Caitriona Balfe, Fiona Shaw, more join 'Sense and Sensibility' remake
July 21 (UPI) -- Focus Features announced additional cast for its new Sense and Sensibility film on Monday. Outlander's Caitriona Balfe, Killing Eve's Fiona Shaw, Frank Dillane, George MacKay, Herbert Nordrum and Bodhi Rae Breathnach have joined the cast.
Daisy Edgar-Jones and Esmé Creed-Miles star as Elinor and Marianne Dashwood in the Jane Austen adaptation. Focus announced the film in June and it is in production in Britain.
Diana Reid wrote the adaptation, with Georgia Oakley as director. The Austen novel that inspired the film follows the Dashwoods, a widow and her three daughters, who are left poor by Mr. Dashwood's elder children.
A 1995 film adaptation won an Oscar for Emma Thompson's screenplay adaptation. It was nominated for Best Picture, Thompson and Kate Winslet's performances, cinematography, costume design and musical score.
Ang Lee directed that film. Focus re-released its 2005 Pride and Prejudice film earlier this year.

July 27 (UPI) -- Nick Hogan is paying tribute to his dad, the wrestler and media star Hulk Hogan, who died Thursday at the age of 71. "Thank you to everyone who has reached out to me and comforted me over the last few days. It truly means a lot. I'm sorry to everyone I have not responded to yet. This has been overwhelming and extremely difficult," Hogan wrote on Instagram Saturday. "Hearing so many kind words and stories about my dad's life, interactions and experiences with everyone has been incredible and comforting. My dad was the most incredible person I've ever known and will always be my hero. He was the most kind, loving and amazing father anybody could ask for. Addressing his father directly, he added: "Thank you for being my best friend. I love you so much Big Dog and I will miss you forever." The elder Hogan -- whose real name was Terry Bollea -- died at his Florida home at the age of 71. In addition to his career inside the WWE ring, Hogan starred in the reality shows Hogan Knows Best, American Gladiators and Hulk Hogan's Celebrity Championship Wrestling. His film credits include Rocky III, No Holds Barred, Suburban Commando, Mr. Nanny and Spy Hard.

Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams sang "Lose My Breath," "Bootylicious" and "Energy," along with Beyonce, in Las Vegas Saturday night. "Give it up for Destiny's Child!" Beyonce told the crowd as Rowland and Williams left the stage after the surprise performance. The trio were huge hit-makers from 1998 until 2004 when they broke up and Beyonce began pursuing a solo career. They last performed together at Coachella in 2018.

The announcement was made Saturday at San Diego Comic Con. Variety reported that Ketchup Entertainment bought the completed, live-action and animated hybrid film from Warner Bros. Discovery after the studio shelved it, along with Batgirl and Scoob! Holiday Haunt as part of a new business strategy and change of management. Deadline noted that Ketchup also recently released another Looney Tunes movie, The Day the Earth Blew Up. "I'm pretty speechless," The Hollywood Reporter quoted Forte as telling the crowd at SDCC. "It blows my mind. You think back to the journey this movie has taken. I had kind of given up hope at a certain point, so this is amazing."
