Lorraine Kelly 'embarrassed' over awkward Strictly line up blunder live on-air

During Tuesday's episode of her daytime show, Lorraine Kelly and Tyler West chatted about the latest Strictly Come Dancing news.
The 65-year-old presenter experienced a live on-air slip-up that had ITV viewers taking to social media where they all remarked on the on-air mishap. Keen to get on with backstage gossip surrounding the glitzy glitterball show, Lorraine opened with: "Strictly is back in the headlines this morning but it's all good though."
She went on to say: "Reports of who could be in this year's lineup. Tyler joins me now." However, the Scottish host made an awkward suggestion that her colleague and entertainment reporter should join Strictly - only for him to remind her that he had already competed in the dance contest three years prior.
Lorraine enthused: "Well you, obviously, should be there. I could see you in the lineup. You'd be fantastic," reports the Express. To which a baffled Tyler replied: "I've already done it, Lorraine."
Quick to recover, Lorraine smoothly added: "I know. I'd like to see you again. As a pro."

"Go back for part two as a pro?" Tyler queried. "I mean, that says a lot. I just got to get through Blackpool and hope Shirley picks me." Lorraine confirmed: "That's what I meant."
The on-air mistake didn't go unnoticed by viewers,who found the error rather hilarious. One person's tweet read: "Lorraine forgot Tyler had already done #Strictly."

Another viewer pointed out the awkward moment, posting: "Lorraine: I wanna see you on Strictly. Tyler: 'I already did it Lorraine.' Embarrassing #lorraine."
A third remarked: "Lorraine Lorraine Lorraine! You didn't know he'd already done Strictly [laughing emoji] so awkward #lorraine #Strictly."

Despite her fears about Strictly, Lorraine told Tyler that he's the 'only person' she'd like to dance with. She elaborated: "I can't do that show because it would be too scary. With you it would be quite fun. Anyway this is all in my head."
Tyler shared some details about his Strictly journey, saying: "This is around the time I'd been asked. It was around July and then it was the worst secret in the world."
Lorraine airs weekdays on ITV1, from 9am.
