16 And Pregnant star Whitney Purvis missed funeral of her teen son after ‘showing up when the service had started'
She had him with then-boyfriend Weston Gosa during season 1 of the MTV reality TV show, in an on-off relationship in which they also had a younger son River, now 11.
A source said she was turned away from the service at a Georgia funeral home on Saturday after being told by Sosa it would begin at 4pm, but it had already started at 2pm.
The contact told TMZ when Whitney arrived she was told the service had already started, and she wasn't on the guest list.
She was reportedly told leave the premises by funeral home staff, and no one from her side of the family was allowed in.
But Gosa disputed this account, and told TMZ he told everyone including Whitney the viewing was at 2pm and the service at 4pm.
He claimed he'd called Whitney to invite her, but said the event was tightly controlled with a rigid guest list.
Gosa said Whitney arrived after 4.15pm when the service was underway and the doors were locked. He claimed the funeral director told her she was too late, which sparked a huge row.
He said Whitney began messaging him around 5.10pm and called him 'evil' for keeping her out. He denied she wasn't invited and claimed her mom, aunt, and uncle did attend.
Weston Sr added that on compassionate grounds, he and Weston Jr's stepmom Amy had purchased a separate urn of the boy's ashes for Whitney to keep.
Whitney revealed his death in a Facebook post on June 2, and wrote: 'This is so hard to write. My beautiful son, Weston has passed away. He was only 16 years old. Life is so cruel and unfair. I just don't understand.'
Amy Gosa shared the same day that 'we got up this morning around 7am and tried to wake him up, he was not breathing,' noting he 'had several health issues as well as diabetes.'
Weston Sr has since revealed the boy died of natural causes, according to his death certificate.
Whitney added in another post: 'Rest in Peace, my baby Weston. I love you forever, precious. I'll never understand why life has to be so cruel. You'll always be my baby.'
'This is so hard to write. My beautiful son, Weston has passed away. He was only 16 years old. Life is so cruel and unfair. I just don't understand,' she said
Weston was born during the first season of MTV's 16 and Pregnant, to Whitney's boyfriend at the time, Weston Lewis Gosa.
While the show ultimately spawned MTV's Teen Mom franchise, Whitney was one of just two moms not picked to appear in that show, along with Ebony Jackson.
Weston Owen Gosa Jr. was born April 2, 2009, with Whitney giving birth to their second son River in 2014, just before they split up again.
Whitney ultimately lost custody of both sons to Weston Sr., and she was arrested last year for failing to make child support payments.
Weston Sr. has been arrested multiple times as well for driving on a suspended license, while both Whitney and Weston Sr. were arrested for smashing electronics in 2012.

Warner Bros to get studio business after split, Discovery to house news, sports brands
July 28 (Reuters) - Warner Bros Discovery (WBD.O), opens new tab said the two companies created by the separation of its studio, streaming and cable TV units would be named Warner Bros and Discovery Global, unwinding a merger in less than four years due to seismic shifts in the entertainment industry. Warner Bros will house the crown jewels of WBD's entertainment library, including Warner Bros and DC Studios as well as the HBO Max streaming service, the company said in a statement. The global networks division will include its cable networks, CNN and TNT Sports as well as the Discovery+ streaming service, which will be called Discovery Global. The split, which would create two publicly traded companies, was announced in June and is expected to be completed by demerges WarnerMedia and Discovery, with an aim to grow the streaming and studios business without the drag of the declining networks unit. Like other entertainment companies, WBD is struggling with declining ratings and revenue at its cable networks. Consumers have been dropping pay-television subscriptions in favor of streaming services. The breakup is the latest unraveling of decades of media consolidation that created global conglomerates spanning content creation, distribution and in some cases, telecommunications. Comcast (CMCSA.O), opens new tab is spinning off most of its NBCUniversal cable networks portfolio into a separate company, Versant. Lionsgate Entertainment (LION.N), opens new tab completed the separation of its Starz cable network from its film and television studio in May.

Meghan Markle fans question her absence from Beyonce's Cowboy Carter concert attended by her famous friends
Fans have been questioning Meghan Markle 's absence after a slew of her celebrity pals jetted off to Las Vegas together to watch Beyoncé perform during the final show of her acclaimed Cowboy Carter tour. Beyoncé concluded her tour in Las Vegas on Saturday night, and a whole host of A-listers were in the audience supporting her. Oprah Winfrey, Tyler Perry, Kris Jenner, Corey Gamble, Khloe Kardashian, Gayle King, and Kerry Washington all attended the hotly-anticipated concert. The stars watched side by side from the VIP section and shared a handful of images together throughout the night. But numerous social media followers were quick to notice that many of the famous faces in attendance at the show are deemed to be part of Meghan's 'Montecito squad,' and began to wonder why she wasn't there with them. After Gayle posted pictures alongside a group of stars at the concert, numerous fans rushed to the comment section to ask, 'Where's Meghan?' 'And no Meghan Markle? I hear plates shattering in Montecito,' joked someone else. 'Where's your other bestie Meghan Markle?' wondered another person. Meghan previously attended Beyoncé's concert in Los Angeles with husband Prince Harry, where they danced the night away together - so she's definitely a Beyoncé fan. The former royal also appears to be close with almost everyone who attended the final show. She has had a longtime friendship with Oprah, who lives near her in Montecito, California, and Gayle was also at her royal wedding to Harry back in 2018. In addition, she and Harry famously stayed in Tyler's Los Angeles home when they first came to America after leaving the UK before buying their mansion. Meghan has been close with Kerry for years and was by her side when she celebrated her birthday in February. And while she was never seen publicly hanging out with Kris, they seem to be pals as Meghan sent the momager her American Riviera Orchard Jam back in 2024 amid the launch of her lifestyle range that has since been rebranded as As Ever. Daily Mail has reached out to Meghan's representatives for comment. Last month, Beyoncé's mom Tina Knowles appeared on Meghan's Confessions of a Female Founder podcast - but Tina was accused of taking a subtle swipe at Meghan during their intimate chat by a royal expert. The A-listers watched side by side from the VIP section and shared a slew of images together throughout the night After Gayle posted some pictures with the squad of stars at the concert, numerous people rushed to the comment section to ask, 'Where's Meghan?' At one point, Tina was discussing having business ventures alongside her singer daughter when she explained, 'We have disagreements about things, but it's her business. 'I'm helping with the business because I just want to leave this earth knowing that she, other than entertainment, is going to be okay. 'Otherwise, we get along really well. If we have a disagreement, it's her business, so she gets to win.' Tina went on to say that if they ever get into an argument she always makes sure to pick up the phone and call her daughter to apologize so that they don't 'waste time' being mad at each other. Royal Correspondent Sarah Hewson told The Sun afterwards that she saw that as a dig towards Meghan, who reportedly doesn't speak to her father, Thomas Markle. Her husband, Prince Harry, also has had a very strained relationship with his own dad, King Charles, ever since he left the monarchy. 'There was one particular line that stood out for me when Tina said [she always makes up with her daughter],' Sarah said. 'Oh, wow, OK, because, you're talking to someone who is no longer speaking to her father and whose husband is no longer speaking to his father. And a lot of time is passing.'

Joe Rogan deepens rift with Trump by praising 'hilarious' South Park episode that mocked naked president
Joe Rogan added more fuel to the fire between him and Donald Trump after calling the South Park episode that mocked the president 'f***ing hilarious.' During The Joe Rogan Experience on Friday, the podcaster sat down with former CIA officer Mike Baker and talked about the current 'chaos' of American politics. Specifically, Rogan, who endorsed Trump, hit out on the controversial animated episode which featured Trump in bed with Satan, and a deepfake of the commander-in-chief wandering nude in the desert. 'There's so much chaos. It's so f***ed up. There's just so much madness. Oh my god. Did you see the episode?,' Rogan asked Baker. 'They did a Donald Trump one with Satan. It's f***ng hilarious.' Baker told Rogan he did not watch it, but hailed the comedy as a 'great show.' Rogan's recent comment comes after his continued criticism of Trump and his administration, especially when it comes to the release of the Jeffrey Epstein files. The episode touched on the ongoing controversy taking over the country and the MAGA world, as it addressed the alleged Epstein client list. The Department of Justice said it concluded the pedophile did not possess a 'client list' and decided against releasing any additional records from the probe. Meanwhile, Trump was informed months ago by Attorney General Pam Bondi that his name appears 'multiple times' in the Epstein investigation files, among other high-profile people, the Wall Street Journal reported. In last week's South Park episode, which was the season 27 premiere of the hit show, a naked Trump was seen laying in bed next to Satan before the two discussed the reported list. 'Another random b**** commented on my Instagram that you're on the Epstein list,' Satan said. 'The Epstein list?' Trump asks. 'Are we still talking about that?' Attempting to get answers, Satan probes: 'Well, are you on the list or not? It's weird that whenever it comes up, you just tell everyone to relax.' 'I'm not telling everyone to relax,' Trump replies, before quipping: 'Relax, guy!' During that same episode of his famed podcast, Rogan singled out FBI Director Kash Patel during his explosive take on the fallout over the alleged cover up relating to Epstein. 'When Kash Patel was on here and he was like "there was nothing", my thought was I'm going to put this out there and let the internet do its work,' Rogan said. 'The guy's saying there are no tapes, no video. That doesn't make any sense, everybody knows that doesn't make any sense.' Rogan added: 'Then he's like, "Well, we have a film, we're gonna release that film", and the film has a f****** minute missing from it.' The footage he had been referring to is surveillance clips of Epstein's New York City cell where he hung himself in 2019. The clip was released earlier this month. 'Do you think we're babies? Like, what is this?', the comedian and UFC color commentator added. Bondi also allegedly acknowledged that the administration should withhold the files due to them containing images of child sexual abuse. The president associated with Epstein and British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell in the 1980s and 1990s. Rogan has not just been critical of Trump's handling of the Epstein documents, but also his immigration raids across the county. Earlier this month, he pleaded with the president to 'back off' on deporting migrants from the US during a secret dinner, sources revealed. The media personality, who attended Trump's inauguration in January, dined with Trump and UFC CEO Dana White on June 30 - just three days before Rogan bashed the ICE raids, a person with knowledge of their conversations told The Washington Post. He called the ICE raids 'insane' and 'horrific' in a July 3 episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, and agreed with Amjad Masad, the CEO of Replit, that the actions of Trump's administration were 'disappointing.' 'There's two things that are insane,' the host said. 'One is the targeting of migrant workers. Not cartel members, not gang members, not drug dealers. 'Just construction workers. Showing up in construction sites, raiding them. Gardeners. Like, really?' Rogan went on to mention the viral moment Rumeysa Ozturk, a Turkish student who was detained by ICE agents at Tufts University in March who co-authored a critical essay on Israel. 'And that's enough to get you kicked out of the country,' he added, referring to Ozturk. Not only has Rogan spoken out against Trump, but he recently urged a liberal lawmaker to run for president. He fawned over Democratic Texas state Rep. James Talarico on his show about two weeks ago, telling the 36-year-old to begin a new generation of leadership. Talarico is a former teacher who joined the Texas state legislature in 2018 at just 28. He often receives millions of views on Instagram clips where he shares his speeches and previously argued there are 'six genders.' He is known as a devoutly religious lawmaker who rails against the rise of 'Christian Nationalism' on the right, a topic that earned Rogan's seal of approval this week. After being told by Rogan to seek the White House, Talarico brushed off the remark. 'Can I actually push back on that?' he responded. 'We were talking about how politics has become a religion. This is one of the ways it does. People put all their faith in a politician.' Talarico name checked Trump and former Democratic presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders as examples, saying that while he 'likes Bernie... some people treat him as if he's a messianic figure.'
