GSM Arena12-06-2025
The OnePlus Nord 5 is expected to launch in less than a month's time, and we now have a fresh Geekbench listing which reveals it will actually feature a Qualcomm chip instead of the previously rumored MediaTek Dimensity 9400e.
The Nord 5 (CPH2707) from the listing is equipped with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip and is paired with 12GB RAM. The phone managed 1,977 single-core and 5,090 multi-core scores. The device is running Android 15, presumably with OxygenOS 15 on top.

As for the rest of the Nord 5's rumored specs, the device is rumored to bring a 1.5K OLED with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 16MP selfie cam. The device should also feature a 50MP main cam with OIS alongside an 8MP ultrawide lens. We're also hearing talk of a massive 7,000 mAh battery and 100W wired charging.

Weekly poll: do you have a smartwatch or other smart wearable?

The global smartphone market is developing at a healthy pace – it was up 10.5% in Q1 this year compared to the same period last year. In more concrete numbers, 45.6 million units were shipped in the first three months of 2025, of which 34.8 million were smartphones, the other 10.8 million were smart bands. This week we wanted to ask you – do you have a smartwatch or smart band? Let's include smart rings in this too. They are designed to be perfect companions to your smartphone – must-have companions, if marketing is to be believed. There are several distinct categories that can serve different needs. Some are capable enough to replace a phone in many situations, others just serve as a sports/health tracker. Smart wearables come in different shapes and sizes Then again, your smartphone already has a clock and a step counter on it, which is enough for some people. Why spend extra money and get the extra hassle of yet another device that needs charging? Charging is a pain point for wearables. The more capable ones running Google's Wear OS or Apple's watchOS are one camera short of being full smartphones, but they need charging every day or two. Less capable devices still offer plenty of functionality and can last a week – some can go as long as a month. So, first question – do you have a smartwatch and what kind is it? If you don't have a watch yet, are you planning on getting one? Or if you do have one, will you be upgrading it before the end of the year? Leave us a comment with your thoughts on smartwatches, bands and rings below.

Samsung Galaxy S25 FE storage variants and color options revealed

It's almost time for the next-generation Galaxy S Fan Edition phone, so the rumors start flying in. The Galaxy S25 FE is expected to arrive sometime in September, if we go by the Galaxy S24 FE release last year, and we already know what it would look like as well as some key specs. Galaxy S24 FE The latest leak talks about the device's memory and color options. The device will offer the usual 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB storage configurations, which are a bit disappointing given that most competitors in the price bracket offer 256GB base storage. As far as colors go, which are not accompanied by renders, are Navy, Icy Blue, Jet Black and White. We've already seen the Navy, Jet Black and Icy Blue colors on the current Galaxy S lineup, so we have a good idea of what to expect. Also, none of the listed colors is an option on the current Galaxy S24 FE. Source
