Aberdeen agree Pape Gueye transfer exit as they land hefty profit after deal with Kasimpasa brokered
Aberdeen have agreed a deal in excess of £850,000 with Kasimpasa for Pape Gueye.
The formalities between the two clubs with additional add-ons should be signed off today.
Gueye has now been given permission to open talks with the Turkish Super Lig side and to travel for a medical.
The deal was finally thrashed out last night after days of negotiations.
It will see Aberdeen make a tidy profit on the £500,000 they paid Kortrijk two years ago.
The deal will also cover the Belgian side's sell-on.
Gueye will now pick up a significant increase when he moves to Turkey.
Dons manager Jimmy Thelin have now ramped up their search for multiple strikers.
They have made a new proposal to AC Milan for Alex Lazetic and are now awaiting a response to that.
The Dons tried to land the Serbian under-21 striker in January but were thwarted by red tape at the end of the window.

Hearts injury news pre-Aberdeen: Four players out + five doubts for Scottish Premiership curtain-raiser
The opening weekend of the 2025/26 Scottish Premiership season will be closed out by Hearts and Aberdeen at Tynecastle on Monday night - but there are injury concerns for both managers. The Jambos have been in stellar form under new manager Derek McInnes so far this summer, racking up four straight wins over lower league opposition in the Premier Sports Cup by scoring four goals in each game. The Dons will make the journey down to the capital from the North East having played fewer games than their opponents over the course of pre-season; just two in total. Last season's Scottish Cup winners lost 3-1 at home to EFL Championship side Ipswich Town last weekend, while Hearts thrashed newly-promoted Premier League outfit Sunderland 3-0 in Craig Gordon's testimonial match. Below is the latest injury news from both camps ahead of Monday's clash in Gorgie: 1 . Can St Mirren secure points in their season opener against Celtic? The Buddies are 6/1 outsiders to cause the upset - while a draw is 15/2
Celtic's Scottish Premiership title defence gets underway on Sunday as they go head-to-head with St Mirren at Celtic Park. Brendan Rodgers' side are heavily backed to open their 2025-26 campaign with a win - with the hosts priced at a very short 1/7 according to Sky Bet. Conversely, St Mirren are sizeable outsiders at 16/1 to cause a major upset in enemy territory, while a draw is valued at 15/2. It is worth noting that the last game between these two sides ended in a 1-1 draw - a fixture that also took place at Celtic's home ground. Elsewhere, in a separate market - it is Johnny Kenny who is the best-backed to score the first goal of the game at 3/1. Kenny registered 15 goal contributions while on loan for Shamrock Rovers last season - before returning to Celtic in January and recording a further two goal contributions for the Old Bhoys. Shin Yamada is a 7/2 joint-second-favourite with Sky Bet to score first, sitting alongside Adam Idah on the same odds. Sky Bet odds for Celtic vs St Mirren: Celtic 1/7 St Mirren 16/1 Draw 15/2 Sky Bet odds in Goalscorers market for Celtic vs St Mirren: Johnny Kenny 3/1 Shin Yamada 7/2 Adam Idah 7/2

Call for Celtic fans to applaud for beloved grandad after tragic death
Grandson Dylan Palmer is hoping fans will join the family in celebrating Jimmy by clapping on the 77th-minute. A family has called for Celtic fans to applaud for their beloved grandad. Grandson Dylan Palmer is hoping fans will join the family in celebrating Jimmy by clapping on the 77th-minute. Jimmy passed away last month from Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). The 77-year-old, from Broomhouse in Edinburgh, spent the later years of his life unable to attend games due to his health troubles. However, as reported by Glasgow Live, he always looked forward to watching his team on TV. Dylan told our sister title: "He was a massive Celtic fan. He was stuck inside the house for his last five years because he wasn't mobile. "He never wanted to give up going to games. But even if he was on his mobility scooter he would fall over. He ended up spending most of his time in the house. "But he always looked forward to watching games on TV. He loved it. "I'm a Rangers fan, but he always tried to convince me to support them. It would mean a lot to me and the family to have him celebrated on Sunday." Dylan hopes that fans will join in the 77th-minute applause for Jimmy during Celtic's league opening game against St Mirren on Sunday, August 3. Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community!
