Woman fights for life after Llandudno crash as driver arrested
A woman is fighting for her life after a crash in Llandudno. The incident happened on Saturday night in Llandudno.
Police received a 999-call just after 8.30pm reporting an incident at Cwm Place involving a grey coloured Seat Altea.
The female passenger of the vehicle was taken to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd by ambulance. She was later transferred to a specialist trauma unit in Stoke.

The driver – a 23-year-old woman - was arrested on suspicion of drink driving, causing serious injury by dangerous driving, driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence and driving with no insurance.
She has since been released on bail pending further enquiries.
Acting Sergeant Duncan Logan of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: 'The investigation to establish the cause of the collision is underway and we are appealing for anybody who may have witnessed the incident, or who may have seen the car being driven prior to the collision to contact us as soon as possible.
"We are also urging anyone with doorbell camera or dash cam footage to contact us.'

A 30-year-old drug dealer has been jailed for 10 years after police tracked him down due to his famous dad. A team of specialist cops identified him from messages about his 90s singer father. An associate within their drug network even sent him a picture of his famous dad and made comments which confirmed their relationship. Thomas Hooton, the son of The Farm lead singer Peter Hooton, has been jailed and sentenced to ten years and eight months for the supply of cocaine, ketamine, cannabis and heroin. The 30-year-old drug dealer, who had previously pleaded guilty to conspiring to supply drugs, was using the name "Ownraptor" and quickly became a trusted broker of multi-million pound drug deals, reports the Mirror. Thomas also wrote in messages that he was driving a black Audi A3 and his "arl fella", meaning his dad, had arranged the insurance. Thomas was sentenced at Liverpool Crown Court on Friday. On the back of his arrest by Merseyside's Organised Crime Partnership in April this year, Thomas made the decision to plead guilty. He had been using the messaging service EncroChat to broker his drug deals which reportedly had the street value of an estimated £ 1.3million. Police were also able to detect that he had been using more than 40 names for contact and had also set up a county lines supply that covered Scotland, north-east and the south of England. A spokesperson for the National Crime Agency said: "At the very minimum, Hooton was involved in the supply of 42.5kg of cannabis, 3.25kg of heroin, 10 kg of cocaine and 1kg of ketamine." They added: "His messages said he was in possession of around £400,000 and owed £258,000." The offences which led to his arrest were reportedly between March 26 and June 4 five years ago. Detective Chief Inspector Lynsay Armbruster said: "It's clear Hooton was involved in organised crime for a long time before he was charged. His criminal and geographical reach will have taken considerable time to establish. His drug supply operations were on an almost daily basis, they were sustained and spanned the UK working with high level criminals." EncroChat was deactivated in 2020 by a European investigation team. The Mirror has reached out to Peter Hooton for a comment.

Man wins £9k after Google captures him naked at home
A police officer whose backside was exposed to the world on Google Street View has won more than £9,000 in compensation. The Argentinean man was caught naked while a Google Street View car was taking images of his town in the province of Buenos Aires. The officer was on his patio when the vehicle whizzed by and snapped his behind – which was then uploaded online for billions of people to see. The red-faced man was awarded more than £9,000 in compensation after a fierce legal battle, with judges ruling Google had invaded his privacy. The cop claimed he had been standing behind a six-foot wall when he was pictured naked, but Google insisted it wasn't high enough. The first legal battle went Google's way, reports La Nacion. A judge ruled it was the police officer's fault because he was 'walking around in inappropriate conditions in the garden of his home'. They also decided that 'the only person able to identify who the naked person was, was the actual man'. The 'policeman shot himself in the foot' by his own action, the judge concluded. But appeal judges overturned this decision and ordered Google Argentina and Google LLC to pay the man a total of 16 million pesos – around £9,600. Judges decided that even though the police officer's face was not visible, his address could still be determined by the street numbers. They wrote: 'This involves an image of a person that was not captured in a public space but within the confines of their home, behind a fence taller than the average-sized person. The invasion of privacy… is blatant. 'There is no doubt that in this case there was an arbitrary intrusion into another's life'. They added that there was 'no justification for (Google) to evade responsibility for this serious error that involved an intrusion into the plaintiff's house, within his private domain, undermining his dignity. No one wants to appear exposed to the world as the day they were born.' The ruling comes after a number of experts advised people to blur their house on Google Street View. He said: 'Blurring your house prevents anybody from getting any really specific information or intelligence on it.' Cop injured amid 'disturbance' in Scottish Borders as witness appeal launched
Police say the incident was contained and they are not lookign for any one else in relation. A police officer has been left injured following a "disturbance" in the Scottish Borders. The incident unfolded around 10amon Saturday, July 26, when Police Scotland was called to a property in the Howdenbank, Hawick. During the course of the incident, one officer was injured but did not require hospital treatment. Another man, aged 35, was taken to hospital for treatment. Detectives are now appealing for information. Detective Sergeant Kim Allan said: "This was a contained incident and we are not looking for anyone else in connection.
