Purav Jha. The prize amount of Rs 70 lakhs was given to the winners, so it was split between Uorfi and Nikita, Rs 35 lakh each. Who all were the contestants in the first season of The Traitors?
The Traitors show began with 20 celebrities from across Bollywood, television, and social media, all gathered in a grand palace. Among the participants were Maheep Kapoor, Anshula Kapoor, Raj Kundra, Ashish Vidyarthi, Karan Kundrra, Lakshmi Manchu, Apoorva Makhija, Raftaar, Mukesh Chhabra, Sudhanshu Pandey, Sufi Motiwala, Sahil Salathia, Jannat Zubair, Elnaaz Nourozi, Harsh Gujral, Janvi Gaur, Uorfi, Nikita, and Purav. The twist? Three of them were secretly chosen as 'traitors' by the show's host, Karan Johar.
The rest had to figure out who the traitors were through daily challenges and heated roundtable discussions, where they voted out suspected players. In the end, it was Uorfi and Nikita who cracked the game, exposing the last remaining traitor, Harsh Gujral, in a gripping final episode. The two walked away not only with the cash prize but also with major respect for their strategic gameplay.
Meanwhile, seeing the success of The Traitors, the makers had earlier planned to renew the show for a second season. Recently, Prime Video announced that it has greenlit a second season of The Traitors, following the breakout success of the Indian adaptation of the BAFTA and Emmy Award-winning global format.
Season 2 is currently being developed.

Red alert is issued by Mandi DC today as well. Awaiting authorities' approval on the same, will be there soonest possible. Thanks," the post read. Earlier on Friday, several houses were damaged and vehicles were washed away due to the cloudbursts and heavy rainfall in the state over the last 24 hours. A local whose house has been damaged following a cloudburst said, "Everything got washed away after a cloudburst. We are staying at our relatives' house." At least 37 people have died and Rs 400 crore worth of property was damaged as torrential rains disrupted life across Himachal Pradesh, according to the state Disaster Management Authority. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a rain alert for the state until July 7. According to the Himachal Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority and the Revenue Department, the state has suffered damages amounting to more than Rs 400 crore due to incessant monsoon rains. Search, rescue, and relief operations are underway, particularly in the worst-hit Mandi district, where several roads remain blocked and essential services are disrupted. "We have recorded over Rs 400 crore in losses so far, as entered in our system. But the actual damage is likely to be much higher," said DC Rana, Special Secretary of the State Disaster Management Authority and the Revenue Department, while speaking to the media on Wednesday. "Our primary focus at the moment is on search, rescue, and restoration. Detailed damage assessment will take time," he added. The worst-affected area remains Thunag subdivision of Mandi, where major restoration efforts are in progress.

India's most expensive film made at ₹835 cr, VFX & music by Oscar winners; not Kalki 2898 AD, Brahmastra, Adipurush

The budgets of Indian films are steadily rising, now rivalling those of major Hollywood productions. In fact, it's become quite common for Indian movies to cross the ₹ 100 crore mark. Taking this trend to new heights, one film has emerged as the most expensive ever made in Indian cinema, with a whopping budget of ₹ 835 crore, surpassing even big-ticket films like Kalki 2898 AD, Brahmastra, and Adipurush. The most expensive film in India is Nitesh Tiwari's magnum opus Ramayana Part 1. Ramayana is a two-part epic mythological film. It stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman. Sunny Deol will be seen as Hanuman. Lara Dutta, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Vivek Oberoi, Arun Govil are also a part of the film's ensemble cast. Kunal Kapoor, Arun Govil, Sheeba Chadha, and Indira Krishnan are also a part of the film. According to a report by Bollywood Hungama last year, Ramayana is being built on a budget of $100 million (around ₹ 835 crore). The film is still under production. With its over ₹ 800 crore budget, it has outpaced the production costs of big-budget films, including Kalki 2898 AD ( ₹ 600 crore), RRR and Adipurush ( ₹ 550 crore each). Brahmastra Part One which previously held the record as Bollywood's most expensive film at ₹ 375 crore, stands nowhere close to Ramayana's budget. Ramayana Part 1 is backed by Namit Malhotra, owner of the global media giant Prime Focus. He is also the CEO of DNEG, the acclaimed British-Indian VFX powerhouse known for its cutting-edge visual effects, which has of eight Academy Awards for Best Visual Effects. Ramayana's VFX work is helmed by DNEG. Besides this, Ramayana also marks the first collaboration between AR Rahman and Hans Zimmer. Hans, the two-time Oscar award winner for Best Original Score, is best known for films like The Lion King (1994), Dune (2021) and Christopher Nolan's Interstellar (2014). On Thursday, the first look of Ramayana was unveiled by the makers. The film is scheduled to be released on Diwali 2026. It will be followed by part 2.

Sardaar Ji 3 Global Box Office Collection: Diljit Dosanjh's Film Earns Rs 33.60 Crore In A Week Amid India Ban

Diljit Dosanjh's Sardaar Ji 3 hit the cinema screens worldwide on June 27. Despite skipping a theatrical release in India due to backlash over the casting of Pakistani actor Hania Aamir, the film has made a significant impact globally. The horror comedy minted Rs 33.60 crore overseas in just one week. Team Diljit Dosanjh shared the news in an Instagram post on Friday. " SARDAAR JI 3 Record Breaking OVERSEAS." The text on the poster read, "MASSIVE GLOBAL TURNOUT. ONE WEEK—33.60+ CR* (GROSS) SARDAARJI 3. NOW IN CINEMAS." View this post on Instagram A post shared by TEAM DOSANJH (@teamdiljitglobal) While Sardaar Ji 3 didn't release in India, it is being screened in Pakistani theatres and if videos on social media are to be believed, it's receiving a rave response. It is directed by Amar Hundal and produced by Gunbir Singh Sidhu, Manmord Sidhu, and Diljit Dosanjh. Punjabi singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh was embroiled in a controversy after it was revealed that he is sharing screen space with Pakistani actor Hania Aamir in Sardaar Ji 3. The makers only released the movie in international territories amid the diplomatic and military tensions between India and Pakistan following the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22, 2025. Reacting to the controversy in an interview with BBC Asian Network, Diljit Dosanjh had said, "When this film was made, everything was fine. We shot it in February and things were okay back then. After that, a lot of big things happened that were beyond our control. So the producers decided that the film obviously won't be released in India now, so they'll release it overseas. The producers have invested a lot of money, and when the film was being made, nothing like this was happening." He added, "They know there will be a loss because you're removing an entire territory. Even when I signed the film, everything was fine. Now the situation is not in our hands. So if the producers want to release it abroad, I support them." While Diljit Dosanjh has been facing backlash on social media and elsewhere, celebrities such as his Amar Singh Chamkila director Imtiaz Ali, veteran writer Javed Akhtar, and singer Jasbir Jassi have backed him amid the controversy.
