
Pedestrian struck by vehicle while crossing the street in Dartmouth: HRP

A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle early Sunday morning in Dartmouth.
Halifax Regional Police said officers responded to the collision around 1:30 a.m. at the intersection of Victoria Road and Frances Street. A 49-year-old man was crossing the street when he was hit.
Police said he was taken to hospital with what are believed to be life-threatening injuries.
Victoria Road was closed while police investigated but reopened around 4:15 a.m.
Police said the investigation is ongoing and no charges have been laid at this time.

Toronto police say they received a call for a stabbing at 6:15 p.m. in the area of Glen Everest Road and Wynnview Crescent, east of Kingston Road. When officers arrived, they located the man suffering from stab wounds. He was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police say. No suspect information has been released.
