She continued to express a renewed confidence regarding her wants and boundaries, stating that she finally feels comfortable being single.
"Marriage is a long-term commitment and I think I want a long-term commitment. I just don't need to get married," Theron clarified.
Her stance on modern dating revealed her frustrations with the landscape of dating apps.
She lambasted the exclusive dating platform Raya, labelling it a "f****** clown show", and highlighted her hate for clichés often seen in profiles, advising to stay clear of vague job titles, photos featuring exes, and typical "Burning Man" shots.
Despite the challenging dating scene, Theron seems to have found a new pleasure in her sexual experiences: "I'm having the kind of sex I never had in my twenties or my thirties."
Reflecting on her past relationships, she said that she often "lost herself" in them.
"I used to be a person that would watch herself," she noted.
During the podcast, Theron also revisited an incident of sexual harassment involving an unnamed director.
She recounted how he allegedly attempted to make a move on her during a casting audition.
She described being invited to the director's house under false pretences, only to be met with unwanted advances.
He allegedly answered the door in pyjamas, then proceeded to "put his hand on my knee". She said that she immediately got up and left.
Theron has never said the name of the director.
"I don't want the story to be about him. It's not because I'm protecting him or anything ... He got nervous for a little bit. He heard me tell the story, and he knew it was about him, and he wrote me a pretend letter trying to explain his behaviour and how I must have misunderstood it, which is classic, isn't it? It's so classic."
Theron continued to claim that the director "panicked" about her going public.
'I won't even f****** say your name because you know you're the scumbag. You know it's you," Theron said.
"If anybody ever asked me about him, I would be completely honest and he knows that. I kind of like that he's got to be on a hot seat. He doesn't know when it's going to come. I kind of like that a little more."
As the conversation unfolded, the single mother of two daughters, Jackson and August, said she maintains that the freedom to opt out of relationships that no longer serve her is paramount to her essence.

Theron, 49, revealed during Wednesday's episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast that she recently had a one-night stand with a 26-year-old, describing the moment as 'fun' and 'refreshing' after years of maintaining a tightly controlled public image. 'Young again': Charlize Theron on one-night stand On the podcast, the American-South African star confessed that the experience was spontaneous and left her feeling 'young again'. 'I think I've had three one-night stands in my life,' she said. 'It's not my thing, but this one was just… I was in a different place.' 'The Old Guard 2' star on dating apps Charlize Theron arrives at the Los Angeles premiere of Netflix's 'The Old Guard 2' at the Netflix Tudum Theater in Hollywood, Los Angeles on 26 June 2025. Picture: Xavier Collin/ Image Press Agency/ NurPhoto via AFP Theron also spoke about dating in her forties, describing it as the first time in her life she's felt truly comfortable being single. On dating apps, she called the exclusive platform Raya 'a f****** clown show' and advised men to avoid clichés like Burning Man photos, pictures with exes, or vague job titles. WATCH: Charlize Theron gets candid on 'Call Her Daddy' 'The Old Guard 2': Theron vs Thurman The confession came as Theron promoted The Old Guard 2, the sequel to her 2020 Netflix hit, written by Gregory Rucka, who also penned the graphic novels. Theron reprises her role as Andy, the lethal warrior leading a team of immortal mercenaries, joined by co-star Uma Thurman as the villainous Discord. Her arrival threatens the stability of everything Andy's team has protected over the years. KiKi Layne, Charlize Theron and Uma Thurman arrive at the Los Angeles premiere of Netflix's 'The Old Guard 2' held at the Netflix Tudum Theater in Hollywood. Picture: Xavier Collin/Image Press Agency/ NurPhoto via AFP Director Victoria Mahoney told Cosmic Book News that the match-up between Theron and Thurman is central to the movie's emotional and action-driven core. 'I believe audiences are excited to see Black Mamba and Atomic Blonde go toe to toe. 'For me, in any fight scene, there has to be a worthy opponent. Worthy opponents effortlessly elevate fight beats, likewise, worthy opponents effortlessly elevate dramatic beats.' Uma Thurman in the mix: Charlize Theron ups her stunt game Theron noted that having the Kill Bill star on board made her up her game in the stunt department. 'Her action is so strong, and she's really raised the bar. So I felt like I had to really bring it. She was going to bring it, so I had to bring it,' she added. Critical response to 'The Old Guard 2' Theron's personal revelation on Call Her Daddy seemed to align with the film's theme of confronting one's humanity – even in the face of immortality. 'It was nice to feel wanted,' Theron said of her younger hook-up, 'and I'm not ashamed of that.' While Theron's personal comments dominated headlines, The Old Guard 2 itself has drawn solid early reviews. Collider highlighted the film's deeper exploration of Andy's guilt and sense of duty, while praising the addition of Uma Thurman, who brings gravitas to a new role in the immortal mercenary squad. The 'bad immortal' Discord (Uma Thurman) searches for Andy in 'The Old Guard 2'. Pictures: Supplied/ Netflix Fans of the first film will likely enjoy the sequel's bigger action set pieces and its more introspective character moments. Whether or not Theron's dating confession was a calculated PR move or a genuine off-the-cuff reveal, it certainly added buzz to her latest Netflix blockbuster. What's next for Charlize Theron? Later this month, Theron will join the set of Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey at a point when the acclaimed director and the rest of the cast have already been filming for five months. The South African-born superstar will portray the mighty sorceress, Circe. 'I feel like I'm going to be the new kid on the block – and everybody will know what they're doing and not me,' Theron shared with The Hollywood Reporter. Blake Lively subpoenas major media figures in Justin Baldoni smear campaign case
Blake Lively is intensifying her case against Justin Baldoni.. Image: Instagram. Hollywood actress Blake Lively has reportedly issued subpoenas to several prominent content creators in the US, including Perez Hilton, Candace Owens and Andy Signore, for her ongoing case against Justin Baldoni. This new development is part of Lively's effort to substantiate her claims of an alleged smear campaign orchestrated by Baldoni, her co-star and director in the film "It Ends With Us", whom she accused of sexual harassment and retaliation. Baldoni has denied the sexual harassment allegations made against him by Lively. According to online reports, the subpoenas were issued in an attempt to obtain communication records between these influencers and Baldoni or his associates. Lively's lawyers aim to prove that Baldoni's team was behind a campaign designed to malign her reputation in the lead-up to the film's release. Owens, a political commentator, author and activist, however, expressed her surprise at the news in a statement to "People". "Given the fact that I have not received any subpoena yet, I appreciate Blake's team leaking this to 'TMZ' to alert me to it," she said. Owens added: "I have no idea what I am being subpoenaed for, as I knew none of these parties when their respective lawsuits were filed. But stay tuned, and I'll let audiences know on my podcast ('The Candace Cameron Bure Podcast')." Hilton, a veteran celebrity blogger who has been tracking the developments of this high-profile case, responded in a video to his followers, stating: "I take this very seriously … I have not been served a subpoena yet. But I will comply with the law and I have nothing to hide." Signore, who has a YouTube channel focusing on celebrity trials, also took to social media to clarify his position. Watch his full video below. Baldoni's alleged $400 million countersuit against Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, was recently dismissed by Judge Lewis J. Liman, who ruled against Baldoni's claims of extortion and defamation. Meanwhile, Lively's legal team argues that Baldoni and his team are responsible for strategically disseminating damaging content about her online. Her complaint includes allegations that Baldoni's team "seeded" negative content with online creators and across platforms like Reddit to escalate the harm to Lively's image, a claim backed by various incidents leading up to the film's premiere in August 2024. Lively has extended her reach, also issuing subpoenas to music executive Scooter Braun and indicating interest in the communications of other influential friends, including Taylor Swift and Hugh Jackman. The trial is set to start on March 9, 2026.
