Samuel Goldwyn Films has released a trailer for an upcoming film titled Forgive Us All, a post-apocalyptic neo-western cannibal thriller.
This is the story of "redemption in a world gone dark." The New Zealand film 'imagines a fallen world where trust is dead, the forest is crawling with cannibals, and your only hope might just be a complete stranger.'
Lily Sullivan plays 'a lone survivor holed up in a remote mountain cabin, clinging to her own solitude as the world outside descends into blood-soaked chaos. But her fragile sanctuary is shattered when a mysterious man (Lance Giles) stumbles upon her doorstep—pursued by a ruthless, authoritarian gang of outlaws.
'As the unlikely duo must choose between hiding or hacking their way through a forest teeming with flesh-eating infected, the film asks: how much humanity can you keep when the world has lost its own?'
There's a virus that turned humans into cannibals known as Howlers. It looks like it might be a decent movie worth checking out if you're into these kinds of stories.
Forgive Us All is directed by Jordana Stott, and it will be released direct-to-VOD on July 11th, 2025.

Trailer For The Danish Sci-Fi Thriller ETERNAL About a Dangerous Climate Change Phenomenon — GeekTyrant

Dark Star Pictures has released the trailer for a Danish sci-fi thriller titled Eternal , which is another one of these films influenced by climate change, and the story seems to focus on guilt and how to live on when you know the world is collapsing. In the film, 'Young climate change scientist Elias (Simon Sears) falls in love with an aspiring singer, Anita (Nanna Øland Fabricius - aka "Oh Land"). But when an opportunity arises for him to join a mission researching a dangerous climate change phenomenon—a mysterious fracture on the ocean floor—he chooses career over love. 'Years later, during his mission, he experiences a vision of what his life could have been like if he made a different choice—and soon Elias becomes obsessed with having what could've been.' The movie was written and directed by Danish filmmaker Ulaa Salim, and it looks like he's made an intimate movie about love and family. The film is now streaming on VOD.
