Maya Jama's dating history including Drake DM while she was still with Stormzy

Maya Jama and Drake had been rumoured to be dating, with the chart-topping star said to have slid into her DMs whilst she was dating rapper Stormzy. Maya Jama has had everyone talking amid her rumoured new relationship with football star Rúben Dias. The Love Island host is certainly not short of options, but it appears the Manchester City star has taken her eye. It's undoubtedly set to be a blow to her former flame, Stormzy, with the rapper being a big Man United supporter. Maya, 30, hasn't had the smoothest ride when it comes to love, despite being the face for it on the ITV reality show. ‌ In fresh snaps as reported by the Mirror, Maya was seen enjoying a dinner date with Rúben and one of her pals at Sa Capella in Ibiza earlier this year as they brought in 2025. ‌ Although neither shared images of one another on social media, they were spotted in a blurry picture. The pair sparked romance rumours when they followed one another on Instagram, having met at the MTV EMAs held at the Co-op Live Arena. But Stormzy wasn't the first chart-topping sensation to earn a spot in her love life. Whilst not everyone will be aware, Passionfruit singer Drake in fact slid into her DMs. Let's take a closer look... Drake Rumours first sparked that Maya and Drake had been dating following his track In Only You dropping, which features her name. In the hit, he raps: "Chubbs might jam this yute for a chain / And give it to a sweet one, called that Maya Jama." According to reports, Drake allegedly reached out in a private message to the TV presenter whilst she was still in a relationship with Stormzy, however she ignored the DM. Drake is believed to have had a "soft spot" for her and started following her on Instagram in 2018, though she did not follow him back. ‌ When she was single, Maya still wasn't interested, with a source saying at the time: "Maya wasn't going to entertain any form of contact". Stormzy Maya and Stormzy's relationship began in 2014 spanned five years, until 2019. Reflecting on her relationship with the grime star, she said that they had been "just little babies" when they had started dating. "We were so young when we met, just beginning our careers," she said. "I was starting at MTV. He'd not even released a single at that point. We were just little babies. ‌ "I don't think either of us knew it was going to be such a big thing. We were just: we're young and in love and we're going to go for it and work really hard. We're just together. We never really did red carpets. We didn't do any of that stuff." They had been hailed as one of showbiz' greatest power couples before their shock split in 2019, before briefly rekindling their romance, and calling it off again earlier this year. ‌ As Stormzy's music career was just taking off in 2015, the couple took the next step in their relationship as they moved in together in a swanky London property. Stormzy even penned a song named 'Birthday Girl' for Maya, and she appeared in his music video for his chart-topping hit, Big For Your Boots in 2017. Marriage at one point was said to be on the cards for the couple, telling the Sunday Mirror in 2018: "I'm still so young but I want to propose, it's going to happen and I will do it right. She is so sick, she is the best." However, the pair announced that they had separated in August 2019, after which rumours about Stormzy's fidelity began circulating. In an interview on Charlamagne tha God's YouTube channel in January 2020, Stormzy asked directly if he had been unfaithful to Maya, accusations which he denied. ‌ Stormzy responded: "Do you know what? I actually didn't cheat. I swear to God, I didn't cheat. "So we had broken up and I was out publicly being a rapper, being very inconsiderate to the fact that I've just come out of the most public relationship. "We'd broken up and I went out and I acted disrespectfully. I was just out in clubs. I knew the world still thought I was in a relationship and I was out looking like I didn't give a f**k. It didn't need to be cheating for it to be a disrespect," he added. ‌ Leonardo DiCaprio The TV host was also rumoured to be dating Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio. Maya was spotted on holiday wearing a gold 'Leo' necklace, adding fuel to the fire that she is seeing the Hollywood actor - but Maya has said the rumour needs to "stop", calling the stories "silly". She was linked to the 48-year-old as a source insisted that he sent her flowers after mutual friends introduced them. ‌ This was followed by rumours that the pair had been on dates together. This forced the presenter to shut down the rumours once and for all and she quote tweeted an article about her necklace. She said: "I've been minding my business on holiday & said I wouldn't respond/pay attention to any of the silly stories anymore but you need to stop now, that is literally my star sign.

Yung Miami was discussing Lizzo's weight loss on a podcast. Then things got awkward

Don't talk about Lizzo behind her back. Period. Yung Miami found that out the hard way while appearing on the 'Club Shay Shay' podcast with Shannon Sharpe last week. The City Girls rapper and former NFL player were discussing how women often bend to societal pressures and try to look perfect. Yung Miami used the 'Birthday Girl' singer — who recently lost about 50 pounds reportedly through diet and exercise — as an example. 'Everybody was like, 'Oh my God, she's so fat.' She look so good now. Now it's like, 'Oh my God, eww,'' the Opa-Locka native born Caresha Brownlee said. 'Like, pick a side. What do you want?' Boom. The next thing you know Lizzo phoned in to the livestream. The mildly tense encounter was captured by The Shade Room and posted to Instagram. 'What is the eww?' asked Lizzo (real name Melissa Jefferson). 'I have to know!' The 305 singer immediately clarified, saying that she was actually defending Lizzo and bashing her critics, not disparaging her new body. 'Before, like, your weight loss, people used to be like, Oh my God, she needs to lose weight, she's too thick,' Yung Miami began to explain, slightly stammering. 'That's what i was pertaining to.' 'Oh got you,' Lizzo responded. 'Actually, I thought you were saying I got too little.' Sean Combs' ex continued her defense. 'It's damned if you do, damned if you don't,' YM said. 'Everybody say you look good, but then you'll have the little 5 percent that's like, 'She looked better when she was fat'....You can't make nobody happy. They always got something to say when it comes to women's bodies. Why? I don't know.' And with that, the conversation ended. Most commenters on the TSR post agreed that Yung Miami meant no disrespect and that Lizzo was being a little oversensitive. 'There truly was nothing to clarify. She was not hating at all.' 'She wasn't coming for you. Was literally on your side, but OK!' 'Read the room, Lizzo. She wasn't being mean or malicious at all. She was being nice and complimentary.'
