Twenty five contestants — five each from Europe, Africa, Asia and Oceania, and the Americas and Caribbean — showcased their eloquence, commitment, and vision for social change during the prestigious event.
To a question on 'Promoting Telangana to the World,' Miss Turkey highlighted the state as a hub of technology and medical innovation.
'It is a vibrant state of progress, prioritizing women's rights, safety, and education. Telangana sends a powerful message to the world —of empowerment, innovation, and gender equality,' she said.
Miss Wales remarked, 'This is my second visit, and what stands out most is the warmth of the people. I will invite my country to experience Telangana's rich culture firsthand.' 'Telangana's people are true to their culture. I received many gifts and stories that reflect their authenticity. 'Beauty with a Purpose' is not just a cause– Telangana embodies that spirit,' said Miss Zambia.

The Miss World 2025 pageant kicked off with a grand ceremony in Hyderabad on May 10 and will continue until May 31.
Leveraging the event, the Telangana government has devised an elaborate action plan to showcase the state as a hub of tourism and investment.
As part of this vision, the contestants toured major attractions across the state, including the iconic Charminar here, UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ramappa Temple in Mulugu district, famous Narasimha temple in Yadagirigutta and a 700-year-old Banyan tree in neighbouring Mahabubnagar district. Air India pilot collapses moments before flying Delhi-bound plane in Bengaluru, airline says ‘in hospital but stable'
An Air India Delhi-bound flight was delayed in the early hours of July 4 after the pilot collapsed shortly before take-off and was rushed to the hospital in Bengaluru, an Air India spokesperson said. Flight AI2414 from Bengaluru to Delhi was delayed and operated by another member of the airlines cockpit crew, the spokesperson said. The pilot is stable but is still under observation in the hospital, the spokesperson added. 'There was a medical emergency involving one of our pilots in the early hours of 04 July. As a result, the pilot was unable to operate the flight AI2414 from Bengaluru to Delhi, that he was rostered for, and was taken to a local hospital immediately,' the spokesperson said. A PTI report quoting sources said that the pilot was in the cockpit and was about to sign the mandatory documents – tech log – to accept the aircraft for flying when he collapsed there. 'He is currently stable but continues to be under the supervision of doctors at the same hospital. Consequently, AI2414 was delayed and operated by another member of our cockpit crew. Our immediate priority is to assist the pilot and his family to ensure his speedy recovery,' the statement added. Air India cancelled its New Delhi to Washington DC flight on Wednesday after a technical issue during a routine stopover in Vienna led to extended maintenance work, an airline spokesperson said. According to an ANI report, the onward Vienna-Washington segment was cancelled, and all passengers were disembarked in Vienna. The disruption also led to the cancellation of the return flight AI104 from Washington, DC to Delhi via Vienna. Air India stated that affected passengers have been rebooked on alternate services or offered full refunds, depending on their preferences. "Flight AI103 from Delhi to Washington, DC on 2 July 2025 made a planned fuel stop in Vienna. During routine aircraft checks, an extended maintenance task was identified, which required rectification before the next flight and, thus, additional time for completion," an airline spokesperson said in a statement. "Due to this, the Vienna to Washington, DC leg was cancelled, and passengers were disembarked. Passengers eligible for visa-free entry or those with valid Schengen visas were provided with hotel accommodations in Vienna until the next available flight. For those without entry permission, accommodations are being arranged, pending immigration and security clearances by Austrian authorities. Consequently, flight AI104 from Washington, DC, to Delhi via Vienna was also cancelled, and the affected passengers have been rebooked on alternative flights to Delhi or offered full refunds based on their preferences," the airline added. On Friday, the Karnataka High Court annulled the criminal proceedings initiated against Malayalam filmmaker Ranjith Balakrishnan. The case, which was based on a complaint filed by a 31-year-old man who accused the director of assault, has now been officially set aside, as per a Live Law verdict was delivered by a single-judge bench led by Justice S. R. Krishna Kumar. After reviewing the petition submitted by Balakrishnan, the court ruled in his favour and ordered the dismissal of the charges. The FIR had invoked provisions under Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code, which deals with unnatural sexual acts, as well as Section 66E of the Information Technology Act, 2000, which pertains to violations of per reports from PTI, the complainant, an aspiring actor, alleged that the incident took place at a luxury hotel in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The First Information Report (FIR) states that the man was first introduced to Balakrishnan in 2012, in Kozhikode, during the filming of Bavuttiyude Namathil—a project written and produced by the director. The complainant claimed that he had originally visited the film set to meet Malayalam superstar to the FIR, Balakrishnan reportedly obtained the complainant's phone number and later invited him to a high-end hotel near Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru in December 2012. It was during this meeting that the man says he was offered alcohol and then sexually assaulted by the director. The complaint was initially submitted in Kerala, but since the alleged assault occurred in Bengaluru, the case was subsequently transferred there for jurisdictional reasons. A senior police officer confirmed that an FIR has now been registered in Bengaluru based on the complainant stated that although the incident happened over a decade ago, he decided to come forward only recently, encouraged by the growing wave of sexual misconduct allegations within the Malayalam film industry. He said the courage of other survivors inspired him to finally break his silence and lodge the the complaint, legal proceedings were initiated on October 26 at the Bangalore International Airport Limited police station. The case has been filed under Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code, which pertains to unnatural offenses, and Section 66E of the Information Technology Act, which deals with violations of is not the first time Balakrishnan has been accused of inappropriate behaviour. The judge also observed that the 12-year delay in reporting the incident had not been adequately explained, which cast doubt on the reliability of the Balakrishnan is a celebrated name in Malayalam cinema, known for his multifaceted roles as a director, screenwriter, producer, and actor. He made his directorial debut in 2001 with Ravanaprabhu, the sequel to Devaasuram. Over his career, he has earned three National Film Awards. His movie Spirit won for Best Film on Social Issues, while Thirakkatha and Indian Rupee received the National Award for Best Feature Film in Malayalam in 2008 and 2011, respectively. He has also been honoured with six Kerala State Film Awards.
