
1 person in hospital following shooting in North York
One person has been rushed to the hospital following a shooting in North York on Sunday night.
The incident happened in the Glenfield-Jane Heights neighbourhood, near Driftwood Avenue and Grandravine Drive.
Toronto police say they were called to that area just after 9 p.m. for reports of someone who had be shot.
Investigators say a female victim was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say they also found 'evidence of gunfire' at the scene.
Motorists should expect road closures in the area as police investigate, they said.
The investigation is ongoing.

Sask. man killed in ATV rollover
An RCMP cruiser can be seen in this file photo. (David Prisciak/CTV News) RCMP say a 23-year-old man is dead following an ATV rollover in Odessa, Sask. Friday evening. Police along with STARS Air Ambulance and EMS were called to the scene around 7 p.m., an RCMP news release said. RCMP said the 23-year-old man, from Fenwood, Sask., was the only occupant of the ATV and was pronounced dead at the scene. The man's family has been notified, RCMP said. His name was not released. RCMP are continuing to investigate. Odessa, Sask. is about 65 kilometres southeast of Regina.

Brandon man dead after drowning at Sandy Lake Beach
A man from Brandon drowned Saturday while swimming with others at Sandy Lake Beach, according to RCMP. At approximately 11:05 p.m., Yellowhead RCMP received a report of a possible drowning at Sandy Lake Beach in Sandy Lake—about 225 kilometres northwest of Winnipeg. According to an initial investigation, RCMP said a 32-year-old man along with three others were swimming in the lake when they noticed he was missing. The man was located shortly after in the water and brought to a nearby dock where he received medical assistance. RCMP said when they arrived on scene, emergency medical services were performing CPR on the man. He was later pronounced deceased. Yellowhead RCMP continue to investigate, though no criminality is suspected.
