Mini Mahanadu a grand success at Fremont in US
The event organised by NRI TDP leader Srikant Doddapaneni had begun at 7 pm on Wednesday at Bheemavaram Ruchulu Banquet Hall in the Bay Area of Fremont. It was conducted in a 'never before-ever after' way and rich tributes are paid to late NT Rama Rao.
TDP MPs from both the Telugu States, Ministers, MLAs and party senior leaders along with BRS leaders from Telangana virtually attended the event. TUDA chairman Diwakar Reddy, TDP politburo member Nakka Ananda Babu along with several party senior leaders attended the event virtually.
Party leader Jayaram Kumati expressed happiness over large scale attendance by TDP leaders for the programme. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who closely followed the footsteps of late NTR, has encouraged IT industry following which Telugus are now holding high positions in the sector across the globe, he said.
All those who are present made it clear that they will follow the directions of Chandrababu Naidu and IT Minister Nara Lokesh, and that they will try their best for the progress of Navya Andhra.

Apple recently unveiled the latest version of its iOS operating system — iOS 26 at the company's annual developer conference WWDC 2025. Now an online report has revealed that iOS 26 may introduce a useful feature which will protect users from dangerous calls or scams. As reported by 9to5Mac, the iOS 26 update will introduce a feature in which FaceTime will automatically freeze video and audio if it detects someone undressing during an ongoing call. This new feature is part of Apple's expanded Communication Safety tools which the company has designed to prevent young individuals from inappropriate exposure. As per the report, the feature is presently live in the developer beta of iOS 26. The feature uses on-device machine learning to detect nudity in realtime. If triggered, the call is paused and message appears on screen. 'Audio and video are paused because you may be showing something sensitive. If you feel uncomfortable, you should end the call,' reads the message. Users can then select whether they want to resume of end the call. Announced at WWDC 2025, as a safeguard for child accounts, the feature is now active for all users. Apple maintains that all detection happens locally on the device, ensuring end-to-end encryption and user privacy. Apple has not confirmed whether the feature will remain active for all users in the final public release of iOS 26, expected later this year alongside the next iPhone lineup. For now, beta testers may find their calls unexpectedly paused—whether they're aware of the feature or not.

The central government has announced new regulations under the 'Motor Vehicles Aggregator Guidelines 2025' that are expected to reshape the operations of cab aggregators like Ola, Uber, and Rapido. These guidelines, issued by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, advise states to adopt the revised norms within the next three months. Here are five key points from the new guidelines that could impact both passengers and drivers: Surge Pricing Increased: Cab aggregators can now charge up to double the base fare during peak hours (previously 1.5 times). Minimum Fare During Off-Peak: A minimum of 50% of the base fare can be charged during non-peak hours. Minimum Distance for Base Fare: The base fare must cover a minimum distance of 3 kilometres. Fairer Driver Compensation: Drivers owning their vehicles must receive at least 80% of the total fare collected; aggregator-owned vehicle drivers must get at least 60%. Both Drivers and Passengers Face Cancellation Penalties: The government has also set new rules for cancellations. If a driver cancels a ride after accepting it without a valid reason, a penalty of 10 per cent of the fare - up to a maximum of Rs 100 - will be charged. The same rule applies to passengers who cancel a ride without a valid reason. Frequent transfers may hit GST collections, warns AP GST association leaders
Chowdary Purushottam Naidu, honorary president, AP GST Officers and Employees Association, has strongly opposed the transfer of all departmental staff on Thursday. He urged Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to intervene and protect the interests of the department and its employees, as the decision taken by higher authorities might lead to a decline in GST collections. According to a press release, he said that a delegation from the association requested Minister for Finance Payyavula Keshav, and TDP State president Palla Srinivasa Rao to bring the matter to the notice of the Chief Minister, noting that in the past three decades, no department in the State had experienced frequent and 100% transfers. Mr. Purushottam Naidu, along with the association's State president, Allina Ramesh Kumar, State associate president, Rayi Venugopal and general secretary Kalyan, interacted with Mr. Srinivasa Rao and urged him to use his good office to protect the interests of officials and staff concerned about the annual transfers. Mr. Purushottam Naidu said: 'Transferring all officials and staff hampers work since it takes a lot of time and effort to get acquainted with dealers, traders and others. Additionally, it is impossible for them to meet the GST targets.'
