"While I was processing all this, I noticed his nails were overgrown and not clean—not the look of a typical corporate employee. That set off my alarm bells. I told him I also had an account in the same bank and would check if my server was working (spoiler: I don't have an account there). He started insisting that his branch was in Chennai, but I pointed out that bank servers are centralised, so that shouldn't matter," the user said.
"Then I checked his ID card, which he was wearing. There was no mention of any company—just his name, a photo, and some random numbers that didn't make sense. I told him I couldn't help and walked away. Be careful of people who approach you with urgent money requests and elaborate stories. Scammers are getting creative and can look convincing at first glance," he added.
The post has since gone viral, igniting a wider discussion about the rising incidence of scams in public areas. One user wrote, "Lolz. First time? When I was a regular metro user, this used to be a quarterly experience - guys in cars running out of petrol, students who had lost metro cards, some dude with a snake too. Just say no."

A senior police officer, on condition of anonymity, said that a team may soon be dispatched to Hyderabad to probe the origin of the threat. 'Since all passengers boarded from Hyderabad, we plan to collect crucial boarding data, CCTV footage, and other relevant inputs from the Hyderabad airport,' he said. The Mohali police has formally requested the local airport authorities to provide footage to identify any suspicious activity. Investigators are working to determine whether the note was placed by someone during the Hyderabad boarding or left in the aircraft earlier.

Police said the lock on the van's back door was not secure and it was also crowded. According to the police, the van was also carrying more children than it could safely accommodate. The accident occurred at 1.30 pm. Sharad Patil, a shopkeeper and an eye witness, said, 'The rickshaw driver stopped and helped the children, while the van driver continued driving up to the signal—neither he nor the caretaker realized what had happened. We all stopped him and were so angry that we almost hit him, but instead, we decided to hand him over to the police.' One child suffered serious injuries, while the other escaped with minor wounds. Both are currently undergoing treatment at a hospital. Parents are furious and demanding accountability from the driver and the school. 'We have been demanding a safer school van for a long time. This same van comes every day to pick up the children.
