Tracy Beaker's Nathan actor looks NOTHING like this now after epic transformation to become Coronation Street hunk

A Tracy Beaker star looks nothing like his former alter-ego after an epic transformation to become a Coronation Street hunk. The much-loved children's TV show, which is an adaptation of Jacqueline Wilson 's book of the same name, ran on CBBC between 2002 and 2005. The programme followed the story of a young girl called Tracy (Dani Harmer) in care, as well as the other kids and adults who looked after them. One character who was introduced during series two was trainee care worker Nathan Jones, who later did become a full time care worker after EVENTUALLY completing his course work. Nathan was on our screens until series three. The character was played by none other than actor James Cartwright, 40 - who appeared on Wednesday's episode of Lorraine. And some have only just realised that he is currently playing Theo Silverton in Corrie. The scaffolder first appeared on the Cobbles in March this year. He is married to Danielle Silverton (Natalie Anderson), but little does she know that he's been having an affair with Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) behind her back. The pair were set up by Todd's late aunt Julie Carp (Katy Cavanagh) after a metal pole from some scaffolding he was working on nearly hit her. Theo and Julie clashed as he thought she was trying to claim money off him, but later found out that she had terminal cancer. The scaffolder told Todd that he wasn't gay, but they soon couldn't stay away from each other and started sleeping with each other. Todd was left heartbroken when Theo's wife arrived at the Street and found out that they had been married for 19 years. James' arrival was announced earlier this year. Speaking about the role, he said: 'I think Theo is a good guy, he comes in with the best of intentions, as most people do, but he may upset some people with his behaviour.' The actor shared he was 'very excited' about the new role and shared, 'a lot of my memories growing up as a young boy were settling down with my gran after tea, she'd make me a crumpet and we'd sit there and watch Corrie'. He added: 'I feel like it's a great honour to be a part of something that's brought joy to people for so long.' Coronation Street and Tracy Beaker aren't the only impressive roles that James has had over the years. Back in the early 2000s he starred in The Bill, Vacuuming Completely Nude in Paradise, Fuction at the Function and Clocking Off. After appearing in the Tracy Beaker franchise, he starred in Outlaws, Blackpool, Missing, The Afternoon Play and Instinct. James has also appeared in Holby City, Hollyoaks Later, Dracula, Doctors, Love, Lives and Records and Downtown Abbey. More recently he played Humphrey Lash in Sister Boniface Mysteries, Stephen Lampart in Dalgliesh, John I Lackland in Glow & Darkness and Jimbo Riley in Father Brown. It comes after it was revealed that the soaps have been left in chaos this week after EastEnders was ousted rom BBC One, and Emmerdale and Corrie were cancelled by ITV. BBC bosses have cleared the schedule as they dedicate live coverage to this year's Wimbledon Championship. From 7pm on BBC One, live coverage will kick off, running all the way up to the News At 10 before normal programming resumes. As a result, EastEnders has been

Coronation Street viewers warn fan favourite to ‘run' as they predict shock emotional abuse storyline

FRUSTRATED Coronation Street fans have begged Todd to bin Theo - and predicted what dark proceedings are about to unfold. Corrie viewers have taken to social media to warn much-loved character Todd to escape from Theo's clutches while he can. 5 5 Coronation Street viewers have watched Theo (James Cartwright) take Weatherfield - and Todd - by storm. And Former bad boy Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) appears to be getting in even deeper, hotter water with new flame, Theo. After putting Theo's phone on airplane mode to try and help him relax on the night out, Todd feels the wrath of the hunky hot-headed scaffolder - who has missed multiple calls from the hospital about his daughter. Todd tried to explain: "It was a stupid thing to do. I was eager for you to have a good time, for us both to have a good time. I didn't think..." Theo responded: "No, you didn't think. You didn't think. You don't have kids, do you? So it's all about you, yeah. Some of us don't have that luxury." "Let me help you..." requested Todd. An aggressive Theo shouted: "Don't you touch me! I'm gonna go to A&E, right? "And if you ever come near me again, I'll knock your teeth out. You make me sick." Forecasting a shock emotional abuse storyline between them, fans have warned the undertaker assistant to run for the hills. "Please find a great guy for Todd so he can have a nurturing, lasting relationship. Drop Theo. He's toxic," wrote one distressed fan. Emmerdale star Natalie Anderson joins Coronation Street as Theo's secret wife "And the worst part about this episode? Theo. Get RID TODD PLEASE FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY AND THE SAFETY OF OTHERS," begged a second. A third agreed: "Theo isn't in the headspace to be in a relationship and anyone with eyes could see that. Todd should see that. He shouldn't be in a relationship with Theo at all especially with all this emotional abuse when Theo loses his s***." Another viewer noted: "I feel sorry for Todd, Theo is a pain in the a***!" A different fan advised: "Todd, dump Theo and get with James... who obviously fancies you." "I like Todd and think he's deserves someone better than Theo. He can't make his mind up which side to bat for," noted a viewer. "Get rid of Theo! Get Todd a nice fella," wrote another. "Todd is way too good for Theo. I know Theo is traumatised, conversion therapy is awful, but he's going to end up hurting Todd badly, maybe even by accident," predicted one fan. "Theo needs to get a grip," barked one blunt user. Coronation Street fans were stunned to learn Todd's new scaffolder beau had a wife and teenage daughter. Theo's family were torn apart after his wife Danielle (Natalie Anderson) caught him and Todd passionately kissing. Theo is one of a trio of new characters to shake up the cobbles in a series of explosive storylines. 5 5 5

Corrie's Jason Grimshaw beds married resident just 24 hours after Ryan Thomas returns in twisted revenge scheme

CORONATION Street hunk Jason Grimshaw wasted no time making waves - hopping into bed with a married resident just a day after his dramatic return to Weatherfield. The shock fling was all part of a revenge plot which Jason (Ryan Thomas) got caught up in. 5 5 Despite being away from the cobbles for nine years, Jason flirting game was still intact as he continued to woo the residents in Weatherfield. Monday's episode of Coronation Street saw Jason flirt with Danielle (Natalie Ann Jamieson) in the Rovers Return pub - not knowing she was the wife of Todd's new boyfriend Theo Silverton (James Cartwright). When Danielle learned Jason was Todd's (Gareth Pierce) brother, she wasted no time in getting payback on Todd for stealing her husband and breaking up her family. The pair headed back to Eileen's (Sue Cleaver) house for a steamy afternoon romp. But when they headed downstairs half dressed... Todd, Theo, Eileen and George (Tony Maudsley) were left gobsmacked. Danielle turned to Theo and said: "Surprise!" A confused Jason asked: "Do you know each other?" And a outraged Todd replied: "She's his wife!" Eileen held her head in her hands as the brothers squared up to each other and squabbled over who the biggest embarrassment in the family was. But they later apologised, admitted they're both failures and Todd urged his brother to go back to Thailand before he got swept into anymore dramas. Coronation Street and Emmerdale humiliated at British Soap Awards as rival soap wins EIGHT gongs Meanwhile, Danielle took Theo's wedding ring and dropped it in the drain to prove their marriage was over for good. Later, Jason opened up to his mum about his bar going up for sale in Thailand. He said he needed £40k or he will be unemployed and homeless. Eileen suggested using Julie's (Katy Cavanagh) life insurance money, while Jason urged her to come with him to Thailand and be his business partner. Corrie cash crisis: shock exits for 2025 ITV bosses are locked in a battle to save the cash-strapped soap. This means that a number of stars have either been axed from or have abandoned the long-running serial drama. Colson Smith - Craig Tinker The character of Craig Tinker has been axed by bosses after 14 years. After he was told of the news in Autumn 2024, Colson Smith confirmed that would be written out of the show with scenes to air later this year. Craig's on-screen mum, Beth Tinker, also left the show in the summer when actress Lisa George was written out from the role. Sue Cleaver - Eileen Grimshaw After 25 years playing Eileen Grimshaw, former I'm A Celebrity campmate Sue Cleaver will quit the show. The Sun on Sunday reported in January that she's already begun to film her exit scenes. However the character will not be killed off in case Sue opts to make a return in the future. Luca Toolan - Mason Radcliffe Bosses decided to axe the teenage character after just 16 months after he first joined the show. Recent scenes saw Mason stabbed by his criminal brothers after his pal Dylan brought a knife in an attempt to defend him. Sue Devaney - Debbie Webster In November 2024, we revealed that Debbie Webster is set to be killed off after 40 years on the cobbles. The character will die as part of a heartbreaking long-running dementia storyline. Charlotte Jordan - Daisy Midgeley The actress became the fifth star to leave Coronation Street in just one month. We revealed that she will bow out of the ITV soap later this year after four years on-screen. Charlotte told sources that she's hungry to see what other opportunities await. Shelley King - Yasmeen Metcalfe The actress has played Yasmeen Metcalfe on the cobbles for the past 11 years and we revealed in January that she finished filming her final scenes. This follows the departure of her on-screen partner Stu Carpenter. Eileen insisted that she had a life in Weatherfield, but Jason pointed out that she isn't entirely happy and should think about his offer. The Sun revealed that Sue will be departing from the ITV soap after 25 years - as she plans to pursue new acting projects. She said: 'I've had 25 privileged years of working on Coronation Street. 'The door is still firmly open but as I reached my 60th year, I decided it was time to embrace change, look for new adventures and live fearlessly.' Meanwhile, actor Ryan Thomas said he wanted to pay the soap that made him famous back. He said: 'It was a mix of nostalgia and gratitude for what the show has done for me. When they told me Eileen was leaving, it felt right to be a part of that storyline for her and revisit where it all started.' Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 or stream from 7am on ITVX. 5 5 5
