The official synopsis reads: "With a gripping storyline, fast-paced action and comedy, Hotel Costiera follows Daniel De Luca, a half Italian former US Marine. Daniel returns to Italy, the land of his childhood, as a fixer in one of the world's most luxurious hotels, located on the spectacular coastline of Positano."
"While he is forced to deal with the wealthy guests' issues, he is also brought in to investigate the disappearance of one of the owner's daughters, Alice. Daniel must do everything he can to bring her home, but facing those who kidnapped the girl will be more challenging than any problem Daniel has ever faced."
The series premiered in true Italian style in Sicily's Taormina, at The Taormina Film Festival giving fans a first look into Hotel Costiera's opening episode.
Director Adam Bernstein shared his excitement about casting Jesse Williams in the lead role, saying: "It's an amazing opportunity for me to work with Jesse Williams on Costiera."
"I've always admired his work – both on stage and screen, and he's the first actor that came to my mind for the role of Daniel De Luca. Jesse provides a perfect combination of intelligence, charisma, and humour, and we're incredibly lucky to have him at the centre of our show."
The six-part series will be released on September 24 on Prime Video.

Lincoln Lawyer fans should watch this upcoming drama set in the same universe ahead of series 4 debut
Lincoln Lawyer is expected to return for season four later this year or potentially early 2026 on Netflix. WARNING: This article contains spoilers from The Lincoln Lawyer. Lincoln Lawyer fans are eagerly waiting for the Netflix hit's comeback but in the meantime, there is another show from the works of author Michael Connelly on the way. Season three of Mickey Haller's (played by Manuel Garcia-Rulfo) dropped on Netflix in October 2024, ending with a cliffhanger, which could mean the charming lawyer is going to be put behind bars. Thankfully, that's not quite the end of the story just yet with The Lincoln Lawyer renewed for season four a few months later, although an official release date hasn't been announced. The Netflix legal drama is based on the award-winning book series by author Michael Connelly with series four expected to be based on his sixth novel, The Law of Innocence. But while fans wait for its return, another book set in Connelly's universe, as well as Prime Video's Bosch, is gearing up to come out. Based on the author's Renee Ballard book series, Ballard is the next crime drama to be released on Prime Video. Inspired by real-life LAPD Detective Mitzi Roberts, who was also a consultant on Bosch, Ballard is relentless and smart with a strong moral compass that guides everything that she does. In the books, she works on the LAPD midnight shift and focuses on her complicated relationship with being on the force as well as her own issues. Ballard will be portrayed by Designated Survivor actress Maggie Q who got her initial introduction during the series finale of Bosch: Legacy. She teamed up with Harry Bosch (Titus Welliver) to work on the Flower Girls missing women case which has been deemed as the toughest of his career. Ballard will be released on Tuesday, July 9, on Prime Video and will consist of 10 episodes in total. Q will be joined by Fargo star John Carroll Lynch as Ballard's seasons partner Tomas Laffront, as well as actress Courtney Taylor as her ex-protégé Samira Park. It has already been confirmed that Welliver will reprise his role as Harry Bosch in the drama as it picks up after the Bosch: Legacy finale. As of yet, there has been no confirmation that Lincoln Lawyer star Garcia-Rulfo or any other members of the Netflix cast are going to feature.
