‘General Hospital' Bids Farewell To Sofia Mattsson After 7 Years
In the July 18 installment, Sasha and her baby Daisy exit Port Charles safely with the help of Steve Burton's Jason Morgan, as she moves back in with her parents Holly Sutton (Emma Samms) and Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) in Paris, France. Before Jason docks back in the U.S., he reminds Sasha that she will 'always have a home to come back to,' leaving the door open for potential reprisals of the character in the future.

'General Hospital' Star Tristan Rogers Diagnosed With Cancer; "He Remains Hopeful," Says Rep
'There was a good time in the storyline for Sofia to leave to pursue other opportunities in film and TV,' a representative for the soap told TVInsider yesterday. 'But she is open for a return in the future.'
Meanwhile, executive producer Frank Valentini added: 'I love Sofia, she is a great actress and a dear friend. We will miss her, but we wish her the best in all of her future endeavors.'
The actress told the outlet in a Q&A published yesterday that the last day of filming 'was emotional for sure. Cleaning out my room and knowing that I wouldn't see all my friends there like usual every other day felt sad. But everyone was so supportive and excited for me.'
She added of the 'bittersweet' farewell: 'I've had such a great time, but I'm also excited for a new chapter and to continue my acting journey in new projects.'
Noting that she is 'definitely not opposed to coming back to the soap world,' Mattsson teased that she has 'some exciting new projects in the works, so I hope to see everyone through another screen soon!'
Outside of the over 500 installments of GH she's been in, Mattsson has also appeared in episodes of NCIS and Two and a Half Men.

Jennifer Lopez laughs off wardrobe malfunction after losing her skirt onstage: 'I'm glad I had underwear on'
The pop star is currently headlining her Up All Night Tour. Jennifer Lopez handled a wardrobe malfunction mid-concert like a pro after her shimmering gold skirt ended up "On the Floor." While ringing in her 56th birthday at a concert stop in Warsaw, Poland, on July 24, Jenny from the block let out a yelp after her skirt dropped to the floor during a crowd rendition of "Happy Birthday." Promptly after the mishap, the pop star smiled and strutted around the stage. "I'm out here in my underwear," she said. Lopez then tossed the skirt into the audience. "I'm glad I had underwear on," she said at the end of the song. "I don't usually wear underwear." Then, later, to the fan who caught the garment: "Yes! You can keep it. You can have it. I don't want it back." The moment unfolds around the two minute mark of the video above. The show, held at PGE Narodow, is part of Lopez's ongoing Up All Night Live Tour, launched on July 8 in Spain, and her first in six years. She originally planned to return to the stage with the This Is Me ... Live Tour last summer, but canceled the run amid reports of low ticket sales and separation from Ben Affleck. The former couple's divorce was finalized earlier this year. "I was so devastated to let anybody down, but I just needed to be with my kids and myself and really dig down deep into things that were happening in my life," she told Nikki Glaser for Interview Magazine. "And I'm glad I did, because it was a really difficult time for me. Probably the hardest time of my life, but it was also the best time because I got to do that work on myself.""I have the most understanding and loving fans in the world," Lopez added. "Some fan bases can be spicy. Mine are just a bunch of lovers." The 19-date Up All Night Tour will span Europe, the Middle East, and Central Asia, concluding Aug. 10 in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Lopez is also set to return to the big screen with Bill Condon's Kiss of the Spider Woman, in theaters Oct. 10. The musical drama, about two prisoners who form an unlikely bond over a Hollywood musical, is based on the novel by Manuel Puig and has notably also been adapted into a 1985 film with William Hurt and a 1993 Broadway musical. Generate Key Takeaways Geezer Butler, the founding bassist of Black Sabbath, revealed how the band's final concert came together weeks before Ozzy Osbourne's death. In a tribute written for the Times of London, Butler said he was initially taken aback by Osbourne's appearance when the band came in for rehearsals. 'I knew he wasn't in good health, but I wasn't prepared to see how frail he was,' Butler shared, in an otherwise glowing tribute to his longtime bandmate. 'He was helped into the rehearsal room by two helpers and a nurse and was using a cane — being Ozzy, the cane was black and studded with gold and precious stones.' Butler said that Osbournce became exhausted 'after six or seven songs' and was 'really quiet compared to the Ozzy of old.' The concert on July 5 was still a massive success, with bands indebted to Sabbath performing before a double set of Osbourne's solo material and Black Sabbath's biggest hits. Osbourne died on July 22, after a years-long battle with Parkinson's disease. Butler shared his appreciation that he got to play one last time with a nearly lifelong friend. 'Nobody knew he'd be gone from us little more than two weeks after the final show. But I am so grateful we got to play one last time together in front of his beloved fans. The love from the fans and all the bands, musicians, singers and solo artists that night was incredible,' he wrote. 'Everyone had come to pay homage to the Prince. I am so privileged to have spent most of my life with him.' The post Osbourne's Black Sabbath bandmate 'wasn't prepared' for how frail he appeared before final show appeared first on
