While the sunny weather might be taken as a good thing for those with a Ring Solar Charger, it may affect battery performance or cause the device to shut down entirely.
"Prolonged exposure to hot weather will negatively affect the overall lifetime of your battery," according to Ring.
"If your device gets too hot, it will not charge and may completely shut down."
Heat can permanently damage the batteries in electronic devices - even your iPhone or Android phone - by accelerating internal chemical reactions.
This can cause the battery to run through its lifespan faster, and even cause it to hold less charge over time.
High temperatures can also cause the electrolyte fluid inside batteries to evaporate, which could potentially damage internal components.
In rare cases, heat can trigger a process called "thermal runaway" in lithium-ion batteries, which can cause a fire.

Fortunately, there are steps you can take to keep your device working properly and protect it from rising temperatures.
Ring recommends installing the device in a shaded area, if possible.
You may also need to take it inside to cool down during the hottest parts of the day.

People have said that the watch could pass as a leading model, which often sells for hundreds of pounds more Amazon shoppers have been raving about an affordable smartwatch that "covers all the features" expected of something more expensive. People can take advantage of a deal that knocks even more off the price tag, as the device is now £76 cheaper. The Jugeman Smart Watch normally costs Amazon shoppers £99.99 but has been discounted by more than 75% - but it's only for certain styles. At the time of writing, the light black, grey, light pink, green and blue versions are all under £24. Amazon claims that the fitness tracker has all the features people would expect from a smartwatch, like connecting to the phone via Bluetooth to make and receive calls. It can also pull messages from various other apps, such as WhatsApp, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and more. For fitness fanatics, the waterproof watch offers a range of features to make training and tracking progress effortless. With more than 110 different sport programmes, it "helps you train scientifically and achieve your fitness goals", Amazon adds. A major selling point that shoppers constantly praise about this watch is its 'long battery life'. Amazon also claims that a two-hour charge provides "up to 5-7 days of battery life." Alternatives are available elsewhere if people want to get their hands on a smartwatch but don't want to spend hundreds of pounds. For example, Sports Direct is offering this Karrimor Smart Watch (£19.99, down from £49.99) and the Reflex Active Series 23 Smart Watch from Currys (£39.99). One said: "Everyone keeps asking if it's an Apple Watch. It's brilliant, well worth the money and more!" Another added: "Great value watch, easy to set up, operate and read from the watch face. Good battery life was a replacement for a much more expensive version but still covers all the features." A third wrote: "Excellent value, look's really good and real easy to use, and the battery charge lasts forever." Someone else said: "Have been waiting for what felt like forever for this watch to go down in price and when it did, I brought two! "So easy to set up, comfortable to wear, easy to use but the biggest bonus for me is the battery life. Five days worn and it's still at 50% - that's impressive!" A fifth put: "It is very good and easy to set up, so far the whole family has one." Some did point out a few issues they had. One shared: "Has every sport app on it except swimming which is unusual but otherwise very pleased." And, another warned they found the device "can be very temperamental", suggesting it struggled to record steps, workouts and sleep patterns. A third put: "Watch doesn't always register my steps. Update took a while. The weather doesn't change unless I open weather on my phone then watch updates to the temp."
