OnePlus 13 series update: AI Plus Mind feature for quick content capture and organisation
OnePlus 13 update: OnePlus 13 AI Plus Mind update is rolling out now, bringing a powerful new way to manage on-screen content with intelligent ease on OnePlus. The Plus Mind feature lets users instantly save images, text, social posts, and web pages into a smart hub called Mind Space—capturing key details like dates or event info at a tap or swipe . Over time, AI categorizes, tags, and even prompts context-aware actions, such as adding events to your calendar or summarizing important data. Whether triggered by the new Plus Key or a three-finger gesture, this update elevates OxygenOS from reactive software to a proactive assistant. With Google Gemini integration on the horizon, OnePlus is positioning its flagship series at the forefront of mobile AI innovation. Read on to discover how this update supercharges productivity in daily life. Plus mind feature on OnePlus 13 series The Plus Mind feature may retain data, including photos, texts, social media postings, and even site pages, according to OnePlus' news release. Users of the OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13R can activate this feature by swiping up on their screen with three fingers, as opposed to the OnePlus 13s, which has a dedicated Plus Key for it. After that, it will analyze the data and recommend pertinent actions to the user, including highlighting important dates on the screen and noting them in the Calendar app. In order to analyze the content and perform functions like creating descriptions, translating it into the user's native tongue, marking it for convenient sorting, and offering more information, it makes use of OnePlus AI technology. They can then access the collected data in the Mind Space, a centralized center. The business provided an event poster example. The event date is automatically added to the user's calendar when the Plus Mind feature is activated on the screen. In the meantime, important information is also recorded and added to the Mind Space Center. On a fashion website, the same gesture will, instead, analyze the content and provide a summary of the "looks on display." According to the business, consumers can access the web page using a simple shortcut and remember this information by going to the central hub later. On a fashion website, a three-finger swipe-up will cause Plus Mind to analyze the page and summarize the styles on exhibit. At a later time, a user can revisit this information in their Mind Space and utilize a simple tap to navigate back to the homepage. After the upgrade, the new Mind Space feature is being released on the OnePlus 13 series. It is accessible through the AI Search bar's natural language search or the app drawer. A straightforward swipe-down motion on the home screen activates the latter.

OnePlus' next Nord phone might not pack the chip we were rooting for
OnePlus Nord 4. | Image credit – OnePlus OnePlus is getting ready to launch its next Nord series phones. Yeah, it looks like both the Nord 5 and Nord CE 5 are on track to launch on July 8. But while rumors have been swirling for weeks, a new twist just changed what we thought we knew about the Nord earlier leaks pointing to a MediaTek Dimensity 9400e chip, a fresh Geekbench listing shows the Nord 5 (model CPH2707) running on the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 instead. The device is paired with 12 GB of RAM and scored 1,977 in single-core and 5,090 in multi-core tests. It is also running Android 15, likely with OxygenOS 15 on top. OnePlus Nord 5 CPH2707 spotted with Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor. SpecificationsAndroid 15 Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 Chipset/SoC Adreno 735 GPU3 Cores @ 2.02 GHz4 Cores @ 2.80 GHz1 Core @ 3.01 GHz - 12GB RAM# — Abhishek Yadav (@yabhishekhd) June 11, 2025 Now, I think it is a bit of a letdown that OnePlus didn't go with MediaTek's chip this time. Looking at the benchmarks and specs, the MediaTek Dimensity 9400e clearly pulls ahead in raw CPU and GPU power, plus it is more efficient overall. That said, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 still packs plenty of punch and should deliver a good experience for most users, but it would have been nice to see more power inside the Nord 5. As for the rest of the specs, the Nord 5 is rumored to pack a 1.5K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and an in-display fingerprint sensor. The camera setup is expected to include a 50 MP main sensor and an 8 MP ultra-wide, with a 16 MP selfie camera on the front. Battery life could be a major win here, too. The Nord 5 is said to have a huge 7,000mAh battery and support 100W fast charging. The Nord CE 5, on the other hand, could be sticking with MediaTek. It is expected to feature a Dimensity 8350 chip, 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Like its sibling, it may also come with a 120Hz OLED screen (6.7 inches), the same dual-camera system, and a 16MP selfie cam. And while it is positioned as the more affordable model, its rumored 7,100mAh battery with 80W charging might actually top the Nord 5 in is a big jump compared to other budget phones out now. Devices like the Galaxy A36 5G and Nothing Phone (2a) typically offer 5,000mAh batteries, so OnePlus could be giving users a serious edge here in terms of battery life. And the Nord 5 is shaping up to be a solid pick if you are shopping in the mid-range space. It looks like it could go toe-to-toe with options like the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion – and might even come out ahead in areas like performance, battery life and long-term software support. It also sounds like a great alternative if you are looking to move away from Samsung and try something different than a Galaxy phone without spending a fortune. Compared to the Galaxy A56, for example, the Nord 5 could offer better battery life and faster charging – at least if the current leaks are on point. That said, don't count on both phones being widely available. The Nord CE 5 is likely to remain an India-only release, just like the previous version. The Nord 5 should see a broader rollout, though, with availability expected in the UK and Europe – but probably not the US. Pricing is still unconfirmed, but it could land close to the last generation, meaning around $300 for the CE model and about $450 for the Nord 5, depending on the configuration. We'll know for sure once the launch rolls around next month.
