To be fair, the season runs from February to October so the savings more than makes sense — though it wouldn't be suprising for a streamer to charge full price no matter the number of matches left. Apple announced the same deal on July 1 last year so, if you regret paying $99, it's a good thing to keep in mind for next year.

Atletico Madrid adds playmaker Álex Baena from Villarreal
MADRID (AP) — Atletico Madrid continued boosting its squad by signing midfielder Álex Baena from Villarreal on Wednesday. The transfer was announced a day after Atletico said it signed 22-year-old Italian left back Matteo Ruggeri from Atalanta. Both have signed five-year contracts. Financial details were not immediately disclosed. The 27-year-old Baena helped Spain win last summer's European Championship and Olympic gold medal. Baena made his Spain senior-team debut in 2023 against Cyprus, scoring with his first touch of the ball two minutes after entering the match. He helped Villarreal win the Europa League in 2021 and spent the following season on loan at Girona. Atletico said Baena 'has great dribbling ability, shooting and vision, and throughout his career has played in every possible position in midfield, especially as a left winger, although he is naturally right-footed.' Atletico has parted ways with some players from last season's squad including Reinildo, Axel Witsel and Cesar Azpilicueta. Atletico Madrid announce new €55m star signing
Atletico Madrid have confirmed the signing of Villarreal playmaker Alex Baena, after terms were agreed on a deal last week. The 23-year-old is set to take on a major role in the playmaking duties at the Metropolitano, after two stellar seasons at the Yellow Submarine. Los Colchoneros have already confirmed permanent signings for previous loanees Clement Lenglet and Juan Musso, who was followed through the door by left-back Matteo Ruggeri. The addition of Baena could shift the needle for Atletico though. Baena fee could rise to €55m The negotiations for Baena have been ongoing since May, with Los Rojiblancos trying to initially reduce the fee by including Rodrigo Riquelme. Baena had a €55m release clause, and Villarreal were willing to accept less, but Atletico could end up paying that if all of the variables are due. Diario AS say that the fixed fee is €42m, with €8m in more achieveable add-ons. The final €5m is much more difficult to secure, and hinges on titles. Villarreal have already wrapped up his replacement in Alberto Moleiro. New creative force in Madrid Over the last two seasons, Baena has 28 assists and 12 goals, making him one of the primary creative forces in Spanish football.
