Cardi B Announces Long-Awaited Sophomore Album ‘Am I the Drama?': See the Striking Cover Art
Seven years in the making, Cardi made the announcement official on Monday (June 23) with the LP's gloomy cover art. 'AM I THE DRAMA? My new album is out September 19th! Preorder LINK IN BIO,' she wrote.

The 32-year-old hinted at being in album mode on Sunday (June 22) with a post to Instagram, featuring her narrating the arduous journey to reach this point in her decorated career.
'Seven years and the time has come. Seven years of love, light and loss,' Cardi said in the clip. 'Seven years I gave them grace, but now I give them hell. I learned power's not giving, it's taking. I'm shedding feathers and no more tears. I'm not back, I'm beyond. I'm not your villain, I'm your karma. The time is here. The time is now.'
Cardi put the rap world on notice with her ineffable Invasion of Privacy album in 2018, which netted her two Billboard Hot 100 No. 1s (she now has a total of five) and went on to win best rap album at the 2019 Grammy Awards. Every track from her debut is at least certified platinum by the RIAA.
The album comes on the heels of Cardi dropping her thumping 'Outside' single on Friday (June 19), setting the stage for the LP, which also includes smash hits 'Up' and 'WAP' on the 23-track LP.
It's been a long road for Cardi B and the Bardi Gang to her sophomore effort. Back in May, she chalked up waiting on verses from guests for the delay.
'I really need these f–king features,' she said in a repost of the Spaces. 'And it's like I'm not really trying to press or go crazy on these artists because I love them down. But it's like come on now! I need that! I need that right now! Helloooo! Y'all don't want to miss this opportunity. I'll sing this s–t myself! But I really need y'all and I need y'all to hurry up and I love y'all. I feel like nobody want to miss being on this album.'
After filing for divorce from Offset last August, Cardi B is entering a new chapter of her life as she's currently in a relationship with NFL star Stefon Diggs.
With a release date set for Sept. 19, the countdown to Am I the Drama? is on. Check out the cover art below.Best of Billboard

How Nicholas Hoult Went From Auditioning as Superman to Playing Lex Luthor
Nicholas Hoult's journey to becoming the iconic Lex Luthor in the upcoming Superman movie was far from the norm. Specifically, because the respected actor was initially auditioning to play the lead role in the highly anticipated film. Hoult's fit as the villain in the James Gunn-directed Superman film has been touted as a great fit ahead of the movie's release. However, Gunn recently spoke about what led to the casting of David Corenswet as Superman and Hoult being tabbed as Luthor. During an interview with Variety, Gunn explained what led to Corenswet being cast in the lead role, and specifically discussed what led to Hoult's casting as Luthor. "Most people [auditioning for Superman] weren't doing anything wrong, they just didn't fit how I envisioned this Superman to be. Nicholas Hoult auditioned. He's a great actor. Some might say he's better than David in certain ways, but he just didn't fit the role. That's why he didn't get that," says James Gunn. "As much as you can transform yourself as a person, Nicholas is just more controlled. One of the things we were doing was mixing and matching Lois and Clark actors when we were auditioning them. I wanted to make sure we had that chemistry right." Gunn went on to reveal another interesting tidbit, stating that Hoult had "really good chemistry" with another actress auditioning for the role of Lois Lane. "The truth is Nicholas, who is a more controlled actor, had a really good chemistry with another Lois who was less controlled. They were opposites. David had better chemistry with Rachel [Brosnahan] because she's a very controlled actor and David is a little bit more loose. That creates a different dynamism on screen," Gunn explained. While Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan were ultimately cast as Superman and Lois Lane, it sounds as though Hoult's fit as Luthor was a great one. The previews for the upcoming film showcase as much. Hoult's performance as the iconic villain will be on display when Superman hits theaters on July Nicholas Hoult Went From Auditioning as Superman to Playing Lex Luthor first appeared on Men's Journal on Jul 3, 2025

56 Thoughts I Had While Watching And Just Like That… Season 3, Episode 6
Okay, this particular episode of And Just Like That… was definitely more action-packed than the last one, but I have to admit that it left me with a few more questions than answers, particularly when it comes to the ongoing saga of Carrie Bradshaw and Aidan Shaw (who, if you ask me, need to let go of the past and accept that their best days as a couple are behind them, but famously, nobody is asking me!). Below, find literally every thought I had about the sixth episode of Season 3 of And Just Like That…: Is Carrie reading her fiction to her hot, angry neighbor? In the rain, no less? While they eat stew? Mutton, no less? If I were Aidan, I would be pissed, but then again, he's in Virginia and won't let Carrie talk to him or whatever, so maybe he deserves what he gets. Oh, and they're trading chapters? Damn. Miranda opening her heart to Joy's weird little dogs? I love to see it. BITSY VON MUFFLING? In the flesh! I love how this woman is one step ahead of Charlotte on marriage, fertility, and now…cancer care. 'You're always so busy, socially.' Drag her, Char! Aw, Seema without her company car? Not something that would normally engender empathy in me, but I really can't see this queen on the subway. Aw, this apartment Miranda wants is so cute! Seema really gets the job done. Love this little infusion of Cynthia Nixon's class politics into Miranda's apartment hunt. This whole Harry-cancer storyline is bumming me out, which I guess is by design. Carrie with the fishtail braid! Go off. I kind of can't believe Miranda is introducing her son to Joy before Carrie, TBH. NO MORE LISA EDITING PLOTLINE. I QUIT. SHE IS MORE INTERESTING THAN THIS! I will say that her new editor Marion really is hot, though. Aidan shattering Carrie's window while trying to romantically throw stones…is this a sign? Break up with him, girl! That glass was irreplaceable! Apparently! Oh, shit, Marion is married-ion? Sorry, that was not my best pun. Oh no, Lisa's dad died :( Wow, I want to be Harry Goldenblatt watching baseball with my beer, my dog, and my hot wife by my side. Remember when they broke up (for a minute) because he wouldn't stop watching the Yankees during Shabbat? Aw, Aidan working so hard to replace Carrie's broken glass is sweet, even though I officially Do Not Believe in this relationship. Wow, here's a Post-It to rival 'I'm sorry, I can't, don't hate me': 'Gone to Scranton, back later.' Who taught Carrie the word 'triggered'? Wow, Bitsy in all orange. I love it. JENIFER LEWIS! Miranda, this lesbian dog does not like you. Get over it. Aw, the 'girlfriend' convo! And Brady and Joy are getting along! How many clumsy metaphors is it going to take for Carrie and Aidan to break the fuck up? For good, this time? AHH! Aidan slept with Kathy! After dropping their troubled son off at wilderness camp?!? Hoo, boy, I guess I don't have too much longer to wait for that for-good breakup. Then again, Carrie famously cheated with Big, and Aidan gave her another shot… Then again, again, he was super-mean to her after that happened until they finally broke up… Wow, she's being very cool about this. Wait, were they not exclusive? Has Carrie been bangin' and we haven't even known about it? I feel insane right now. So now Carrie and Aidan are having sex? Were they even doing that before? Aw, Lisa's funeral hat is kind of amazing. Carrie and Aidan are being awfully giggly for a funeral, no? Oh, wow. Musical funeral? Pippin funeral, specifically? Oop, Aidan-vs.-hot-angry-neighbor standoff. Aw, Charlotte is finally confiding in Carrie about Harry's cancer. Sometimes you just have to cry your eyes out while your friend hugs you in a particularly embarrassing CVS aisle.

‘And Just Like That …' Season 3, Episode 6 Recap: The Dams Break
Season 3, Episode 6: 'Silent Mode' I didn't think it was possible for the relationship between Carrie and Aidan to become any more disconcerting. But wow, in this regard, the writers have succeeded. Toward the end of this week's episode, Aidan drops a bomb: He slept with Kathy. He and his ex-wife were both upset after a failed attempt to send their troubled son Wyatt off on a wilderness trip, and somewhere in between sobs, they fell into bed. Carrie is stunned at this confession for all of about 45 seconds. I know because I counted while watching this scene for the fourth or fifth time. In less than a minute, she bypasses any pain and skips completely ahead to grace and empathy. 'I understand how that could happen,' she says. I've written before that I think Aidan has become, or maybe always was, a covert narcissist. His behavior is, unfortunately, not very surprising. But is Carrie really so far under his thumb that she doesn't even spare a second for her own hurt? Or, perchance, is she feeling a sense of karmic relief? After all, in another life known as the original 'Sex and the City' series, Carrie cheated on Aidan with Mr. Big (Chris Noth) — whom she subsequently married. She also cheated on Big with Aidan when they shared a kiss in Abu Dhabi in the movie 'Sex and the City 2' — all of which is to say, maybe Carrie really can see how that could happen. A few things about this plot point, though, are a little tough to square. First, nothing we have seen this season would suggest that there is any compassion, let alone physical passion, left between Aidan and Kathy. They're not just exes, they're at odds. They disagree, to the point of contempt, on how to handle Wyatt, as we saw in the blowup just two episodes back. It's difficult to imagine them finding comfort in each other over yet another Wyatt debacle. Want all of The Times? Subscribe.
