Jenna Bush Hager Gushes About Husband Henry's Support in Her Career

Yahoo13-05-2025
Just last month, Jenna Bush Hager gave fans a glimpse into her home life when her husband, Henry Hager, joined her as Today Show co-host following Hoda Kotb's exit. While he was nervous at first, chatting with his wife soon calmed the jitters, and fans loved getting to know behind-the-scenes stories of dating during her years in the White House, parenting their three kids, and more.
Speaking to SheKnows about their connection at the IT Cosmetics launch of the Do It All Radiant Concealer on April 22, Jenna gushed that her husband is one of the biggest reasons that she – you guessed it – does it all.

'My husband helps me do it all,' she tells SheKnows. 'I mean, we moved to New York because I got a job. He moved for me because he believed in me. And so he, you know, is my partner in everything.'
Jenna and Henry got married in May 2008 after four years together. They share kids Mila, born in 2013, Poppy, born in 2015, and Hal, born in 2019.
'I think the days of women doing it all, and the men doing nothing are done,' she says. 'So find somebody that's going to do it all with you, because having a team member, a teammate, is really important.'
'Obviously, he would be the first to say, 'Oh my gosh, you signed the kids up for all this stuff,' 'You do all of this,'' Jenna adds. 'But I couldn't do any of it, really, without him.'
While Henry's support certainly helps, there's one key principle Jenna follows to continue her roles as a mom, wife, TV host, book club leader, and so on.
'I feel like I do it all and kind of a wild, frenetic, messy way,' she says. 'I think when all women wear a lot of different hats, and we're constantly shuffling and reorganizing, and there's so much going on in our brains, and so I try to do it all without putting pressure on myself, being full of grace to myself as I would be to my best friends, which isn't always easy.'
'Even on the way here, I called my kids and they were like, 'What, you might be home after bedtime?' And the truth is, that's what all women are doing every single day,' she says. 'So I think I try to do it all with grace to myself, which means not putting pressure to do it all perfectly.'
It also helps to have a handy concealer, like the IT Cosmetics Do It All Radiant Concealer, to hide anything that needs hiding, too. 'I like things that are like, especially on the weekends with my kids, super simple, super clean,' she says. 'You put on one product and you go, which is one of the reasons why I'm obsessed with this product.'
Coming up for Jenna is Mother's Day next month, which will also coincide with Henry's 47th birthday and their anniversary (both on May 10th). 'There's a lot to celebrate, and sometimes his birthday gets the shaft, and sometimes my mother's day gets the shaft,' she laughs. 'But I like just hanging with the kids.'
'I don't have a wish list, and I do need to send something to my mom, but I just got to see her,' she recalls. On April 7, Jenna shared a sweet shot on Instagram of her having dinner with her sister, Barbara Bush, her mom, Laura Bush, and her dad, former president George W. Bush.
'We went to dinner with my sister, my mom, my dad and me, and because I've been married since I was a child bride,' she jokes. 'And my sister is married and I have three kids, that doesn't happen very often, and so that was so, so nice,' she says. 'I mean, it's really just, I want time, you know?'
With a sweet and supportive family like Jenna's, we'd also be wishing for more time!Best of SheKnows

Richard Simmons' longtime housekeeper denies ‘kidnapping' him, says he was happy in final years

Richard Simmons' longtime housekeeper and companion Teresa Reveles is speaking out about the late fitness guru's final years. In a candid conversation – her first broadcast interview – Reveles told the "Today" show about the unique nature of their relationship, and claimed that he was incredibly happy in the years before his death on July 13, 2024. She began working for Simmons decades ago, in 1988, and while some rumors have claimed that she was to blame for his disappearance from the spotlight in his later years, she denied it. When host Liz Kreutz asked about speculation that she'd "kidnapped" him, she laughed and replied, "No, I think he kidnapped me!" While she said their relationship wasn't sexual, she did admit they were very close. "He (fell) in love with me right away, that he says, 'No, you're never going to leave me,'" she explained. She said that to her, he was "like a brother … like my father, my friend, my boyfriend, my everything." Reveles insisted that she and Simmons weren't romantic partners, and said that if anyone was confused by the unconventional relationship she shared with him, "It's their problem. We were very happy, and the last ten years was the most happy years." When asked about Simmons' sexual orientation, which he never publicly disclosed, she refused to answer, but when she was asked if she ever knew about any romantic partners he had, she said, "Me. He never love anybody like me." She added, "Well, he wasn't my lover, not sexually, but he kissed me all the time." As for how secluded Simmons became in the years leading up to his death, she said, "He was not happy that he was getting old, OK? He says, 'No, I want people to remember me the way I was.' You know … full of life." Reveles was the one who found Simmons after he died. She said that was a "crazy, sad day," but that he had been "very, very happy." "I never saw Richard, in 36 years, unhappy, or mean, or upset," she said. In a message to Fox News Digital, Tom Estey, Simmons' longtime friend, said, "Let's CELEBRATE Richard - the human being. It's nearly his Birthday. I worked with him for 30 plus years, and more importantly, we were close friends even longer. I choose to celebrate these milestones." On July 11, 2024, Simmons suffered a fall and spent the following day in bed. On the morning of July 13, Simmons was found unresponsive on his bedroom floor. Authorities were called, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. The fitness instructor and TV icon died as a result of blunt traumatic injuries, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's Office announced two months later. The 76-year-old's manner of death was ruled as an accident. Arteriosclerotic cardiovascular was listed as a contributing factor. At the time, Reveles told People, "When I saw him, he looked peaceful." She said that when she found him, his hands were balled into fists, and explained, "That's why I know it was a heart attack. I had a heart attack a few years ago, and my hands did the same." The day before he died, Reveles said Simmons' leg was hurting from a fall the previous day. Simmons passed away one day after his birthday, July 12. She told him, "Let's go to the hospital. Maybe you broke your leg." Simmons protested, "No, Teresa, not on my birthday. Why [don't we] wait, and we do it in the morning?" "But in the morning, it was too late," Reveles said. Los Angeles Police Department officials confirmed to Fox News Digital at the time that there was "no foul play" suspected in his death.

Jennifer Lopez's 'Vulnerable' New Song Might Be Filled With Jabs at Ex Ben Affleck

In 2024, Jennifer Lopez went through a lot. Not only did she release a series of projects, including a new album, movie, and behind-the-scenes documentary, but she also filed for divorce from her ex, Ben Affleck, after two years of marriage. Now, she's starting a whole new era. During her first show in her Up All Night tour, which got started yesterday on July 8 in Vigo, Spain, Lopez debuted an emotional new ballad. 'This is a new song that I'm gonna sing for the first time tonight that came to me when I was up all night one night,' Lopez said in a video posted by a fan in the audience. More from SheKnows Kelly Clarkson Reportedly 'Lost the Respect' of Her Staff With Her Latest Career Move Wearing a skin-tight beaded red jumpsuit, Lopez sang about being thankful after healing over a broken heart. 'Thank you for the scars you left on my heart / Was showing me that stars shine brighter in the dark / I won't fall apart because of who we are / But your broken parts,' she sings. Are you listening to the jabs at Affleck and his 'broken parts'? We certainly are! The chorus of the song, titled 'Wreckage of You,' is all about feeling better after leaving a relationship. 'Because of you, I am stronger, wiser / Better than I've ever been,' she sings. 'I won't let you no longer, longer / Ever say goodbye to me / It was perfect while you made me believe / Really got only greater for me / And it made me stronger, stronger, bulletproof / Now watch me climb out of the wreckage of you.' In the comment section, fans are already praising Lopez for her vulnerability. 'So beautiful and vulnerable! This may be her best ballad to date! ❤️' wrote one commenter. 'What a beautiful song❤️ I'm so happy you uploaded it ❤️ I'm crying 😢,' echoed another. Safe to say the emotional lyrics touched her fans, whether it's because they've gone through a tough breakup themselves, or their hearts just go out to Lopez during this tough time. As a reminder, Lopez filed for divorce from Affleck on August 20, 2024. They had gotten married two years prior in their July 17, 2022 elopement in Las Vegas. Prior to that, Lopez and Affleck dated for the first time in 2002, got engaged later that year, but called off their wedding in 2003. They went on to reconcile in 2021. Regardless of how everything went down between them, it seems Lopez wants everyone to know she's 'better than I've ever been.' '80s Music Icon, 75, Calls Out Craig Melvin for Yawning During 'Today' Interview

'80s Music Icon, 75, Calls Out Craig Melvin for Yawning During 'Today' Interview originally appeared on Parade. '80s music icon Rick Springfield jokingly called out Craig Melvin for yawning when he was interviewing him on the Today Show. During the Thursday, July 10, episode of the 3rd Hour of Today, Springfield, 75, caught Melvin, 46, yawning and made light of the situation. The 'Jessie's Girl" singer paused briefly before he asked Melvin, 'Am I boring you?' Melvin, alongside co-hosts Al Roker and Jill Martin, all laughed in response to Springfield's comment. Meanwhile, Melvin cleared the air as he replied, 'Not at all, Rick. I apologize.' Springfield then tried to make Melvin feel better by saying, 'It's early. Don't worry about it. I'll yawn too.' However, Melvin attempted to cover his up yawn by stating it "was a cough" instead. Springfield proved the joke was all in good fun and continued to crack jokes throughout the interview. He quickly captured the hearts of the co-hosts with his humor, while Roker, 70, even said, 'I like this guy!' The "Speak to the Sky" singer has been releasing music since the late '60s, and he's continued to remain in the spotlight amid the release of his 2023 albums Springfield and Automatic. Parade Daily🎬 SIGN UP for Parade's Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox 🎬 In 2023, Springfield opened up about how he stays in shape in order to keep performing in concerts. "I'm conscious of what I eat and I work out every day. I recently got a trainer. If I'm healthy, I'll enjoy doing what I'm doing. I learned from my dad because he died early (in 1981) and it was diet-related," he told USA Today at the time. "His heart stopped when he was 51 and they brought him back and he had brain damage and he died 10 years later. That hit me really hard and I started focusing on health. I didn't realize it was a reaction to him, and it's a habit now. I hate being sick. I want to stay active, even though I can't kick as high as I used to." While Springfield has worked hard to stay in shape, he revealed in March that he had brain damage from an onstage fall that took place 25 years earlier.
