SHAH ALAM: Police are tracking down a group of cyclists whose actions — appearing to surround a car — recently went viral on social media.
The incident is believed to have occurred at about 9.30pm on Tuesday along Persiaran Dato Menteri.
Their behaviour was captured by a dashcam on the vehicle.
Shah Alam district police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim said investigations revealed that the cyclists were riding on both the left and right lanes of the road.
"This caused the car driver to slow down as the group was blocking the way," he said in a statement yesterday, reported Harian Metro.
The case is being investigated under Section 54 of the Road Transport Act 1987 and Rule 42 of the Road Traffic Rules LN 166/1959.
