Maya Jama's dating history including Drake DM while she was still with Stormzy
Maya Jama has had everyone talking amid her rumoured new relationship with football star Rúben Dias. The Love Island host is certainly not short of options, but it appears the Manchester City star has taken her eye.
It's undoubtedly set to be a blow to her former flame, Stormzy, with the rapper being a big Man United supporter. Maya, 30, hasn't had the smoothest ride when it comes to love, despite being the face for it on the ITV reality show.
In fresh snaps as reported by the Mirror, Maya was seen enjoying a dinner date with Rúben and one of her pals at Sa Capella in Ibiza earlier this year as they brought in 2025.
Although neither shared images of one another on social media, they were spotted in a blurry picture. The pair sparked romance rumours when they followed one another on Instagram, having met at the MTV EMAs held at the Co-op Live Arena.
But Stormzy wasn't the first chart-topping sensation to earn a spot in her love life. Whilst not everyone will be aware, Passionfruit singer Drake in fact slid into her DMs. Let's take a closer look...
Drake
Rumours first sparked that Maya and Drake had been dating following his track In Only You dropping, which features her name. In the hit, he raps: "Chubbs might jam this yute for a chain / And give it to a sweet one, called that Maya Jama."
According to reports, Drake allegedly reached out in a private message to the TV presenter whilst she was still in a relationship with Stormzy, however she ignored the DM.
Drake is believed to have had a "soft spot" for her and started following her on Instagram in 2018, though she did not follow him back.
When she was single, Maya still wasn't interested, with a source saying at the time: "Maya wasn't going to entertain any form of contact".
Stormzy
Maya and Stormzy's relationship began in 2014 spanned five years, until 2019. Reflecting on her relationship with the grime star, she said that they had been "just little babies" when they had started dating. "We were so young when we met, just beginning our careers," she said. "I was starting at MTV. He'd not even released a single at that point. We were just little babies.
"I don't think either of us knew it was going to be such a big thing. We were just: we're young and in love and we're going to go for it and work really hard. We're just together. We never really did red carpets. We didn't do any of that stuff."
They had been hailed as one of showbiz' greatest power couples before their shock split in 2019, before briefly rekindling their romance, and calling it off again earlier this year.
As Stormzy's music career was just taking off in 2015, the couple took the next step in their relationship as they moved in together in a swanky London property.
Stormzy even penned a song named 'Birthday Girl' for Maya, and she appeared in his music video for his chart-topping hit, Big For Your Boots in 2017. Marriage at one point was said to be on the cards for the couple, telling the Sunday Mirror in 2018: "I'm still so young but I want to propose, it's going to happen and I will do it right. She is so sick, she is the best."
However, the pair announced that they had separated in August 2019, after which rumours about Stormzy's fidelity began circulating. In an interview on Charlamagne tha God's YouTube channel in January 2020, Stormzy asked directly if he had been unfaithful to Maya, accusations which he denied.
Stormzy responded: "Do you know what? I actually didn't cheat. I swear to God, I didn't cheat. "So we had broken up and I was out publicly being a rapper, being very inconsiderate to the fact that I've just come out of the most public relationship.
"We'd broken up and I went out and I acted disrespectfully. I was just out in clubs. I knew the world still thought I was in a relationship and I was out looking like I didn't give a f**k. It didn't need to be cheating for it to be a disrespect," he added.
Leonardo DiCaprio
The TV host was also rumoured to be dating Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio.
Maya was spotted on holiday wearing a gold 'Leo' necklace, adding fuel to the fire that she is seeing the Hollywood actor - but Maya has said the rumour needs to "stop", calling the stories "silly".
She was linked to the 48-year-old as a source insisted that he sent her flowers after mutual friends introduced them.
This was followed by rumours that the pair had been on dates together.
This forced the presenter to shut down the rumours once and for all and she quote tweeted an article about her necklace.
She said: "I've been minding my business on holiday & said I wouldn't respond/pay attention to any of the silly stories anymore but you need to stop now, that is literally my star sign.

Ashley Tisdale fans can't figure out what she has done to her face during rare sighting in Malibu
Ashley Tisdale fans could not figure out why she looked so different in recent photos as they took to X to discuss her metamorphosis. The images were taken while the High School Musical actress stepped out in Malibu on Monday. The 40-year-old actress was makeup-free with her hair down as she dressed casually in a black T-shirt paired with oversize, blue jean overalls. 'She might just look different because she gave the glam team the day off,' wrote one fan as another chimed in, 'Day off from the paint.' Others thought maybe she had just gotten lip filler: 'Bigger lips, went to doc,' remarked a fan. Several came to her defense adding, 'She looks great with no makeup on, good for her, a natural beauty' and 'Leave her alone, she is perfect.' Ashley Tisdale fans could not figure out why she looked so different in recent photos as they took to X to discuss her metamorphosis. The images were taken while the High School Musical actress stepped out in Malibu on Monday This comes after the mother-of-two — who shares daughters Jupiter Iris, four, and Emerson Clover, 10 months, with her husband Christopher French — made a surprising revelation about her beliefs surrounding aging a few months ago. In late April, she shared a TikTok video of herself with an age filter on her face to make herself appear older. Alongside the video, she explained that she used to think she'd look a lot older at age 40 than how she looks now. 'Almost 40 and still feeling 25,' she wrote in the caption of the clip. Over the video, she said herself with and without the filter represented 'how I thought I'd look at 40 versus how I actually look.' Many fans were left in disbelief as they shared their reactions in the comments. The general consensus was shock that she is 40 as many assumed she was much younger. Earlier this year, Tisdale also revealed why she was drawing back her social media presence and becoming more private with her personal life compared to the past. This comes shortly after the High School Musical alum left her fans in disbelief over her appearance when she made a surprising revelation when she put a filter over herself in a TikTok video In a since-deleted Instagram Story from February, the former Disney star said she felt the need to separate her private life from social media because of her young children. The High School Musical star also blamed digital spaces for being dominated by and cultivating 'judgment' and 'assumptions.' 'As the world is getting loud, I find myself wanting to share less and less,' she shared. 'Maybe it's because I don't feel I can contribute in my positive way when everything feels so negative.' The mother-of-two — who shares daughters Jupiter, three, and Emerson, five months, with husband Christopher French — said her decision was prompted by attempts 'to protect my peace while navigating life with work and kids.' 'I've been loving putting my phone down and being in the moment,' the Disney Channel alum added. 'Social media is such a blessing when you want to connect with everyone but can also be so noisy when used with judgment and assumptions,' she finished the lengthy note.

Dame Laura Kenny opens up on 'hugely important' issue with one year to go until Glasgow hosts Commonwealth Games
The 33-year-old gave birth to her third child and first daughter, Lily, in early May and has since returned to work and public events, including an appearance alongside husband Jason at the Wimbledon Championships earlier this month. Dame Laura Kenny is speaking out on the highs and lows of post-pregnancy body image after a difficult first public appearance at Wimbledon. The 33-year-old gave birth to her third child and first daughter, Lily, in early May and has since returned to work and public events, including an appearance alongside husband Jason at the Wimbledon Championships earlier this month. Kenny admitted that it wasn't all sunshine and roses in the lead-up to the event, struggling to find a dress that she felt comfortable in so soon after giving birth, which would also allow her to feed her daughter during the day. Posting to her 221k followers on Instagram, the five-time Olympic champion opened up about the mental and emotional toll being a mother to a newborn can have on you and was overwhelmed to see such an incredible response from others in a similar position. "I find it hugely important to post about this stuff, especially from a women's point of view," she said. "We actually looked at the digital response and there were 1.5 million views and 86% were female on that post alone. "That's why it's so important, and that's why I posted it, because I want every other mum that's sitting at home to know how I was feeling. "You see a nice happy photo of us at Wimbledon, but that wasn't the backstory. The backstory was me actually quite upset, trying to find an outfit because I felt like I didn't look like me, and I'm having to put myself in the limelight, and find a dress that will let me feed my child. "Yes, going to Wimbledon is a choice, but it is also something that I wanted to do, and I shouldn't have to give that up." Kenny retired from her career in the velodrome in March 2024 and has since stepped into a new role as President of Commonwealth Games England. It is a role she took on at seven months pregnant and one that she has taken in stride, having already attended her first board meeting less than 12 weeks after giving birth. And even though Lily might admittedly be the easiest of her three children when it comes to sleeping, Kenny knows that returning to work so quickly is hardly the norm for most mothers. She also noted that it is something she enjoys, having always embraced chaos in the workplace. "Some people think it's a bit mental coming back so soon," she said. "I mean, I filmed a podcast when she was just two days old, and it didn't even occur to me that it was kind of mental. "Our line of work is a bit random, and it is a bit all over the place, and so it's always been like that. "I trained with Albie, and he just travelled the world with us so for me, I've actually never known any different and so I'm just enjoying it again. "I'm not going to say it's not difficult, but I like the mayhem and absolute carnage." Kenny's new role is quickly heating up, with today marking one year to go until the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games. It is a milestone that the former track cyclist knows well from her time as an athlete, believing that it was a key moment for athletes to nail down their targets. "From an athlete's point of view, you can think that the Games are coming around really fast, and it can almost seem a little bit scary," she said. "But I think it feels scary, and it feels daunting because it means so much to you. I think it brings a whole host of emotion. "I always felt like a year to go was really achievable. I could set a target by that point." But from her new stead as President, Kenny admitted that she is relishing the new behind-the-scenes aspect that she has access to. From board meetings about accommodation to talking through athlete selection processes, Kenny has a whole new world of insight into what happens to make a Commonwealth Games come to life. And with the clock ticking down until the opening day of competition on 23 July 2026 in Glasgow, she is more than ready to get stuck in. "I'm so excited," she said. "The reason I took the role in the first place was because I felt like I wanted to give back to the athletes and because Team England have played a huge part in my career. "So, the bit that I'm obviously most excited about is actually talking to the athletes and getting involved and that will only ramp up from now."
