I believe we have such a scenario in the WNBA on Tuesday, with the Washington Mystics visiting the Chicago Sky as a three-point road favorite with a total of 156.5.
Chicago is coming off an emotional win over the Connecticut Sun, snapping a three-game skid, all blowouts.
Plus, Angel Reese recorded her first career triple-double.
Meanwhile, Washington's most recent game was an embarrassing 89-56 home loss to the Atlanta Dream. The Mystics mustered only 22 points in the second half and shot just 29.5 percent from the field in the game.
Given these scenarios, I believe the right approach is to back Washington to rebound and play with more focus and energy.

The Mystics are not an elite team, but they have demonstrated they are solid and could compete for a playoff spot. That's enough to view them as reliable in this spot.
I also think this edge in talent, effort and determination is most pronounced in the first half.
I expect the Sky to start flat off the big win.

The Washington Capitals announced they have traded defenseman Chase Priskie and the 123rd pick in the NHL draft to the Minnesota Wild for defenseman Declan Chisholm and the 180th pick in the draft. Priskie recorded 35 points in 61 game with the Hershey Bears in the regular season before adding five points in eight games in the Calder Cup Playoffs. Advertisement The 29-year-old notched 14 points in 20 games while helping the Bears win back-to-back Calder Cups last season, he played big minutes and powerplay time during the run. A native of Pembroke Pines, Fla., Priskie has no points in four career NHL games with the Florida Panthers and 164 points in 314 career AHL games. He also has 20 points in 35 career AHL playoff games. It will be interesting to see if Priskie sees any time with Minnesota or if he will anchor the Iowa Wild blueline. Chisholm put up 12 points in 66 games with Minnesota this season, he had five points in six AHL games with the Manitoba Moose last season. Angel Reese is Selling Viral 'Mebounds' Shirt for $45 originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Initially used to scrutinize Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese for her struggles on offense, the phrase "Mebounds" may now end up earning her a significant amount of money. Advertisement The No. 7 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft out of LSU, who went on to become a WNBA All-Star in her rookie season, has been relentlessly mocked on social media for missing shots on offense but racking up rebounds off of those aforementioned missed shots. The phrase was coined by Bhen of Jeff Teague's "Club 520 Podcast" but has since been trademarked by Reese, who on Friday revealed that she is now selling "Mebounds" merchandise. The product line includes items such as hats, slides, beanies, hoodies and T-shirts, and as revealed by the Chicago Sun-Times, some of the proceeds will be going toward cyberbullying prevention. As seen on her website, the shirts come in a variety of colors and styles and even have different graphics on the front. The oversized T-shirt, which features the phrases "Mebounds" and "Anything That Comes Off That Board, It's Mine," also has a silhouette of Reese grabbing a rebound.
