Corrie's Jason Grimshaw beds married resident just 24 hours after Ryan Thomas returns in twisted revenge scheme

The Sun02-06-2025
CORONATION Street hunk Jason Grimshaw wasted no time making waves - hopping into bed with a married resident just a day after his dramatic return to Weatherfield.
The shock fling was all part of a revenge plot which Jason (Ryan Thomas) got caught up in.

Despite being away from the cobbles for nine years, Jason flirting game was still intact as he continued to woo the residents in Weatherfield.
Monday's episode of Coronation Street saw Jason flirt with Danielle (Natalie Ann Jamieson) in the Rovers Return pub - not knowing she was the wife of Todd's new boyfriend Theo Silverton (James Cartwright).
When Danielle learned Jason was Todd's (Gareth Pierce) brother, she wasted no time in getting payback on Todd for stealing her husband and breaking up her family.
The pair headed back to Eileen's (Sue Cleaver) house for a steamy afternoon romp.
But when they headed downstairs half dressed... Todd, Theo, Eileen and George (Tony Maudsley) were left gobsmacked.
Danielle turned to Theo and said: "Surprise!"
A confused Jason asked: "Do you know each other?"
And a outraged Todd replied: "She's his wife!"
Eileen held her head in her hands as the brothers squared up to each other and squabbled over who the biggest embarrassment in the family was.
But they later apologised, admitted they're both failures and Todd urged his brother to go back to Thailand before he got swept into anymore dramas.

Meanwhile, Danielle took Theo's wedding ring and dropped it in the drain to prove their marriage was over for good.
Later, Jason opened up to his mum about his bar going up for sale in Thailand.
He said he needed £40k or he will be unemployed and homeless.
Eileen suggested using Julie's (Katy Cavanagh) life insurance money, while Jason urged her to come with him to Thailand and be his business partner.
Corrie cash crisis: shock exits for 2025
ITV bosses are locked in a battle to save the cash-strapped soap.
This means that a number of stars have either been axed from or have abandoned the long-running serial drama.
Colson Smith - Craig Tinker
The character of Craig Tinker has been axed by bosses after 14 years. After he was told of the news in Autumn 2024, Colson Smith confirmed that would be written out of the show with scenes to air later this year. Craig's on-screen mum, Beth Tinker, also left the show in the summer when actress Lisa George was written out from the role.
Sue Cleaver - Eileen Grimshaw
After 25 years playing Eileen Grimshaw, former I'm A Celebrity campmate Sue Cleaver will quit the show. The Sun on Sunday reported in January that she's already begun to film her exit scenes. However the character will not be killed off in case Sue opts to make a return in the future.
Luca Toolan - Mason Radcliffe
Bosses decided to axe the teenage character after just 16 months after he first joined the show. Recent scenes saw Mason stabbed by his criminal brothers after his pal Dylan brought a knife in an attempt to defend him.
Sue Devaney - Debbie Webster
In November 2024, we revealed that Debbie Webster is set to be killed off after 40 years on the cobbles. The character will die as part of a heartbreaking long-running dementia storyline.
Charlotte Jordan - Daisy Midgeley
The actress became the fifth star to leave Coronation Street in just one month. We revealed that she will bow out of the ITV soap later this year after four years on-screen. Charlotte told sources that she's hungry to see what other opportunities await.
Shelley King - Yasmeen Metcalfe
The actress has played Yasmeen Metcalfe on the cobbles for the past 11 years and we revealed in January that she finished filming her final scenes. This follows the departure of her on-screen partner Stu Carpenter.
Eileen insisted that she had a life in Weatherfield, but Jason pointed out that she isn't entirely happy and should think about his offer.
The Sun revealed that Sue will be departing from the ITV soap after 25 years - as she plans to pursue new acting projects.
She said: 'I've had 25 privileged years of working on Coronation Street.
'The door is still firmly open but as I reached my 60th year, I decided it was time to embrace change, look for new adventures and live fearlessly.'
Meanwhile, actor Ryan Thomas said he wanted to pay the soap that made him famous back.
He said: 'It was a mix of nostalgia and gratitude for what the show has done for me. When they told me Eileen was leaving, it felt right to be a part of that storyline for her and revisit where it all started.'
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 or stream from 7am on ITVX.

Indian dance festival 'UTSAV' coming to Cardiff in 2025

UTSAV, meaning 'celebration' in Sanskrit, will be held in Cardiff at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama on September 9, 2025. Created by Cardiff-based Indian arts and culture company Samarpan, the festival aims to address the lack of consistent, high-quality classical Indian arts programming in Wales. Dr Leena Menon and Dr Santosh Nair, directors of Samarpan, said: "UTSAV is a heartfelt offering to Wales, a celebration of classical Indian dance at its finest. "Through UTSAV, we hope to deepen appreciation for these ancient forms and spark new conversations around identity, heritage, and the power of the arts to connect us all." The festival will feature performances from both Samarpan students and internationally acclaimed artists from across the UK, and will showcase four major classical dance styles: Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Kuchipudi, and Odissi.

The more comical the action at women's Euros, the more woke BBC get – one pundit's pearl of wisdom was red card offence

A SIMPLE equation is at play with the BBC and ITV's coverage of the women's Euros – the funnier the football gets, the more earnest the pundits must become. To the point, when things go really haywire, they sound more like they're dissecting Garry Kasparov versus the Deep Blue chess computer than the latter stages of a football tournament. 7 BBC's pundits during the England/Sweden game 7 Pundit Gabby Logan for BBC Sport Credit: Instagram/gabbylogan 7 Ian Wright during ITV's coverage of England/Italy semi-final Credit: Pixel8000 A sly reference to the exquisite mayhem of the England/Sweden penalty shoot-out, in Zurich, on BBC1, which has to be a contender for the...

Major Emmerdale couple ‘set to reunite' as Lewis works his magic

Having just managed to turn around the fortunes of the café with his Midas touch, Emmerdale's Lewis Barton (Bradley Riches) is about to go into Cupid mode as well. There is nothing this kid can't do, from growing medicinal weed to making the villagers Shakshuka eggs, now he's about to solve his brother's love woes to boot. Lewis learns about Ross Barton (Mike Parr) failed relationship with Steph (Georgia Jay) and resolves to do something about it. Ross and Steph had an unexpected relationship that flourished for a while but quickly became doomed when she learned that she was the product of sexual abuse and that her grandfather was really her father. Something like that can really put a dampener on a fledgling relationship, and for her and Ross it was too much. Steph was distraught to learn of what happened to her mother and became fixated on her looks, claiming that every glance in a mirror she saw Anthony looking back at her. After several failed attempts at plastic surgery, Steph finally broke down and despite all his support, dumped Ross to focus on herself. She told him she couldn't be the person he needed, and she was setting him free. Steph hasn't been seen much since then, but she's back. More Trending Lewis digs into Ross' relationship and finds himself intrigued by the story with Steph. It doesn't seem to have had a proper ending; it was more like bad timing.
