Killer to make ‘deathbed' bombshell
The man responsible for one of Australia's most notorious murders has claimed he will make an 'explosive' deathbed statement.
Bradley John Murdoch, 67, is close to death in Alice Springs, having been taken to palliative care from prison in recent weeks.
Murdoch killed British tourist Peter Falconio and tried to kidnap Joanna Lees in outback NT in 2001.
In 2005 Murdoch was found guilty of murder, and Mr Falconio's body has never been found.

'I know what they are,' Ms Bowles told 7News.
'And they will be explosive. It's a shame they weren't able to be released earlier,' she said.
'You can't sue a dead man. So if he's making the claims and he's died, then the proverbial might hit the fan.'
Further, 7News reports Murdoch will not be 'communicating positively with police', but detectives will again speak to him in his final days.
This week, territory police doubled the reward to $500,000 for information leading to Mr Falconio's body.
'He's (Murdoch) not being too forthcoming in regards to engaging with police, but we will continue doing what we have to,' NT police acting commander Mark Grieve told media.

'We think there's still people out there that may hold some information.'
'There may be someone out there that he's confided in, whether or not that's family or friends, we just don't know.'
Police had contacted Mr Falconio's family this week, Superintendent Grieve said.
Mr Falconio's death had 'captured the heart of the country' when it occurred and 'never gone away', Superintendent Grieve said.
On holiday from the UK, Mr Falconio, 28, and his girlfriend Ms Lees, then 27, were driving a Combi van north of Barrow Creek in central NT on July 14, 2001.
Murdoch – a drug runner – waved them to the side of the road and shot Mr Falconio.
Ms Lees was bound and placed in Murdoch's Land Cruiser but escaped and hid on the side of the road for hours before flagging down help.
A jury unanimously found Murdoch guilty of murder in 2005.
He was sentenced to life imprisonment, with a non-parole period of 28 years, before 'no body, no parole' laws came into effect in 2016.

Mum who trashed Turkish hotel room slammed by resort
A mother who admitted to destroying a hotel room in Türkiye during a drunken mishap has come under fire from the resort, which described the room as now 'unusable'. Georgia Harrison was arrested with her partner on May 7 after allegedly attempting to check out of the Lexia Hotel in Antalya without reporting the destruction. A judge has since ordered her to pay £15,000 (A$31,000) in damages. Now seeking financial help through a GoFundMe campaign, Ms Harrison admitted she 'got drunk and smashed the shower screen' in what she called the 'worst mistake of my life.' The 32-year-old British woman, who had been celebrating her boyfriend's new teeth at the time, claims she was thrown into a Turkish jail cell crowded with 'hundreds of men' and held for several days. She has since been barred from leaving Türkiye until the hotel receives payment for the damages. Meanwhile, the hotel has issued a scathing statement in response to the incident, and supplied images to The Mirror that show the full extent of the damage caused to the couple's room. Ms Harrison previously claimed she had only broken the glass screen in the bathroom, but says she was told by her legal team to 'stay quiet'. In the fundraising plea, she revealed she attempted to get the fine lifted with the help of legal professionals but raised concerns about getting 'robbed left, right and centre' by what she claims are corrupt lawyers and translators. According to the hotel, the damage to the room was extensive. The shower was 'completely broken,' the television had been 'removed and rendered unusable,' and the exterior window was shattered after 'an object was thrown from inside.' The squalid home where Queensland teenager Pheobe Bishop lived before she was allegedly murdered by her housemates has undergone an extensive cleanup. Fresh photos, first published by the Courier Mail on Tuesday, have revealed the home in the regional town of Gin Gin near Bundaberg has been transformed from its once-derelict condition. Rubbish seen just last month piled throughout the front yard has been removed, while parts of the property's exterior appear to have been repainted. Dozens of empty bottles of Coke, Mountain Dew and other soft drinks once seen scattered on the front porch have also been taken away. The images, captured by 7News, showed the floors strewn with what appeared to be furniture debris, clothing and rubbish. Further footage showed stacks of trash on beds, garbage bags on the floor, and dog faeces throughout the home. Earlier in the police investigation, there were reports a number of dead dogs had been removed from the property. The home also appears to have undergone a new coat of paint. After a large-scale investigation, Pheobe's two housemates James Wood, 34, and his partner Tanika Bromley, 33, were charged with the teenager's murder. Mr Wood and Ms Bromley have also been charged with two counts each of interfering with a corpse. The landlords, who lived at the address when they were first married, claimed the home had sustained damage like patched holes on walls which were not there prior to Ms Bromley and Mr Wood moving in. "The air tastes dirty and it smells just … I don't know how people can be breathing in this," one landlord said. A GoFundMe page had been created on behalf of the landlords to help support the repairs and clean-up efforts. The fundraiser, which is no longer accepting donations, raised $2,275.
