
DOH on Code White Alert due to Crising
The Code White Alert was issued on Friday night as part of the department's preparations for Crising.
"Sa ilalim ng Code White Alert, inihahanda ng DOH OpCen ang mga gamot, medical equipment, at Health Emergency Response Teams para sa mga rehiyon na tinatayang maapektuhan ng bagyo," the DOH said.
(Under a Code White Alert, the DOH is preparing the medicines, medical equipment, and Health Emergency Response Teams for regions that may be affected by the storm.)
"Nakaantabay naman ang National Emergency Hotline 911 at local emergency hotlines para sa mga mangangailangan ng tulong," it added.

Five areas were placed under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 2 on Saturday morning as Tropical Storm Crising brings rains on its way to leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility, PAGASA said in its 5 a.m. Saturday bulletin.
These five areas are Batanes; the northern portion of Cagayan (Santa Praxedes, Claveria, Sanchez-Mira, Pamplona, Abulug, Ballesteros, Santa Ana, Gonzaga, Santa Teresita, Buguey, Aparri, Camalaniugan, Allacapan, Lal-Lo, Lasam, Rizal, Santo Niño, Gattaran, Alcala) including Babuyan Islands; Ilocos Norte; the northern and central portions of Apayao (Calanasan, Luna, Pudtol, Kabugao, Flora, Santa Marcela); and the northeastern portion of Abra (Tineg, Lagayan)
Crising brought heavy rains and caused flooding and evacuations in many areas overnight. Two people were also reported missing, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).
A total of 1,875 individuals were stranded in various ports from 12 a.m. to 4 a.m. on Saturday, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) said.
The PCG also said 81 vessels, 37 motorbancas, and 591 rolling cargoes were stranded. Those taking shelter meanwhile, were 57 vessels and 106 motorbancas, it added. —KG, GMA Integrated News

25 reported dead due to Crising, Dante, Emong, Habagat
The reported death toll due to Tropical Cyclones Crising, Dante, Emong and the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat has increased to 25 as of Friday morning. In its 6 a.m. report, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said nine of these fatalities were reported in Metro Manila. Three deaths were reported each in Calabarzon, Western Visayas, Negros Island Region, and Northern Mindanao. One death was reported in each of Central Luzon, Mimaropa, Davao Region, and Caraga. According to the NDRRMC, only three of the reported deaths have been confirmed so far: Barangay Bayugo, Meycauayan, Bulacan - victim died due to electrocution. Barangay Poblacion, Mambajao, Camiguin - victim hit by a falling tree. Water service is now operational in three of four affected areas. Meanwhile, communications lines are back in 28 of 289 affected areas. Classes in 1,043 areas and work schedules in 848 areas were suspended due to the threat of the bad weather. State of Calamity A state of calamity was declared in 84 cities and municipalities. Caloocan and Marilao, Bulacan placed under state of calamity
The local government units (LGUs) of Caloocan City and Marilao, Bulacan declared a state of calamity on Thursday due to the impact of the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) and tropical cyclones Crising, Dante, and Emong. In their respective social media posts, the Caloocan and Marilao LGUs said their decision was based on the assessed damage and number of affected residents in their locality. With the declaration of a state of calamity, the LGUs said they can promptly respond and give aid to affected residents. Aside from the two LGUs, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said 40 areas are under a state of calamity. GMA Integrated News' Saksi on Wednesday also reported nine other areas under a state of calamity. A total of 2,733,646 people or 765,869 families have been affected by the bad weather in all regions except Eastern Visayas, According to the NDRRMC. The death toll due to Crising, Dante, Emong, and Habagat is now 12. According to PAGASA's 8 p.m. bulletin, four areas are under Signal 4 as Typhoon Emong near landfall over western Pangasinan.
