Mother and two children murdered in Fermanagh to be buried together
Those attending the funeral of Vanessa Whyte and her children in Barefield on Saturday have been asked to wear bright colours.

Ms Whyte (45), a vet, her son James (14) and daughter Sara (13) died following the same incident at a property in the Drummeer Road in Maguiresbridge on Wednesday morning.

The death of the person suspected of shooting them, Ian Rutledge (43),
was announced
on Monday night.
It is understood the agricultural contractor is the only suspect in the shooting of his family.
Last week, police said a triple murder and attempted suicide was a line of inquiry.

Funeral arrangements for Ms Whyte and her two children were announced in a social media post.
The post from the funeral directors said: 'Vanessa was a devoted mother, a loving and beloved daughter and sister and a loving and beloved daughter-in-law and sister-in-law.'
It said James was a 'much-loved son, brother, and grandson' and Sara 'was a dearly loved daughter, sister, and granddaughter'.
A service of removal will take place in St Mary's Church in Maguiresbridge on Wednesday morning.

The funeral Mass will be held in Barefield on Saturday before the three are buried together in Templemaley Cemetery.
People are asked to make donations to Women's Aid.
A prayer service took place for the victims in Barefield on Sunday, following a community vigil in Maguiresbridge last Friday.
A murder investigation was launched last week.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) said last week that all four were members of the same household and all four suffered gunshot wounds.
On Saturday, the PSNI issued an appeal for information involving the movements of a vehicle.

They have asked anyone who saw a silver Mercedes saloon car being driven in the Clones Road area of Newtownbutler, or between Maguiresbridge and Newtownbutler, on the evening of Tuesday, July 22nd, to call detectives on 101.
On Monday night, the PSNI said Mr Rutledge had been in hospital in a serious condition and died that evening.

'Detectives have reiterated their appeal for anyone with information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, to come forward,' the police spokesperson said.

The maximum penalty for failing to have proper control of a vehicle is five penalty units - amounting to a maximum fine of under $1,000. She could have faced up to ten years in jail if she had been charged and convicted of dangerous driving causing death. The reason why Zuhaira is not facing the more serious charge remains unclear. In the days after the tragedy, Daily Mail revealed Victoria Police officers had been seen delivering groceries to Zuhaira at her home. Images captured by the Daily Mail at the time showed a police inspector among those delivering groceries. 'The investigation into the fatal collision in Hawthorn East remains ongoing,' a police spokesman told the Daily Mail at the time, emphasising police had not purchased the groceries. 'Police officers continue to work to support the welfare of those involved.' The bizarre move followed a request by Victoria Police to media organisations to leave the driver alone. 'This incident has had an absolutely traumatic effect on everyone involved,' the police statement said. 'We are aware there are media personnel at the Hawthorn East address of the woman who was driving the car involved in the crash. 'Whilst we understand and respect your interest in what happened and subsequent reporting, we kindly ask that you move on from the address as it's causing deep distress to family, including young children.' Following the charges, Zuhaira's family released a statement offering its heartfelt condolences to Jack's family. 'Our hearts go out to you and to every family affected by this loss,' they said. It is understood the then 40-year-old P-plate licence holder had just collected her child from the school and performed a U-turn before tragedy struck. It has since been revealed Zuhaira had attended a two-hour meeting at the school prior to the crash, but details about the meeting remain unclear. A source claimed she drove over the median strip, got stuck and accelerated hard to free herself, but then lost control. Zuhaira was initially arrested on the day of the tragedy but later released following a police interview. Crash scene investigators reportedly created a mechanical reconstruction of the accident to examine the angle of the driver's seat, gear stick movements and speed. Jack had been a devoted Melbourne Demons fan, with his sisters Olivia and Charlotte invited to run out with the team onto the MCG just two days before Zuhaira was charged. His family have made no public comments on the ongoing case since the very first days after the tragedy. At the time, Jack's father, Mike Davey, shared his gratitude for the outpouring of love and support for his son. 'We find comfort in reading the many messages and memories of Jack and how his life and energy was a positive influence on so many in the community at just 11 years old,' his father, Michael Davey, said. Teen boy walked to church to call 911 after fatally shooting his mom and dad at home
A teenager allegedly shot and killed his parents in Florida before walking one mile to a church where he called 911. Trevor Lee, 14, called authorities from the church in Middleburg shortly after midnight on Monday and admitted to killing his mom and dad, according to Clay County Sheriff Michelle Cook. The teenager also told authorities that his parents could be found at their home nearby, and vowed to wait at the church for law enforcement to take him into custody. When deputies then arrived at the home, they found David Lee, 44, and Brandi Smith, 45, dead from apparent gunshot wounds, Cook said at a news conference announcing the boy's arrest. The murder weapon allegedly used by Trevor was found inside the house. Sheriff Cook said he left it behind when he walked to the church. It now appears that the boy got into an argument with his parents Sunday night, that culminated in the deadly shooting, though detectives are still working to comb through the evidence to determine all of the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Investigators are also looking into Trevor's mental health history, Cook said, according to First Coast News. In the meantime, he remains in custody on two counts of second-degree murder. But his best friend, Kyree Beamon, said Trevor's actions Sunday night does not reflect the boy he knows. He told News 4 Jax that he and Trevor had been friends since elementary school, and played on the same football team. Just this past Friday, Beamon said, Trevor and his dad gave him a ride to and from practice. 'They were probably the best, or one of the best families I knew,' he said. The grieving friend went on to tell how he had received a call from Trevor overnight, though he was not sure if that was before or after his longtime friend called 911. 'He told me that he loved me and he told me that he was just calling to tell me good night,' Beamon recounted. 'Trevor isn't a bad person; he made some bad decisions and he will suffer the consequences, but that's not all he was,' he continued. 'He was a great friend, great brother, great son. 'And I'm not going to say Trevor isn't my best friend anymore because the Trevor that did this, I don't know that Trevor and the Trevor that I know, and all of our friends knew, I will continue to be friends with him and I pray that the Trevor that did this died last night.' Meanwhile, James Lewis, a cousin of Brandi's, described to First Coast News how 'she was a happy person, a good person all around. 'Every time I saw them, [they were] laughing, joking doing family things,' he said. 'My heart breaks for that little boy, obviously tragic incident, for it to get to that point where he felt like it was the only option he had, is the saddest thing you could possibly think of,' neighbor Seth Myers added.

Husband of top lawyer, 47, suddenly dies during deep-dive expedition to shipwreck in Cape Cod
The husband of a top New Jersey lawyer has tragically died during a deep-dive expedition to a shipwreck off the coast of Cape Cod. Joe Mazraani had successfully conducted countless dives in his work as president of Atlantic Wreck Salvage. On July 29, he was diving with a group from his boat Tenacious when he reportedly suffered a medical emergency. He was hauled back onto the boat and other divers attempted to perform life-saving measures, but he could not be revived. Mazraani's wife, New Jersey Public Defender Jennifer Sellitti, said 'all indications point to a medical emergency.' 'While we are choosing to keep the details private, we currently have no reason to suspect diver error or equipment failure,' she said. The group had been exploring an unidentified shipwreck referred to as 'The Big Engine Steamer' at the time of the tragedy. It was brought back in to New Bedford, Massachusetts the following morning. State and local police, as well as the US Coast Guard, are investigating the circumstances of Mazraani's death. The well-known maritime historian and technical diver had been a scuba diver since the mid 1990s and had cut his teeth wreck-diving off the coasts of New York, New Jersey and Massachusetts. He was also a criminal defense lawyer. 'Joe Mazraani was larger than life,' his partner said in a moving tribute. 'He was kind, compassionate and generous. A mentor and a student, a friend, brother, son and partner. 'Whether motoring aboard D/V Tenacious, diving into deep and dangerous water, or defending his clients in court, Joe demanded the best of everyone around him. Sometimes he demanded it grumpily – but he always demanded by example. 'He lived every moment fully, without compromise. He did not want to die doing what he loved – none of us do. 'He wanted to survive it, to grow old doing it. But when you live at the edge, sometimes the edge pushes back.' The New Jersey Office of the Public Defender paid tribute to Mazraani in a Facebook post on August 1, writing: 'With deep sadness, we share the loss of Joe Mazraani, beloved partner of Public Defender Sellitti and a cherished member of the legal and diving communities. 'Joe passed on July 29 in a diving-related incident, believed to be caused by a medical emergency.
