Man dies after road rage shooting in Tempe, police say
The Tempe Police Department first posted about the incident on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, just before 2 p.m. on July 1.
The man was taken to the hospital after the shooting, where he died, police said in an email to The Arizona Republic. The other man involved in the incident remained on scene and was detained, police said.
There were no outstanding suspects or a threat to the public, police said.
Warner Road was closed between Priest and Commerce drives for the next few hours, according to police.
There was no other information available as of 6 p.m., police said.
