20 chefs use 4,000 eggs to create record breaking 121 metre-long cake

Using 4,000 eggs and a truckload of sugar and cream, pastry chefs in France made a 121.8-metre-long strawberry cake. They claim it is the longest strawberry cake ever made.
Moroccan pastry chef Youssef El Gatou led a team of 20 chefs to make the masterpiece. It weighed 1.2 metric tonnes and took one week to complete. It was set out on tables in an ice rink in the Parisian town of Argenteuil.
This cake is longer than a 100.48-metre-long strawberry cake made in 2019 in Italy. El Gatou's cake used 350kg of strawberries, 150kg of sugar and 415kg of cream.
The cake had to be at least 8cm wide and 8cm tall to beat the world record. The team used blowtorches to heat a bowl used to mix the cream, said the chef's wife, Nadia El Gatou.
Answer: 100.48 metres

Exercise is a good stress release and I enjoy the therapeutic benefits of being in nature The most conversation-sparking object in your home? We have black On The List bags everywhere in the house and in the back of the car. We use them for everything. When the kids were younger, they could fit in them but now they're a bit too big. When we go for dinner, we use them to bring a bottle of wine or Champagne for the host. Diego Dultzin Lacoste and his golf bag. Photo: Jocelyn Tam A scent that immediately brings you joy? The smell of freshly cut grass. I used to play a lot of golf. As a 15-, 16- and 17-year-old, I went to Scotland, Wales and Ireland to compete and that smell reminds me of arriving at a tournament at a.m. and feeling both pressure and excitement. It brings back good memories. Your favourite city and the first thing you do there? My dad is Mexican and my mother is French. I grew up in both Mexico City and Paris and have good memories of both places. The first thing I do in both cities is eat with friends – in Mexico I go for tacos and in Paris it's oysters. An item you never travel without? Family. We did a lot of business trips before the kids were born and now, when we have the opportunity, we travel with them. If I'm travelling alone, I've always got my AirPods and listen to podcasts about luxury, retail and entrepreneurship. I especially like a French one called Génération Do It Yourself with long interviews with people in sports, the arts and entrepreneurs. Diego Dultzin Lacoste's Devialet sound system. It's fun.
