Egyptian, Turkish FMs discuss bilateral ties, Israeli war on Gaza
CAIRO – 9 June 2025: Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigration Badr Abdelatty held a phone call on Sunday, June 8, with his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen Egyptian-Turkish relations and exchange views on regional developments in the Middle East.
Minister Abdelatty commended the positive trajectory of bilateral relations and the recent high-level exchanges between the two countries. He also expressed his hope for continued cooperation, particularly in the areas of economic development, investment, and trade, noting the significant potential both nations possess.
The two ministers discussed regional developments, with a particular focus on the Gaza Strip in light of the ongoing humanitarian crisis and the continuing Israeli brutal military operations. Minister Abdelatty updated Minister Fidan on Egypt's efforts to secure a ceasefire, facilitate the release of hostages and detainees, and ensure the delivery of humanitarian, medical, and shelter assistance to Gaza.
The conversation also covered recent developments in Libya, particularly the situation in the capital, Tripoli. Minister Abdelatty reiterated Egypt's firm stance on preserving Libya's unity and territorial integrity, and emphasized the importance of a Libyan-led political process. He also underscored the need to hold simultaneous presidential and parliamentary elections as soon as possible.

CAIRO, July 27 (MENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty discussed in a phone call with his Qatari counterpart Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, the latest developments in the Gaza Strip, especially in light the efforts made by Egypt and Qatar to strike a ceasefire deal in the Palestinian enclave. The two top diplomats highlighted flagrant crimes and violations committed by Israel against Palestinians, amid the unprecedented humanitarian situation in Gaza, said spokesman for the foreign ministry Tamim Khallaf. Abdelatty and Sheikh Mohammed stressed their full commitment to continuing negotiations between Israel and Hamas to reach a comprehensive ceasefire agreement as soon as possible, which contributes to allowing the access of humanitarian and relief aid into the Palestinian territory and putting an end to the repeated crimes committed by Israel.
