Lorraine Kelly has embarked on filming a travel series for Channel 4 while her ITV morning show, Lorraine, faces cutbacks in the wake of budget trimming across ITV daytime schedules, it's been reported.
Despite being a staple on ITV since 1984 and sharing the screen with Eamonn Holmes on GMTV, Lorraine took flight to Norway last month for a covert new project, as revealed by The Sun.
A source disclosed: "Channel 4 were delighted to have Lorraine on board. It was exciting for Lorraine to do something different and be on location again."
Elaborating further, they added: "Despite the apparent slight in the ITV daytime shake up, Lorraine's loyal fanbase isn't to be underestimated and they will follow her wherever she goes. She's survived in this business a long time and she's a master at rolling with the punches," reports the Express.

Edinburgh Live has approached Channel 4 for comment.
The well-known presenter, aged 65, is navigating changes at ITV after the Head of Lorraine role was reportedly eliminated, leading to her producers now answering directly to the This Morning bosses.
The insider noted: "This latest shake-up and slimming-down of Lorraine's dedicated team casts further doubt on the long-term future of the show after her contract finishes next year. She's opening her eyes up to the many options available to her."
An insider from the Lorraine show expressed their dismay: "The team's been left reeling by the changes. They're at a loss to understand why ITV would want to disassemble a programme that's consistently delivered high ratings. It's truly a shame."
Last month, Lorraine, a frequent guest on Channel 4's comedy panel show The Last Leg, shared her enthusiasm for exploring new horizons.

During a conversation with chef Tom Kerridge on the Proper Tasty podcast, she mentioned: "Forty years in TV last year was incredible. I got a Bafta. 'Here's a Bafta for being alive'.
"I thought, 'Hang on a minute, I'm not done yet'. I think now I can be a lot cheekier. I've always been a bit naughty. Not so much in the morning but if I do a wee show on Channel 4, or The Last Leg, or something like that, you can be unleashed. I quite like that."
ITV stated: "We have always said that from January 2026, Lorraine, This Morning and Loose Women will be three editorially distinct shows which will be produced by one team.
"These changes are not about the performance of the shows or the staff. We can assure our viewers that their favourite daytime shows will remain familiar to them on screen."
Lorraine airs on ITV weekdays at 9am and on ITVX.

Axed TV host Jay Blades was weeks away from starring on new reality series before domestic violence arrest

TV HOST Jay Blades was weeks from starring on a daring new reality TV series when blindsided bosses axed him over his domestic violence arrest. The Repair Shop presenter, 55, was preparing to star in ITV's Shark! Celebrity Infested Waters, which starts tonight. 1 But the show was thrown into chaos after allegations of controlling and coercive behaviour against his wife Lisa Zbozen, which he denies. A TV insider told The Sun: 'Attracting a popular BBC star to be in the new ITV series was a big win for bosses. 'But as soon as Jay Blades was arrested in March 2024, they knew they had to make a quick decision about the future of the show. 'He was given the boot. 'Producers got lucky as they hadn't started filming or doing any promotion yet so were able to replace him with someone else. 'There were travel plans in place for the cast taking part in the show so it caused a lot of upset and disruption behind the scenes.' Blades is accused of causing Lisa, 43, to fear violence would be used against her on at least two occasions. The trial begins on August 26.

James Martin reveals extra precautions to protect himself after London attack

James Martin has revealed the extreme lengths he has taken to protect himself after thieves smashed up his car in broad daylight. The ITV chef recently declared that 'London is broken' after the windscreen of his car was smashed in. In a post on Instagram, the 52-year-old shared a photo of his car with the caption: 'So in a week two of my friends cars got stolen. 'One other mate got mugged and now I had this happen all in broad daylight all in central London. London is broken big time.' Now, however, Martin has taken a step further by sharing a picture of his dogs, a Belgian Malinois, in a 'working dog' harness. Alongside the image, he captioned the post by simply saying: 'London.' After sharing what had happened on his miserable morning, fans rallied round the star, sharing kind words on the post. Joanne Lokwiya wrote, 'So sorry this has happened to you. The whole of the UK is the same, the laws need to change and we need more police on the streets'. 'This is so sad, what once was an incredible capital city is now a centre for crime, ' added Sarah O'Sullivan. Catherine Evans, meanwhile, said, 'This is so sad, what once was an incredible capital city is now a centre for crime'. This comes after the TV personality revealed his secret health battle that is making his ITV role 'really difficult'. The 52-year-old said he finds it easier to cook and chat with the guests on his shows than do any formal hosting because he has 'severe' dyslexia. As a result, the language processing disorder makes it hard for him to read an autocue. Appearing on Kaye Adams' BBC Radio Scotland show, he praised her work and said: 'I'm watching you do your thing while I'm listening to music play and you're like a conductor. More Trending 'I can't do what you do and I certainly can't when I've been on Loose Women with you as well.' He complimented: 'I certainly admire anyone who's able to do that.' As well as presenting his cooking show, the 52-year-old has presented James Martin's Great British Adventure, Islands to Highlands and James Martin's French Adventure. Love Island fans hit out at Harry's behaviour amid dramatic villa shake-up

Unsurprisingly, Love Island's Movie Night caused quite the stir in the villa, with the big screen's revelations causing Helena Ford to confront Harry once again - leaving viewers fuming Love Island fans were left raging after Sunday night's episode, after one contestant's "manipulative" behaviour got too much to take. Harry Cooksley, 30, had rubbed viewers up the wrong way with his popcorn-eating, leaving them feeling ill. The ITV show's ever-dramatic Movie Night left islanders reeling after they saw clips of incriminating conversations projected on the big screen for all to see. But it was Harry who left them all fuming, with his partner on the show, Helena Ford, confronting him about his actions. ‌ She told him: "I'm getting fed up with this 'I only do it to Helena because she lets me get away with it'... you're making me look stupid again! Literally every person that comes into the Villa says, 'you let Harry walk all over you.'" ‌ Despite previously breaking up and recoupling, Harry went on to deny intentionally upsetting Helena. But Sunday night's episode saw viewers take issue with the way he continued to eat leftover popcorn while she was trying to speak to him. Shakira, who was speaking with Toni, said that watching him eat was making her feel sick. Fans agreed, taking to social media to share their thoughts. ‌ One wrote: "There's no way I'm trying to have a serious conversation with a man and he's answering with a mouthful of popcorn not even looking at omg." Another commented: "Oh my days, Shakira is so right, Harry is making me feel sick too cause WHY IS HE EATING LIKE THAT IS HE FIVE?" A third fan echoed: "I hate the way Harry ate his popcorn during that conversation with Helena; he doesn't take anything seriously." Someone else typed: "I would have f****** thrown that popcorn over Harry if he was eating like that when I was trying to have a serious conversation with him." ‌ Even Maya Jama had something to say after Harry had been up to his old tricks in Casa Amor. Shortly after she was reunited with Harry, Helena was introduced to dumped islander Rheo Parnell, who had grown close to Harry in Casa Amor. Rheo said: "I don't think I need to explain what he may have been up to over there. Harry strikes again!" Helena asked: "How bad are we talking?" Rheo replied: "Well, I mean there were kisses in bed. There was like ... cuddles." Amid discussion about his latest antics, Harry said that he had been "exploring the connection" whilst in the other villa. Andrada Pop added: "I did ask Harry did he miss Helena and he said he didn't." Helena reacted: "To be fair, I think I did say I didn't miss Harry on the first day either." Helena and Harry were then seen laughing together over the situation. ‌ Rheo said: "Fair enough." Love Island host Maya then shared her thoughts, saying: "I don't know. I probably wouldn't find it that funny if I was in a couple with someone like that but..." Jamie Rhodes said: "Yeah, I can't lie, this is like repeated behaviour. Like you gotta wake up at some point." After confirming he was talking to Helena, he added: "Personally, I think you deserve more respect." Maya - who also confronted Ben Holbrough in the episode over a comment that he made in another scene - said: "Helena, you laugh quite a lot when he's been doing things. Is that to avoid upset or are you genuinely not bothered?"
