In the run-up to the much-anticipated Oasis reunion at Cardiff's Principality Stadium, a stroke of luck struck for some fans as they received emails alerting them to snap up last-minute tickets. For those who had endured the gruelling online queues back in August, this was a delightful twist – all the more sweetened by the bargain price of just £35 a ticket.
Cardiff local Kelly Reardon Brown, who had previously spent a fruitless summer day trying to secure tickets, found her fortunes reversed this week. Instead of shelling out the expected £150 per ticket to see Liam and Noel Gallagher reunite on stage, she managed to bag hers for a mere £35.
The only minor hiccup?
The tickets were for seats with a 'restricted view' label, but it turned out to be the best £35 Kelly, a sales director, had splashed out all year, reports Wales Online.

Kelly shared her disbelief: "By that point I'd given up hope. I had been checking the Ticketmaster website but everything was really high priced. I was expecting to pay around £150 a ticket for the area we sat in. I also knew how scarce the tickets are and it was opening night too."
She found herself in block U5, tucked away in the top left corner of the stadium map, on the upper tier, and was astounded by the price.
Kelly recounted her initial confusion: "I genuinely thought I'd messed up at first and had only bought one ticket. (Kelly bought two) When I went back and saw I'd got them for £34.50 each, I thought there had been a mistake.
"I then text a friend who works for the stadium and checked that I didn't have fake tickets! I genuinely couldn't believe it."
Kelly was relieved to find she hadn't been duped, and the U5 experience was "worth every penny.
"The view was brilliant," she continued. "You could see the entire stage from side on and you even got to see backstage too when they were walking in which brilliant as they (Noel and Liam) turned to us and clapped when we all cheered.

"The screen was bent backwards so we had view of half of the screen. There was plenty of space too for us to dance. Great seats."
Reflecting on the event, Kelly wished she had purchased more tickets to invite additional friends, but she feared they might sell out if she attempted to go through the buying process again. "Absolutely worth every penny. I can't believe I got to see Oasis on the history making opening night for £34.50! Im so lucky!".
At the inaugural concert on 4 July, lead singer Liam Gallagher commented on the ticket fiasco. Speaking to the audience, he queried: "You all having a good time, yeah?".
He then quipped: "Was it worth the £40,000 you paid for a ticket?".
The tickets for the highly anticipated Oasis reunion flew off the virtual shelves earlier this year, selling out at all venues due to overwhelming demand.
Nevertheless, there are still a few avenues open for fans hoping to catch the band at the last minute.
Limited last-minute tickets can be purchased from the official Ticketmaster resale site, where fans unable to attend can sell their seats, although these tend to fluctuate in availability.
Meanwhile, resale platforms like Viagogo, Vivid Seats, StubHub, and Twickets are offering tickets for various dates starting at £121, but fans should always remember that many official sites, such as Ticketmaster and Live Nation, advise against buying resale tickets.

BBC presenter announces death of beloved dad in heartbreaking tribute

Nina Warhurst, who presents the BBC News at One each day, has announced the death of her dad in an emotional tribute, highlighting his battle with dementia. BBC presenter Nina Warhurst has opened up about the heartbreaking loss of her dad, revealing his struggle with dementia. The 44-year-old journalist, who presents BBC's News at One live, took to Instagram on Sunday, July 6, to share the sad news. In an emotional tribute, she shared their final moments together with her 46.7k followers. She posted a touching black and white photo of her holding her dad's hand, reports the Mirror. ‌ "My Dad died on Wednesday night," she penned. "From Sunday me, my Mum and sisters spent precious time with him around the crying, laughing, sharing memories. ‌ "On his last day we had nursing home afternoon tea, chippy chips and wine together. He drifted away gently with me and Amy holding him and telling him to "go head. We'll see you there soon. And he did. I had my hand on his heart as the ripples softened and stopped. "A gentle end to a gentle life. So much love and laughter and sunshine across days I'll never forget." Nina continued: "He is in my mind all the time now as we adjust to a world without him in it. I can't quite accept that's real yet. But we think it's really important for anyone going through this to know that the end can be peaceful and beautiful. "Kim, Daniel, Anna, Moody, Charlotte, Clara, Eddie, Obi, Sarah, Kat, Michael, Colin, Dorothy, Helen, Gracie and all the care home staff and residents who welcomed us in to their world and made it our home for those days and nights we can't thank you enough." Nina's heartfelt post sparked an overwhelming outpouring of love and support from her fans, friends, and family in the comments. Her sister Amy replied: "It was beautiful. Aren't we lucky? Love you Nines x." ‌ One follower shared their own experience, saying: "Nina, I'm so sorry. My mum had Alzheimer's and died in similar circumstances with us all around her. He will always be with you. I will never forget the kindness of the care home staff to the whole family, looking after all of us throughout my mum's illness. They really do not get enough credit for what they do. Take care of yourself and your family." Another offered condolences: "Oh Nina I'm so sorry for your loss. You gave him a beautiful send off and were with him as he passed and that means so much. Thinking of you and all the family so much xxx." ‌ In a candid chat last year, Nina alongside sisters Amy and Mel admitted they were still coming to terms with the toll it had taken on their dad in such a short window of time. Taking to Instagram last year, Nina admitted she was devastated after her dad failed to recognise her. Sharing a photo of herself and Chris, she wrote: "My Dad. I missed him so much this week. Dementia means he's here, but not here. Today was the first time he couldn't quite place me. ‌ "Then he got out a new glasses case. He was clearly chuffed with it but knew it was funny to be chuffed with a new glasses case. In some ways, he taught me to laugh. Properly from the tummy. And to laugh at myself." She added: "We're all holding on to those deep-rooted connections for as long as we can. Dementia isn't the end. It's the start of a new chapter. "So much respect for his key worker today who told me that it's all about cherishing those connections, instead of missing the ones we've lost. The staff are superstars and it means the world."

Antiques Roadshow guest warned to tell 'the truth' about 'Kennedy dead' poster that nearly went in the bin

An Antiques Roadshow guest was warned to 'tell the truth' about their 'Kennedy dead' poster that nearly went in the bin. A previous episode of the BBC show, which was filmed at Roundhay Park in Leeds, saw a couple ask for advice from expert Clive Farahar about their newspaper post from the 60s. The married couple brought forward a poster that said 'Kennedy dead' with 'Evening Standard' underneath it - rereferring to John F Kennedy's death in 1963. Clive was interested to know how they got their hands on it and the man explained that his parents had some utility furniture while growing up in London back in the 50s. The expert explained that utility meant that it was items made during the war, to which the man continued: 'And one of the items was a sideboard which I inherited... 'Earlier this year, we needed some space in the garage...' In a previous episode of the BBC show, which was filmed at Roundhay Park in Leeds, saw a couple ask for advice from expert Clive Farahar (pictured) about their newspaper post from the 60s But before he could finish his sentence his wife brutally said: 'The truth?!' She continued to tell her side of the story: 'I decided the garage was a tip. And we needed to tidy it up. 'And he said the sideboard was just full of old paintings and you know, the sort of stuff you keep.' And her husband confessed that they came across the poster, which was 'probably laying there for 60-odd years.' Clive confessed: 'As far as poster art is concerned, it is so stark isn't it? 'As a piece of poster, it's hard to think of it being valuable...' 'That nearly went in the recycling bin,' the woman confessed. And a shocked Clive replied: 'No you didn't?!' and she told him: 'You [her husband] came out the garage and went "Ooh look at this! This is really..." and I went "Put it in the recycling bin!"' Clive then told the couple what the piece of paper was worth. 'I'm going to put £1,000 on this,' he told them. 'You nearly got rid of it! You nearly dismantled it,' he added. The pair were over the moon with the news and said: 'Wow.' It comes after an Antiques Roadshow guest's jaw dropped as they learned the whopping value of a Rolex watch that they bought for just £200. In a recent episode of the BBC show, which originally aired in 2022, a number of guests travelled to Woodhorn Museum in Northumberland to get their special items looked at. One man brought along a watch for expert Richard Price to look at. Richard told the guest: 'So, Rolex collectors obviously know what this is and this is a Rolex Oyster GMT Master. 'And they refer to everything by the reference number. In this case, it is the reference 1675. 'It's also here on the bill of sale which I see is from a Hong Kong retailer in the early part of 1971. 'It's obviously not bought by you so who bought it in 1971?' And the man explained how he got his hands on it and said: 'It was basically a gift to my dad and about give years ago, he passed it to me for inheritance. 'He's still alive, but he just thought give it to me to see what to do with it and it's been in a drawer ever since!' Richard then shared the history of the watch, explaining that the airline history in the 40s and 50s made longer trips, and pilots flew on GMT. Pan American Airways has a discussion with Rolex to develop a watch with an extra hand to set it to GMT - it was developed for the airline in 1954. The watch became the standard GMT master. 'What is so lovely about this is that you have got all the paper work,' Richard said. 'What is so lovely about this is that you have got all the paper work,' Richard said (pictured the watch and its paper work) He pointed out that the bezel was original, but the value may have been reduced if it wasn't, but the bracelet wasn't the original. The expert pointed out that he thought it was purchased for £200, and then went on to say how much he think it is now. Richard said: 'That £200 50 years ago has actually done quite well. 'If it had the original bracelet with the full set, we could have put two noughts on and made it £20,000. 'But it's not got the original bracelet. 'So I'm going to take it back to in this condition, around £14,000.' The guest was lost for words and said: 'What?! Woah! No way.' Richard asked: 'You happy?' 'Yeah!' the guest replied. 'I didn't expect that at all.

Oasis fan shows off huge reunion tattoo 12 hours after they came off stage

One Oasis fan went to extreme measures to become what he hopes is the first person to get a tattoo of the reunion tour after selecting a legendary first night image from Cardiff An Oasis mega fan wasted no time getting the tattoo of his dreams - hours after an iconic photo of the band's comeback was taken. The diehard was so desperate to mark the reunion that he had booked in to get inked the morning after their first performance in Cardiff. It is understood to be the first Oasis tour tattoo and the fan, identified only as Wayne, was determined to make his choice something special. ‌ Picking the moment once-warring bothers Liam and Noel Gallagher embraced in front of the crowd on opening night, a photo of the cuddle was swiftly transformed into a leg tattoo. Artist Alfie Ware showed off his incredible work on his Instagram page, and it's fair to say it went down a storm. ‌ "Wrapped up the last piece of Wayne's Oasis leg sleeve this morning, this shot's from their first gig back together last night," he wrote on his page, which displays some of the tats undertaken at Studio S2 in Alvechurch, Worcestershire. "Probably the first to get this photo tattooed as we started it 12 hours after it was taken. Was an absolute pleasure." Alfie's followers were understandably impressed by his attention to detail, and the image Wayne had selected. "That was so quick!" one told him. Another of the group's fans put: "Would get that exact sleeve myself!" Everyone concerned hopes the ink stands the test of time - and there's no big sibling fall out. When Liam and Noel took to the stage in Cardiff walking out hand in hand, it was a sight many of their original fans thought they would never see in their lifetime - so in order to maintain their amicable reunion, it has emerged that the brothers were advised to stay in separate hotels for the first gig of their world tour, in a desperate bid to avoid a clash. The brothers, who are famed for their volatile relationship, were placed in hotels half an hour away from each other. According to The Sun on Sunday, the famous duo skipped partying after their first night in the Welsh city and were driven away from the Principality Stadium at approximately 10.30pm. A source told the publication: "The atmosphere was absolutely electric and Liam and Noel were delighted with the first night. They were a bit shell-shocked." ‌ They added: "It went better than anyone could have imagined. The lead up has all been carefully orchestrated, as everyone knows how delicate and fragile Liam and Noel's relationship is." The insider close to the band continued: "They don't want to over-expose themselves to each other. Having separate residences is the best option so they can relax in their own space." They explained: "They stayed in separate locations outside the city around half an hour away from each other." "They're happy families at the moment and they want to keep it that way. Liam has been off the booze for a while and sounds better than ever," they added. According to the source, Liam is determined to get eight hours sleep a night and is steering clear of alcohol and partying. ‌ Fans were left in awe as the band, who were once synonymous with the stereotypical rock and roll lifestyle, belted out their iconic hits including Wonderwall, Stand By Me, Live Forever and Half The World Away. And it seems a contributing factor in Liam's clean living lifestyle is his partner Debbie Gwyther. Get Oasis updates straight to your WhatsApp! As the hotly anticipated Oasis reunion tour grows closer, the Mirror has launched its very own Oasis WhatsApp community where you'll get all the latest news on the Gallagher brothers and all the information you'll need in the run up to the gigs. The source continued: "Debbie protects him from all the hype so he doesn't get carried away. They've swapped out Guinness for zero per cent alcohol beers and keep the vibe backstage as chilled as possible." Partying in the crows were Noel's daughter Anais, 25 and her mum Meg Matthews, 59. Liam's sons Lennon, 25 and Gene, 24, were also at Friday's gig. It has been reported that the Cardiff gig was emotional for their children who never thought the day would arrive when they would see their dad on stage as Oasis. And Anais was reportedly a "driving force in helping to reunite the brothers who at the time showed no intention of making the peace.
